The food was standard pub fare and is pretty good. But I’ve been here twice for lunch on a weekend and each time the service has been slow and/or subpar. The first time we asked to sit outside and the server appeared to forget we were out there; it took forever to get menus, then for our orders to be taken. The second time the bartender was clearly more interested in flirting with two women at the bar than bringing our check or change. Unless you’re looking for somewhere to have a beer and watch the game, go two doors down to Glenda’s Café instead. The food is better and the staff is much friendlier.

Service was perfect. Chicken pot pie and mac and cheese were spotted on. All the food we tried was the pinnacle of simple food done well. I can’t think of anyway it could have been improved on. Good job!

We just had dinner for the first time at Spitfire. The place is adorable. The chicken pot pie and gyro sandwich was outstanding. Rich, our server was attentive and very helpful. We could definitely make this be a go to place!

Recommended to us by a family in the area. Nice cozy place with plenty of parking and warm atmosphere. Friendly and knowledgeable bar and wait staff. Brittany was our server and she made several food suggestions and told us what Spit Fire was especially known for. We ordered the chili, flattop cheesesteak and a burger(along with a couple of adult beverages after she was kind enough to let me sample before ordering). All choices were outstanding and we were thanked for stopping there on our way out. Many televisions were playing, but the overall noise level was very tolerable. Brittany talked up their Sunday Brunch(even though we live :90 away)! Family friendly and worth the trip.

Our new favorite place. Friendly, great food, clean. Rich the waiter is the best. We come here on Fridays quite often and the Panko breaded cod is delicious.

Having friends that live in Waukesha means I’ve got a lock on the best places to pass time between Wisconsin’s state Capitol and the seventh largest city in the state. I could write a book on the subject.(Spoiler alert: There’s not much.) Among the places I’ve stopped, Spitfire stands out as having the best staff, and these three stars are for the solid gang that make the place run. Aside from them, food is just sort of fine. I mauled a burger that was a little bit on the smaller side of life when you consider the $ 11 I paid, and although I ordered it medium, it was closer to well.(Seems to be a common occurrence in Wisconsin.) Their local beer offerings on tap are dismal, they didn’t have any the night we were there, and in bottles it’s Spotted Cow or Hopalicious. Dessert didn’t impress either, a brownie a la mode that smelled stellar and looked great when it arrived, but lacked rich chocolately taste in my opinion. As I reflect on our evening, this could have been a case of ordering the wrong things, but because it’s not hop, skip or jump from Madison(about 50 minutes in the car) it’s unlikely I’ll find myself motivated to give it another try.

We went here on a Sunday night. We enjoyed friendly service, good food and a great atmosphere on the patio outside. Their burgers were really good. My family will be back!

Nice space — Nice patio — much better ambiance than most of the lakefront establishments in Okauchee. Stop in for a beer and a bite!

I don’t get out to this area of Wisconsin quite often, but when I am in the Pewaukee area, this is a fantastic place to stop and eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Side note, while it may be a drive from Tosa, their breakfasts can cure a hangover within moments. I highly recommend their Biscuits and Gravy for curing said hangover, with a perfectly spiced Bloody Mary to top it off. My other favorite is their cinnamon roll with a side of bacon-oh boy-the cinnamon roll is baked to perfection and all the gooey, buttery goodness is piping hot in a small cast-iron skillet, just waiting to be devoured. Lunch and dinner specials are always changing, new dishes come in and out as the chef whips up something different all the time. My favorites are the flatbreads(any of them, really), and the mac ‘n cheese-incredibly flavorful and cheesy, just the way it should be. Now, I may be a little biased with the staff and drinks since my father happens to be bartending on Friday and Sunday afternoons, HOWEVER, the staff is friendly and prompt, the bar is full of great drink options, new beers are always added to the rotation, and you get a free mimosa with breakfast. Great little spot for Pewaukee!

Very nicely done and has a feel of an eastside bar with an Okauchee location. A little pricier than other bars in the area — but hey its not your average slummy watering hole like most Okauchee taverns. The food is great also — the Spitfire burger is a must try! Thanks for stepping it up in my town Spitfire! Appreciated in our neighborhood!

Nice setup here! This is the first time I’ve been back to this location in several years. Last I was here, it was a classic tavern called Victoria’s, and now it’s a nicely re-done restaurant/pub. I was here meeting friends for some drinks. They had a reasonable beer selection, and the booze seemed to fulfill all the standard needs of a pub in SE Wisconsin. I did not eat food, but a couple other people in my group did. One was raving about the burger and fries he had, another guy with a fish fry said it was pretty tasty and that he’d been there before for the same time.(Return customer = good rating, in my book) Nice experience. I look forward to going back.

Great location, friendly service, decent food and an outstanding dessert. We stopped in here on a night of bar hopping in Okauchee last week. This was our third and last stop of the night. Patrons at a bar we’d visited earlier warned us that Spitfire was a bit pricier, and not quite as casual as the other bars in this area, which is pretty true. However, you definitely don’t have to be all dressed up to visit. We were fine in jeans. The food selection is definitely a bit higher end than most of what is offered in Okauchee, so if you’re looking for a break from the traditional fried food, Spitfire might be for you. We were looking for comfort food and went with the mac and cheese, which was only okay… but I also got the vanilla pound cake thing for dessert, and it was outstanding. I don’t remember the last time I ordered dessert at a restaurant, so this was a real treat — it didn’t disappoint.
