it’s a good place to eat since the price is cheap for a decent meal. it won’t blow you away but everything tastes very good.

This is the worst Chinese buffet I experienced in my entire life. I am Asian and have been to many buffets but no place can be worser than this. Nothing is fresh here including sushi. Tons of deep fried dishes like any other buffet but nothing taste good. Sushi is so gross. Just thinking about it makes me sick… I heard Hong Kong restaurant has lunch buffet. It is further away but I am sure it tastes better than this.

My sister & her husband love this place so we thought we’d give it a try. Delicious! Great service. Reasonable prices. The best crab ragoons I’ve had at a buffet place. They have a peanut butter chicken that is incredible. Everything we ate was good. Recommend to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced buffet place.

This is probably the best buffet that you’ll find in town. I think they have a great selection of food! Lots of seafood options as well. You’ll find all the popular American Chinese dishes here as well. My favorite was the green beans with garlic! So delicious! Service was good. Prices were also really reasonable with what you get. Id go here again :)

This buffet is great. It is far better than the one in my town. The sushi is great and there are so many choices. There is also dishes for picky kids to eat. There is also a wide variety of deserts, too. Like all buffets, dishes can be a hit or miss. For the most part, they were all good.

I don’t understand why all the low ratings for this buffet. I would say that for a buffet this place rocks. Lots I mean lots of options and the service here was very quick. The food was cooked fresh and hot when I stopped in for lunch. I came here before they did the remodel and I have to say WOW! The decorations and the new dining room is AMAZING! A must go if you’re in the area. Best asian buffet in the Lansing area!

My first visit to Asian buffet. It was really, really good! The sushi is a good variety and very tasty. The staff was friendly and inviting, they have a large variety for sorts of Chinese food lovers. They’ve got a great selection for kids too! Very clean and they’re buffet is very large. Not sure about alcohol though, I didn’t care I was hungry!

Been going here for many years and it is a great Chinese buffet. Lots of variety very consistent food. They also do a bunch of profit sharing to benefit the community.

Three and a half stars. The prices are very reasonable for what you get, and they price kids depending on their ages. So, lunch and a pot of tea for me and my two school-age kids came out to less than $ 20 with tip. Score! The good:(1) some dishes are good, like one of the spicy chicken dishes with jalapeño slices;(2) they have a variety of desserts, like ice cream that you scoop yourself, jello, custard, and swirl cake;(3) they have enough variety that both of my kids can find something to eat;(4) our dirty dishes were taken away promptly. The bad: consistency. Some dishes are good, some are okay, and some are not worth it. I guess you just have to try it to figure out which ones you like. Dinner costs about 50% more than lunch because they offer some seafood dishes, like salmon and shrimp. They also had garlic bread slices(looked like the ones you get from the frozen food section of the grocery store), and my son ate like four or five of them. Their fried chicken wings could use some more flavor, but they’re pretty good. Overall, the price is right, it’s clean, and we’ve never had a problem with the wait staff.

This is the quintessential Chinese food buffet. I’ve been going here for at least 10 years, and since moving out of state, I make it a habit of coming back here to eat every time I visit mid-Michigan. It’s Chinese fast food, not gourmet cuisine, but that’s kind of the point, right? They’ve recently expanded and renovated and it looks great inside, but the real pull is the all-you-can eat greasy, saucy, salty Chinese favorites. Obviously one of the perks of the buffet is that you can load up on sides. The crab rangoons(light on crab but sooooo creamy and crispy) and spring rolls are my personal favorites. I ate nine crab rangoons here yesterday. Nine! They’ve added a grill and more sushi options but to be honest I just stick to the precooked hot stuff. The sushi is like what you’d pick up at the grocery store, not worth the valuable stomach space. Lunch prices are a really great value as long as your afternoon schedule is light. As with any buffet you want to avoid the limbo between lunch and dinner when freshness, not just the origin of the meat, is questionable. This is my favorite Chinese buffet, and I compare every new one I visit to this one. So far none have surpassed it. So take the afternoon off(and some pepto if you want to be proactive), drop $ 8 for lunch, and enjoy all your favorite grease bombs.

I was halfheartedly welcomed — no big deal. Then I was shown to my table which was right in the middle of the restaurant … Not satisfactory. But the actual problem with my visit was that the food had obviously been sitting out for a while. Most of it was almost gone(some completely) and other items hardly seemed warm at all. This is when it hit me — it was 9pm … Was the buffet closing soon? Sure enough, I looked it up on my phone and the restaurant closes at 9:30 on weekdays. I wasn’t told, but it was obvious after I was given a cold shoulder. They brought me my bill at 9:20 and 5 mins later I was asked if I was ready to pay … Seriously? I was almost done with my second plate of food by then, but still. I was the second last person to leave — their clock read 9:30 but it was 2 mins fast. Miraculously, I had had enough to eat in less than 30mins, and the food was pretty good aside from the fact that it was getting cold. But because of the extremely poor service, the Asian buffet should consider itself lucky that I’m even giving it 2 stars.

When this place had their grand re-opening, I had high hopes. But they are starting to slip back into what they used to be. Boring, predictable food, and rude waitstaff. Waiters no longer look at you when you speak to them, even when thanking them! It’s almost like they don’t want to be bothered by the customers. And the food is hit or miss, and there is no variety. I’ve gone to Chinese buffets that had the same food, cooked better, but at cheaper prices. This place has lost it’s charm to me.

How do you measure the value/success a Chinese buffet? The number of Asian people? Aside from the workers, my brother and I were the only ones during the busy lunch rush. The number of fried selections? It seemed every third item was fried. For the East Lansing/Lansing/Okemos area, I can’t imagine there’s any place better for a buffet. The items were hot and fresh and the variety alone was impressive, which I guess is what Chinese buffets are. My favorite was the bourbon chicken(among an array of fried chicken, pepper chicken, orange chicken, General Tso’s chicken, and more. chicken.) because I haven’t seen it anywhere else. And the crab rangoons are seriously addictive. Extremely creamy and perfectly fried. There’s also some basic sushi rolls, your American staples of mac and cheese(which my brother said was the best), fries, etc. Service was pretty great. The man who seated us took our drink orders(rather than having to wait until someone else did that), and our plates were cleared off as SOON as we got up for more. I mean, I’m not going back any time soon(my brother really wanted to go there based on his boss’ recommendation) because of all the fried/high sodium selections. But I’m glad I gave it a try. Lunch buffet for two at $ 15(including a June special of $ 1 off) is a pretty good value.

I am tempted to give 4 stars but it just wasn’t quite there yet… I enjoyed this buffet just fine and had a terrific server… But the food selection and atmosphere of the place were just average. The food was well stocked and fresh but choices were somewhat predictable including sushi, made to order habachi items, dim sum, salads, ribs, noodles, fish, chicken, soups etc… There were many dishes with no signage which was frustrating… The price for lunch was a fair $ 8.99 so I’m not complaining and would go back.

Asian Buffet was recently renovated and it looks great inside. Everything is clean and bright and it is very spacious now. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The price is awesome for all the food you get– it is so affordable. The food is regular Chinese take-out, and they also have a sushi buffet which is included in the price. The sushi is a great addition. My husband loved the Thai chicken, I love their seafood choices, and my daughter at a ton of sushi and seaweed salad. Every time I come here I get the hot & sour soup– it is the best!

Asian Buffet is buffet all the time, unlike many other Chinese restaurants that only have a lunch buffet. I’m not much of a buffet person, but I do enjoy Asian Buffet because of the variety of foods to try. The items on the buffet are fairly standard American version Chinese food. The food is fresh. I have gone later in the evening and the owner/manager will come out of the kitchen to ask if there is anything specific I want and make it fresh if the buffet is getting low. You can also get Asian buffet to go– just fill up some take out boxes and pay by weight.
