Stopped here after a rafting trip. They have a make your own sandwich, picking from a variety of breads, meats, cheeses, and toppings. I got Italian garlic bread, hummus, and pepper jack cheese. I grew up with fresh bread from a bakery my parents frequented, so I tend to be picky. The bread was fantastic, and the hummus was really tasty. I would get this again in an instant. I also got the Beautiful shake, also very yummy. It’s not the overly sweet type, so if that’s your thing, don’t expect that from this shake. They have a variety of baked goods, and I couldn’t pass up them making a chocolate chocolate cookie sandwich with cookie dough in the middle. You can select other options. I saved this for later, and what a treat it was. Some of the staff are in training(per the sign mentioning this which is a brilliant way to avoid complaining customers when they know people are brand new), I’m guessing since it’s the beginning of the summer season. However, l to my embarrassment, I wound up dropping my shake and making a huge mess. They were very polite and quick to clean it up. If you want some delicious baked goods, this is the place to go. Even if you’re not looking for anything sweet, stop here for a tasty sandwich.

This place looks just like any other shops around here, but it’s hands down the best sandwich I ever had. The options can be a bit overwhelming but take your time. You’re going to love it.

I absolutely ADORE this little gem of a place. My son lives in Ohiopyle and kept telling me about this awesome little sandwich shop that he loved. When I finally got the chance to visit and try it, he was right! I never go to Ohiopyle without stopping in, usually several times per trip! The bagels are fresh and yummy and the sandwiches are made to order– all very delish, I might add. The owners are super nice and they go out of their way to make you happy. If you go to Ohiopyle, you simply MUST check this place out.

This place was so adorable and delicious! The pepperoni rolls tasted fantastic! The sandwiches were also really delicious and the cookies were to die for! I hope I will get the chance to return and eat there again.

Cute bungalow café and bakery. Inside reminds of Key West– colors and offbeat feel. Food is make your own sandwiches, smoothies and juices, coffee, and bottled drinks. Good place for a short lunch, light meal. Very pleasant covered patio outside as inside seating is extremely limited. Very friendly staff.

Great little bakery and sandwich shop. Best pretzel roll I’ve had in a long time(and I’m from Philly). We camped in Ohiopyle and hiked over here for lunch a few times. Highly recommended!

What an adorable little bakery! We were staying in the general Ohiopyle area for a little weekend getaway, and I stopped down to the Ohiopyle Bakery for breakfast bagels. The shop is tiny but cozy, and they have a surprisingly large selection of baked goods for the size of the building. They had to make some fresh bagels when I got there, but the wait was only a few minutes, and boy was it worth it! Bagels were soft, extra-fresh, and still warm when I got them back to our cabin. We didn’t even need to toast them, they were so fresh! But perhaps my favorite part of this little bakery was… DOGCOOKIES! Yes, they have cookies for your dog. Miss Lucy LOVED hers. She devoured it in record time and was smiling all morning. There is a small amount of seating inside, but also some outdoor picnic tables. They’re open early(6am!) so you can grab your snacks and coffee before setting off on the bike trail or hiking paths. Also, just a little touch that I really found to be charming: the signs in the bakery case are all little paddles, since Ohiopyle is the whitewater rafting capital of the greater Pittsburgh area. I just love attention to detail like that. I know where we will be stopping every time we return to the woods!

This place is a pretty standard bakery. My friends and I were looking for somewhere to go after checking out Fallingwater and we Unilocaled this bakery. They have donuts, pies, and cookies mostly. I’m big on presentation and this left something to be desired. The only thing I really wanted to try was the cannolis but I prefer them to have mascarpone instead of cream cheese. I did get a dog treat for my wheaten terrier and he loved it. But he loves anything. My friend did the build a cookie option and took those sweets home to her husband. You can pick a chocolate chip, chocolate chocolate, choclate mint, sugar and snickerdoodle cookie with vanilla, chocolate, oreo, smores, or cookie dough cream. The funniest part of this place is the adjacent hot dog stand«Bite My Weiner.» They sell t-shirts with this classy phrase.

I was in town to visit Fallingwater and stopped here with friends for breakfast prior to our morning tour. I think it was the only place that was open at 7am in the morning. I got the breakfast sandwich with egg, sausage, American Cheese on a whole wheat oatmeal bagel. The bagel was very nicely toasted and I thought it was on par with NY bagel standards. My friends tried their signature breakfast sandwich with egg, sausage, cheese on a glazed donut. This seemed a bit heavy for breakfast, especially when going to a 2-hour tour later in the day. But my friends liked the combo. The girl who took our order was patient and attentive. Definitely a good place to go for breakfast/snack if you’re in the area.

It was just unassuming but cute on the side of the road in Ohiopyle, but those sandwiches and cookies tasted splendid. The bread was fresh sliced and the chicken salad homemade and the sweet peppers just right. Even the cucumbers were so thinly sliced they laid like sliced cheese. Just splendid.

We came in here for a breakfast sandwich to fill us up before a busy day. The concept is awesome, choose from almost 10 types of bread/bagels. The breakfast option comes with egg/cheese and your choice bacon or sausage.(add veggies for .50 cents) I went with the ciabatta breakfast sandwich and my boyfriend had the bagel sandwich, they were both really good. What I dock stars on is the disorganization amount the staff, they didn’t seem to have it together. We had to wait almost 15 minutes for two breakfast sandwiches which seemed like ALOT of time for something that simple.

I’ve had their breakfast sandwiches, their regular sandwiches, and some of their delicious sides as well(pepperoni rolls and cookies). This location has delicious freshly made food, friendly and cheerful people, and a gorgeous view. Have enjoyed talking with the owners on multiple occasions. If you come through the area, I highly recommend you stop here! Been here three times. Once for Falling Waters, once for rafting, and once for hiking, and each time I visit the bakery is a pleasure and delicious.

Highly recommend. Sandwiches made to order, with choice of several delicious made breads. Great place to pick up a sandwich, a sweet treat and enjoy lunch across the street next to the river and enjoy the view of the waterfalls, etc. I highly recommend the cookies, chocolate chip was the best. The orange muffin was also excellent — dense like a muffin should be! Delicious. I will be back for sure, next time I am in the area. Hooray!

With how little vegan options there were in Ohiopyle, we were so happy to find this sandwich shop. Their pretzel roll and Italian garlic bread are so amazing, we even bought a whole loaf of the Italian garlic before we left. My husband and I had all veggies and the oil/vinegar dressing. My mom had a chicken salad sandwich on white with a side of potato salad and loved hers. The combos are a great deal and include your choice of several sides and a drink. The local teas and apple juice were all delicious. I definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

I realize Ohiopyle might have a limited number of places to eat, but I do not recommend Ohiopyle Bakery and Sandwich Shop at all. Go eat anywhere else, and you’re probably better off. The sandwiches were mediocre and tiny for their price. My mom’s bagel came with a tiny sachet of cream cheese, that wasn’t enough at all. The ketchup we asked for with the sandwiches had gone bad, and one of them looked like a rat had eaten a hole into it hole in it. The two servers were high school girls who just could not get anything right. When we ordered the sandwiches, they didn’t tell us to help ourselves to the drinks we had bought, so we just sat and waited for them, until we asked, and were then told. I ordered a pepperoni roll, which they forgot about. When I reminded them, they asked if I wanted it heated up, I said yes, and 5 minutes later got an ice cold one. We ordered some cream puffs, which were the best thing we ate there, they forgot about those too, after eating our sandwiches and all, we waited 10 minutes and then reminded them about it, they said it would be right out. 10 minutes later, when I asked again, I was told that they were made fresh and that they usually take 20 minutes to make. When they finally came out, they were excellent, but by then we were in such a hurry we just swallowed it as fast as possible and left. Before leaving, I ordered 2 more pepperoni rolls, this time, i asked them not to heat them up because I was in a hurry, and then proceeded to wait 10 minutes while they were heated up. Lastly, when I did show the server the ketchup packet with the rat hole, she looked and me, said ‘oh!’ and then threw it in the trash and turned to the next costumer. There was no apology, no reassurance that something would be done to fix the problem, and no indication that they were going to bother doing anything about it. This might be one of those establishments that need spot health and safety inspections.

This is a mom & pop sandwich shop on the main streets of Ohiopyle. Its convenient if you’re about to go white water rafting or looking for a place to eat before/after Fallingwater or Laurel Caverns. We stopped in after spelunking in Laurel Caverns as we were starving! Build your own sandwiches on choice of bread, meats, veggies, condiments. Make it a combo with any sides. THEBREAD: Pick 1 Loaves: Roasted Italian Garlic, Country Wheat, or, Multi Grain Bagels: Plain, Everything, Asiago Cheese Rolls: Foccacia, Ciabbatta, Pretzel THEMEAT: Pick 1 Roasted Turkey, Virginia Ham, Chicken Breast, or Roast Beef THECHEESE: Pick 1 Provolone, White American, Pepper Jack, or Swiss THEVEGGIES: Pick as little or as many as you wish! Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Green Peppers, Black Olives, Jalapenos, Banana Peppers, Cucumbers, Sweet Peppers, Pickles THEDRESSINGS: Italian, Mustard, Mayo, Oil&Vinegar, Ranch, Ketchup, or Hummus Shoppe Sides…$ 1.00 Chips, Applesauce, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Fresh Fruit I got a veggie & provolone with spicy mustard on pretzel roll and DF got the roasted turkey with pepper jack on pretzel roll(see photos). The rolls were perfect with salt crystals and man was my spicy mustard hot!(I like things spicy!). We also got the Pepperoni Roll whice is a palm sized Hand pulled & folded bread roll filled with pepperoni, provolone and mozzarella cheese($ 0.89 ea). DF also got a side pickle and these were huge amusement park size! Side chips could be desired rather than Fritos, Sun Chips, Doritos, Cheetos. Apple sauce is an individual packet and not homemade. Cole slaw, potato salad and fresh fruit are. Lastly, grab ½ a dozen of cookies for the road or save room for a slice of blueberry/cherry/whatever-is-in-season pie that they have.

Fantastic place for sandwiches! My lady and I happened upon this place on our way back from Falling Water(which is fantastic by the way). I just wanted a simple roast beef sandwhich. It was delicious! My lady had a veggie sandwich that was good too. They also had a sign for free cookies for an A on kids’ report cards. So I asked, «What about teachers?» The manager or owner graciously gave me a free chocolate chip. It was so delicious and brownie-like I got four more. Also try the cookie with cream in the middle. So good! Stop reading this and drop by!
