Came here for breakfast for the first time and loved it. Had a breakfast item that was a whole wheat/berry type thick toast with mashed avocado and«basted» eggs. I LOVEDIT! Not stingy on the avocado at all and the eggs were cooked exactly as I requested(hard cooked). The service was efficient and friendly. The coffee was too strong for me, which is purely a matter of choice, however the only creamer you can choose from is processed cups of International Coffee brand on the table. Fresh cream or half and half would be a much better option particularly for a restaurant that seems to cater to a more health conscious clientele. Water is served ice cold in a glass carafe on your table — loved that! I will definitely be back and already know I’m going for the oatmeal next time — it looked delicious!

This place has a great selection of healthy foods for breakfast along with some great pancakes. We have breakfast here 2 – 3 times a month. I ordered the salmon eggs Benedict today. I was very disappointed! Normally I do not send food back but my husband insisted, My dish was ice cold! The waitress was polite enough to take them back and get a new order. By the time my new order came out which was luke warm at best; my family had already finished eating. So much for a nice family breakfast. Unfortunately, last time we ate here our food was cold. This makes twice in a row, it will be a while before we go back.

When I came in I thought Denny’s with how the place looked, but the pictures on Unilocal made it look really good, pictures of food looked good so I was excited to try this place out. I ordered the traditional breakfast. Eggs over hard, bacon potatoes and a biscuit. Not one of those items tasted great by any sort whatsoever. How do you screw up an egg and how do you make bacon soggy? the potato was very cold and the biscuit was plan plus the coffee was way too strong. It really tasted like something I would have at a Denny’s late at night when the cook was half awake and didn’t want to be there that’s what this breakfast taste like I’m very disappointed. Don’t think I plan on coming back, no I probably never come back. A lot of people like this place but that’s just my Opinion I like crunchy bacon, eggs with flavor, potatoes that are warm when they come out to me, coffee that is not overly strong. Tabasco sauce to put on my eggs not the cheap Mexican hot sauce that you chose to have. The water taste good though.

Generally like this place… Today not so much! Ordered smoked salmon benedict… Well my poached eggs basically rolled off the plate b/c they were basically hard boiled. The waitress wanted to help so she suggested a couple eggs over easy knowing it would take too long to poach more eggs. I appreciate the effort but in reality I’m going to roll my «poached» eggs off the place and recreate my own Benedict?!? I’m mean that’s unreasonable for a dish like this… Further more she took $ 1.00 of my ticket. Now that’s just insulting… Might as well have charged me full price! Waitress was sweet wasn’t her fault. Obviously something management needs to deal with. Sigh. Oh well.

First Watch is a great alternative to the greasy breakfast diners. They have a wide selection of entrees from omelettes to sandwiches and more. There is a large chalkboard that also features the various seasonal specials they offer. The wait staff always seems a bit green, but they still get the job done. The food is bland for the most part, as I tend to gravitate towards flavor. You definitely feel like you are eating something healthier because you don’t taste any grease. They still put cheese all over the bowls, but it must be fat free cheese or something. This most recent visit included the new year’s hash special. it was as expected. The presentation for all food is very pretty. I still go here even though I don’t love it, so there’s that.

One of the best breakfast places in Okc. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable about menu, we’ve never had bad service. Good is always super fresh.

Friendly, Fast, & Fabulous This place is the happening spot! I went here for Sunday breakfast– my boyfriend had been before & knew the place delivers on their breakfast. Man, was he right! As we approached the store we watched a few people fighting over parking spots, and I knew that I was in for a tasty morning treat that my taste buds would crave again! After parking we entered the restaurant and were greeted by two friendly and charismatic people Karen, & Tamara. There was a short wait, however it gave us a chance to enjoy a complimentary cup of their delicious & freshly brewed coffee. Once were were seated we were waited on by Demitrius, a quick, charming and very attentive waiter! Me & my date both chose the Tri-fecta with Blueberry Pancakes and it was so good! The blueberry spread that comes on the side makes their pancakes extra tasty! I had the house potatoes since I was craving some Po-ta-Toes and they didn’t disappoint. We ordered more coffee after having a sip of the coffee upon arrival and let’s just say –something is in that coffee! Something magical. We felt the experience was enjoyable, the staff was very sweet(even on the way out– I could hear them cracking jokes at the host stand), service was fast despite how busy they appeared, and the price for the scrumptious breakfast was on point. I’ll be back! :)

Wow. Just wow. Had the Bacado and tried the carrot cake pancake. I’m not a pancake person but this was OFFTHEHOOK! Def recommend if you are in OKC or just passing through.

I went here with a fellow Unilocaler, but I’m sort of on the fence with this place. The menu is super interesting, but I feel like the final product didn’t meet expectations. I’m a pretty decent cook, and I feel like what I can make at home is better. I was charmed by the super creative and original menu selections, even suggesting to my friend that we need to come back here with a group so we can see what all these creations look like, but when we actually got the food, the substance wasn’t there to back up the excitement of the menu. We ordered some Eggs Benedict like thing where eggs were cooked in the hole in two pieces of toast. It was pretty decent, but the side was more like garnish. Altogether, I didn’t feel it was that great for $ 10. Even for a light brunch, it felt like it wasn’t a complete plate. We also ordered two juices. The Kale Tonic was really good, but the orange-based one tasted really watered down. For $ 3.99 each, that’s pretty disappointing. I also ordered the Buttermilk Squash soup, which she liked, but I didn’t. It’s a cool place and I feel like I want to go here again, but I was more impressed with the menu than what I actually got. Definitely a decent place, but don’t feel like it’s quite four star.

I ventured to a new breakfast place promising a more compassionate approach to the old idea of a breakfast and lunch café. Think Jimmy’s egg with a hipster bent. I ordered the biscuits and Turkey Sausage gravy with no small helping of skepticism. I regretted my venture into the hipster breakfast haven. The biscuits were puffy and tasted of nothing but a slight rubbery texture. The turkey gravy was grainy and strange with a salty bite. The potatoes were served cold and devoid of much flavor. The caramelization was almost nonexistent and disappointingly rubbery in texture. The place is nice in décor with a recycled sheik and the staff friendly. Your Birkenstocks my fit in but don’t expect home style cooking. A definite no return rating from me despite the great staff and nicely appointed place. A requested return visit to First Watch saw me ordering a «Bubba’s Benny’s» This promised biscuits with gravy covered with sausage and 2 over easy eggs and a side of potatoes. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere laid back. The potatoes were barely cooked examples of the worst a potato could be. Lacking in taste and caramelization they disappointed. The biscuits were spongey and tasted of the baking powder used to make them. The sausage patty was thin with a mild flavor and had a floppy Nature. The gravy was a thin consistency with copious crumbles of a somewhat spicier sausage. The spice help to disguise the pallid lack of real flavor in the gravy. It is a shame the food here is so lacking in taste. Stay away if you have taste buds. The pallid food is apt to make them weep.

I’ve been to First Watch several times and love the concept and the food. The service is friendly but can be slow. Their check-in/check-out process is a little cumbersome for peak times and it can get a bit crowded. Those slight inconveniences aside, the food really is delicious! I love the carrot cake pancake and they have a variety of healthier options as well. I’ve tried all the fresh squeezed juices and they really do taste fresh. The coffee is unlimited and not watered down. Pro-tip: Join their e-club and you’ll get some pretty sweet offers! I got a free entrée for the week of my bday and occasionally get buy 1 get 1 offers.

When you want a tasty sit down breakfast option, but are not thinking chain and greasy Ihop or trendy brunch place, first watch is the place to go. They make really good food with fresh ingredients. Not only is the food good, the owners and staff are all extremely welcoming and nice. It is just a fun place to come and enjoy a comfortable and quality breakfast. Another reason I like this place is that the food they serve can be pretty healthy if you want it to be. And not the healthy some restaurants say meaning a fruit side instead of potatoes, though you can do that. They have healthy entrees and recipes that taste good. Point is, want a quality and reasonably priced breakfast option, come here.

Good breakfast. It’s really nothing overly spectacular but was a good solid way to start my day. Only two stars though because the service was incredibly slow. We came early and we’re the only ones here. It still took over 30 minutes to get our food.

I really like this place for breakfast… I wish the prices where as light as the low calorie menu, though. The fresh carrot/orange juice is a must. It has a hint of ginger and it is very refreshing! Waiters are very nice and that makes your breakfast much more enjoyable

I love breakfast… it is my favorite meal of the day. I even love it for lunch and dinner. First Watch was a Saturday selection as we were kinda burned out on our usual breakfast haunts. Did a bit of Unilocal stalking and saw this phrase that had me drooling… «carrot cake pancakes». Off we went, visions of carrot cake goodness dancing in my head. The location of First Watch is in what used to be… a long time ago a Souper! Salad! Man am I dating myself. Anyway, it’s over by Quail Springs, jammed in between GameStop and Dress Barn. Look for the line of brunchers out the door… the long line. We arrived at about 10 am, and waited for 20 min. Not bad. Plus, they have the menu posted to where you can see it while waiting outside and coffee in little foam cups. The inside is up scale dinner, orange, yellow and green colors. Seating is table and booth. And the place was packed, but you still have room to move. Our waitress was darling and bubbly. We started with coffee and water. Big plus, they give you a small caraft of coffee at your table. Fully caffeinated and ready to eat we ordered. Bacado omelet: Bacon, avocado and Monterey Jack. Topped with sour cream and served with a side of housemade salsa. David really enjoyed this. He said it was not too much avocado and the bacon was perfect. Swissroom with egg whites: Ham, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms and onions with fresh herbs and Swiss. Love the crimini mushrooms. Glad they could sub the eggs with white and no extra charge. Hearty and good. Carrot cake pancake. Amazing. There are actual pieces of carrot and pecans in this. The pecans are sugared and transform in this batter when they are on the griddle. Crunchy, candied goodness. Not too sweet, and oh so good with syrup. Plus, with the carrots is practically a serving of vegetables. The service was great and the food filling. The price was just right, all the above for $ 28.00 and change. This is a nice healthier breakfast, that still keeps you going for the day ahead.

Yummy. We keep coming back here over and over for breakfast and brunch. Consistently good food, some seasonal selections on the menu, fresh ingredients. Love the fresh squeezed orange juice and their coffee. Last time I went I also tried the organic tea selections. The only thing I really don’t like is the foyer and entryway check-in/cashier desk they have in the front. That may seem like a weird thing to point out but when you are standing there for 20 minutes waiting for a table you notice. There is always a big line on weekends(that they seat expediently) but there are also people trying to pay their bill and get out in the same place at this big awkward desk. Not room for the people paying their check and exiting and the people waiting to be seated /checking in with the hostess. They need to re-think this area.

I’m updating my review because we come here so much, literally every Saturday morning at 9am my family and I can be seen at First Watch. Granted we are a larger group and there are usually 5 – 7 of us, with a toddler and a baby… I am very disappointed in their«first on the list» gets the«first» table available. I can understand this if you can foresee another larger table opening soon, but to have a list of only 3 parties; and they all entered the restaurant within 1 minute of each other. Why would you seat a party of 2 people at a booth that will seat 6 people? Especially when you have more tables/booths in the restaurant that would accommodate a smaller group over a larger one? So therefore we waited not 20 minutes but 40 minutes with 2 very small children; while another larger table opened up and watched not only the group just ahead of us with 2 people get a booth that would easily fit all of us; but also we saw 2 groups behind us with 3 and 4 people get seated at the smaller tables. You need to re-think the way you seat your parties, especially if they arrive all within 1 – 3 minutes of each other! Because you do write the time down as well. It’s not rocket science! Don’t lose good customers because they can’t get seated when they bring a party of 5 or more!

I love First Watch. I was first introduced to FW while living in Kansas City. I was thrilled when they made it to OKC. If you like spicy, try the Killer Cajun omelette. Their crunch berry pancakes are so very good. My favorite is the crunch berry banana. This trip was an off day. The onions were very chewy, the the outer skin had been left on, and the blueberries in the pancake were a bit leathery. I love this place and will give it another try for sure.
