Mimi’s Cafe

This was not the usual quality meal that I have come to expect from Mimi’s. I don’t know if it’s just poor management or a bad wait staff, but the service was definitely off par. The food was cold, and part of our order was messed up. You have to wonder when the surrounding restaurants have a 30 plus minute wait to get a table and you can just walk in to Mimi’s. Not a good sign. Let’s hope that they can bounce back on track.

We waited an hour when they said the wait would be 15 minutes. They were seating people that came in after our party. When we asked they gave us attitude! We left. If the hostesses have poor service and attitude then I’m sure the waiters do too.

We’d stayed at the La Quinta property behind this restaurant. After our first breakfast we were hooked. The salmon Benedict, steak and eggs, salmon omelet, peaches and cream griddlecakes and muffin varieties are all wonderful! We ate breakfast here four days straight! We also enjoyed lunch and dinner to round out the experience.
But it wasn’t just the excellent food that earned the five stars – the staff was equally impressive! The waiter and waitresses were very friendly and helpful, and the manager even took time out of his day to help us locate another business in the area.
I give this establishment my highest rating. I will definitely give them my patronage when I find myself in OKC again.

We called ahead for a party of 25, but they couldn’t handle us. Bad management! Very incompetent. I don’t blame the server because he obviously had more tables than he could manage.

One of the worst dining experiences I have had. Plain dry overcooked chicken. Inattentive staff. Wrong food prepared.

I have always enjoyed Mimis food, they have a nice menu with options for everyone. Now they have a feature board with new items each month. Service is wonderful they must really enjoy working there. I highly recommend the key French silk pie and triple berry mimosa. Weekends are very busy so I recommend making a reservation.

Mimi’s Café is somehow still open in North OKC.
The food tastes fine and isn’t cooked poorly. But every time I leave here, I ask myself the same thing: didn’t we have awful service the last time?
No matter the time of day, how slow they are, there is no sense of urgency with this staff.
This visit was at 8:05 PM. There were three other tables sat prior to our arrival. The parking lot was so empty, I thought they were closed when I pulled in.
Our server was nice. She just wasn’t great at her job. There was a new manager there this evening, and she really tried hard. I have to give her some credit. My friend ordered a drink based on her recommendation, so she got that part right.
Yes, for those not in the know, Mimi’s Café has a bar! They never really tried to up sell it before, so that was a nice change.
After our appetizer and drink order, our server was overwhelmed with her other one table whose food was taking awhile.
Twenty four minutes after we had been there, she finally came back to take our actual dinner order. She wasn’t familiar with what were apparently very brand new items that were written on the chalk board, nor could she pronounce the croque monsieur.
When our food came out, it wasn’t nearly as pretty as one would hope, but like I said, it tasted alright.
There was also a «Busser» who was wearing a graphic t-​shirt & jeans with her headphones in wiping tables. I was a bit confused as I had no inkling that she worked there.
Should you go to Mimi’s? Sure. But be ready for a long meal. The breads are always great!

I grew on going to Mimi’s Café on weekends with my parents, so I have a little bit of nostalgia in favor of the establishment.
I enjoy the interesting takes on common items. The menu is diverse, creative, and they often have some sort of drink special going on. The food is what you’d expect with the price range.
Ambiance is above average for a middle-​of-​the-​line restaurant and the place feels cozy, if a bit empty.

Use to have a Mimi’s Café in Naperville IL that we would eat at on some weekends so I was happy to see a Mimi’s right next to our hotel in Oklahoma City.
Food was very good and service was excellent. If you are in that area and looking for a good place to eat then this is the place to go.

First time I’ve visited this location since living in northern OKC the past 10 years. Restaurant is located as a stand alone facility so it has plenty of parking spaces. It is located among a number of hotels within walking distance. We stopped in for breakfast. We didn’t have any wait time and the host was friendly. We ordered the Santa Fe omelet and the Egg white omelet with veggies. All plates came with a choice of toast or various English muffins. Both plates had a great presentation and the food was awesome. Our waitress was Nadia and she was very pleasant who was very knowledgeable of the menus. I would recommend this restaurant.

It’s ok, the staff was professional and timely.

We ordered the spinach dip for the table, it was good.
The others ordered a burger and French dip both with fries, both had zero complaints.
My lunch was unfortunately not what I ordered… I asked to have the herb ½ chicken, what I was given was a ½ of chicken with out herbs or flavor –bummer–

Excellent burger hut used to be called the French quarter now it’s just A burger on Parmesan grilled sourdough bread applewood bacon lettuce thousand Island dressing it was awesome. My burger was thick juicy medium rare perfectly cooked. I ordered the French onion soup instead of french fries or fruit, soup was excellent. My granddaughter ordered the turkey club with french fries and a cup of French onion soup. What she loved with the turkey was thick sliced and tender, applewood bacon, lettuce tomatoes. The portions were large, so we both had leftovers to take home. We both enjoyed the bread basket that had complementary French mimi rolls and mini carrot cake. Service was excellent friendly fast.

I wanted to like this place a lot. However for the money I’d rather have gone to I-​Hop.
The muffins were the highlight of the meal. That I did enjoy. I got the carrot and raisin one.
The veggie omelette I had was average. Not worth writing home about.
The service on this day was lacking. Not sure why.
I think with this place you’re paying for the décor. Nice looking but you can get a better meal elsewhere.

The quality has really gone down hill. Portions are small, bread doesn’t come out anymore unless you ask. Gluten free menu is pitiful.

New Years morning, and we were told 15 — 20 minute wait. 30 minutes later the host said that he doesn’t actually know how long the wait will be because management (who never came out to address the now filled foyer) told him to seat people, then stop seating people. So new folks coming in are still told a 15 — 20 minute wait.

This is our third time to eat here. The food is wonderful. The chicken creeps has been my favorite so far. My husband ordered half a rosemary chicken this time, it was so good. He cleaned his plate.

Very disappointed in the service provided today. Suggested this for breakfast for my friend and I to meet, she ordered a Bloody Mary which didn’t come out until order came out, waitress did not check on us to top it off they were not even busy now I know why.

Good selection at breakfast. Service normally is good. Coffee is hot and hi quality. Little more expensive than some places， but worth it if you want something different
Service varies, one of the best servers we ever had this morning (Tracie on 5−24−15) one of the worst several weeks ago.

I’ve been here multiple times but never have I been here for dinner. I loooove their breakfast and lunch. I came here last night with family from out of town and it was among the worst service I’ve ever had. Like, what happened Mimi’s??? I never have problems in the daytime.. But at night we were seated in the back and the windows and seats were all dirty and sticky.
Then we kept having to ask for things that should have already happened.. Such as asking for our salads before our main meal when we realized we weren’t getting them. Or silverware for the food we did recieve. or crayons and a kids menu for the kid.
We got our food and it was pretty good which is why I’m not giving one star. Although one item we ordered never came. The waitress behind us kept talking loudly and in grosse detail to other customers about her medical and drug problems she had or used to have. It didn’t seem the time or place to bring either of those things up.
Overall it just seemed like no one cared about our service. Our waiter had his baby on his hip at the register, clearly preoccupied. There were plates and dishes stacked up on our table leaving little room and multiple waiters & bussers just lackadaisically hanging around. We ordered desert and when 15 mins had passed without any signs we would be getting it, we got up and paid to leave. No wonder they had open parking on a Saturday night…

Went for brunch/​breakfast. Service very allow. My dining partner was brought a muffin nearly 10 minutes before her meal and I had nothing. My omelet came out and it wasn’t what I ordered. Totally different. Ate it anyway and it was excellent. However my toast wasn’t delivered to the table until I was half way through my meal and my coffee wasn’t refilled until it had to practically beg.
All in all food was good but disappointed in the service.
