Carefully curated mid century modern and retro items collection. Absolutely fantastic location in the Plaza District. It really has a little bit of everything; furniture down to small items. I like that the store is clean and well organized. I always find something(s) I just can’t live without(I don’t need it, but I want it)! The prices are average or a little below average. I love browsing through the store, but I also like checking their Etsy store for finds. Considering the store has been around for a few years now, they are doing something right!

Fun shop in the heart of the newly rejuvenated Plaza District. We love visiting Retrokc for all kinds of Mid-Century Modern collectibles — from Herman Miller to colorful kitsch. Coming to Oklahoma City? Don’t miss this shopping stop!

My gal pal and I stumbled across this place during the Plaza’s monthly gathering. It’s so awesome to see such a retro establishment with great finds in Oklahoma City! The staff is nice and there is so much history to discover with every little teacup and furnishing.

I went to Retrokc a little over a year ago and it is by far one of the best Mid Century Modern stores I’ve been to. I travel all over the States for work and have been to stores in some of the larger cities like New York, Las Angeles, Chicago and even Palm Springs and this place by far exceeds those cities. Not only in the quality but in price. The owner is very cool as well, he isn’t one of those store owners that just assumes you don’t know what you are looking at. You know the owners who proceed to give a history lesson about every piece in the store. He was also really helpful about recommending some cool places to eat and other places to shop. I can’t want to go back with more money and bring some cool pieces back home.

I LOVE this place! If you are in need of fantastic mid-century kitchen items … such as dishes, pitchers, salt and pepper shakers or coasters this is the place to go! You will not find a better selection of these items all in one place! They have great furniture too although the selection is limited due to the amount of space they have in the store. But he still has some gems in there! So if you are looking for just the right chair or side table/coffee table this would be a great resource as well. The first item I ever bought here were some amazing plastic record holder bookends! I have never found something more amazing in my life. My only complaint was that they only had one pair. I need about 5 – 7 more! All-in-all, this is one a my favorite places in OKC. And I love to pop in from time to time just to see what is new and what I might not be able to love without. You are sure to find something wonderful!

RetrOKC is a wonderful little store in the Plaza that makes me feel like I am stepping into an issue of Atomic Ranch(which they sell at the store, BTW!). Last year, I bought a reasonably priced formica top coffee table that I love, love, love — it looks so nice in my living room. Definitely keep an eye on the goods through Facebook and Instagram as so many treasures appear there. There’s usually great selections of lamps, dishes, knick knacks as well as furniture… and if nothing catches your eye on one visit, come back in a few weeks and who knows what will be there next! This is a fantastic store for admirers of mid-century design.

I’ve been a «fan» of RetrOKC on facebook for a while, and finally made it down to see the merchandise in person! It is a store where everything is so unique, you HAVE to check it out, look at it front every angle, and run your fingers across it(I’m one of those shoppers that has to touch the item to really get a feel for it, no pun intended). I feel like all the pieces of furniture would be instant conversations starters in anyone’s house. I especially fell in love with all the kitchenware, as vintage pyrex is my absolute weakness. RetrOKC just became one of my «go-to» furniture places, and another place I have to stop at when I’m in the Plaza District!

I hung out with Mike for a while yesterday, learning more about his great little shop in the Plaza district. I love that this is never the same store twice, because Mike is out searching for pieces almost as many hours per week as the store is open. Specializing in mid-century furniture and kitchenware, you’ll also find lots of cool ashtrays, paintings, lamps, and home décor items. He also finds a lot of classic stereo cabinet, which can still be used. We ended up purchasing two side tables. They were in great shape, and have a lot more character than anything we would have found down on furniture row. We also got a cool old pull-down, schoolhouse-style map of South America. Since Mr K lived in Paraguay and I lived in Brasil, I think that’s a cool addition to the study. I’m a fan. I’m sure this is the first of many things I’ll be purchasing from Mike over the years. He posts photos to their facebook page as he makes new finds, and he will also offer to stay on the lookout for something he knows you’re looking for. I can’t wait to see what he finds next! Note: If you’re there during business hours and the shop is not open for some reason, please call the number on the sign. He may be at an estate sale or at a private in-home appointment, but if you’re there and he’s not, just give him a call and he’ll be back. He really does work hard to be there during regular hours. If he’s not, it’s a fluke.

I love to pop into this wonderfully curated mid-century modern inspired vintage shop. If you want to start living like Don Draper, you best stop into Retrokc first. I’ve been looking for the perfect side tables to complete my living room and I’m confident they will show up in the store soon, just have to make sure I get down there fast enough. The owner post many of the more awesome finds on the Facebook page, so it’s good to keep and eye out and move quickly if something strikes your fancy.
