The wings are good, the beer is fairly cheap, the staff is friendly. Overall, I would recommend this place.

This was our second time here. We came when they first opened and they were super busy! But last night, we were literally the only customers in the entire restaurant until about 10 minutes before we left. However, food was hot and delivered quickly (but not so quickly that it seemed microwaved). Their fries are bland and both times have seemed a little under done. Their chicken is good though. It’s nice to get something like plain chicken tenders and have moist, juicy chicken. The breading isn’t super thick, so the flavor of the chicken really comes through. Our server was great… attentive but not overly. The prices are very reasonable.
Overall: decent but nothing is overly exceptional!

Great wings ! The fried pickles were super. We will go back and try some of the other enticing sandwiches. Oh yeah beer was really cold…

Was excited to stop by but sadly disappointed. No bone in wings, oysters were fishy, cheesesteak was dry and sent my mac n cheese back because it was cold. The server took it and never brought me another. It just went away. Will not come back anytime soon.

The one star I’ve given is for the wings. I went here at 1pm on a Wednesday for wingday with my husband. There were only 3 other tables and now I know why. The waitress was new, she was nice, but didn’t seem to know much about the menu. We ordered wings and a philly. It took over 40mins to get our food. Unacceptable for people who have hour lunch breaks. Then we needed a discount applied for my husband’s work and it took another 10 mins for the one person who knew how to do it to apply (I guess he’s the manager).
The food — wings were great. Philly was ok.
It’s sad that this place even shares the same name as the one in Lawrence. They really need to get their stuff together to be more efficient. Don’t come here unless you like disappointment or order your wings for carryout (and wait 45mins before you leave!)

Food is as good as any other bar food. Unilocal reviews complaining about bar food always make me chuckle when people expect 5 star cuisine.
Wings are what they’re known for. I recommend sticking to those and definitely get the fried pickles! Beer selection is good. Service could be better but it hasn’t been open even a year yet so I think they’re still working out the kinks.

Took my family here on the weekend. I eat out
about 5 nights a week because I travel alot. This is the worst service I have seen in a long long time. I received my first beer after 15 minutes of waiting and we were just about to leave when it arrived. At this point we were still waiting for two waters, the other two were delivered fairly quickly. Food doesn’t even rank mediocre in my opinion. The only reason I didn’t give this place 1 star is because they were very busy with several large groups. That said, they obviously need more help. The one bartender was literally running to serve drinks. Some waitresses must not have been of age. Wish I would have read reviews on Unilocal before going there. Will not return.

First time and will be the last. When we got there; there was only one other table with people. Ordered an appetizer of fried pickles; well that is what they were just plain fried pickles nothing special other than extra greasy. Service was incredibly slow (remember we were the second table here so not busy) The wings were even extra greasy. Won’t be back here

Not sure why this place gets such poor reviews. My husband and I have been there on several occasions and think the food is great. We have had their wings, Cajun chicken sandwich, onion rings and the fish and chips, all were really good. The service has been hit or miss at times. Once we visited and they were a bit over attentive another time we went and I had to go to the bar to find out server. I think that is getting better. Give this place a shot.

Food was mediocre at best, service was horrible, and doesn’t compare to the Jeffersons in Lawrence. Anyways we won’t be going back, their loss!

Unfortunately, nothing too amazing about this joint. I had high expectations, as I really enjoy the one in Lawrence. I did not receive my water, and when I was finally able to track down the waiter, it was right about the time when checks were being passed around. I ordered the fried pickles, and with how salty they were, I would have much preferred to have had my water while munching. My fried pickles came on a bed of thick oil, they didn’t bother to let them drain after being fried. Ughk.

Was so excited to have a new place to eat close to home. Wanted to encourage new business to our area. Hubby and I went for a lunch on a Saturday. Ordered a drink, appetizer and meal. My drink was not anything that I would reorder, and he had a beer. Our food? Gee, it was awful. The bread on his sandwich crumbled like stale bread. My boneless wings? I ate 1… He ate 1… and we could not force another down. Waitress asked if we wanted a to go box. We explained that no, we didn’t care for the food. She was nice, but only suggested other items to try on the next visit. Sorry, there will be no next visit. My nuggets tasted like ground parts mashed together and formed into a patty. Which was then smothered in a sauce. I had to send my fries back since they came out cold… and I don’t mean cool.
I hate giving bad reviews, but simply cannot say anything nice, except it was close to home.
So sorry it won’t be our new hangout.

This was my first time in — went with family. Ordered fried pickles (greasy), oysters Rockefeller (luke warm). Informed the waiter and he was very nice about it. None of the fried food was seasoned. The grilled shrimp Po Boy was bland and a total of six tiny shrimp on a $ 7 sandwich. The BLT sandwich was a salad on bread with one slice of tomato. The sole redeeming food item was a double bacon cheeseburger. We will not be going back except for beer and a game — not worth the food bill.

I guess I jumped the gun on that one because I went back and the fried pickles were dripping with grease and the chicken very bland.

Great wings, friendly staff, good beer selection.
Family/​sports bar atmosphere is great for watching a game or just going out to eat with friends and family. I have never had any issues with the quality of food or service.
I will definitely be coming back soon.

Ate here for the first time since I love the one in Lawrence. I wish I could have given it more stars I was expecting so much more. first off let me start by saying the wait staff was amazing and super nice and attentive!
Food:don’t even come for food lets just put it that way, I ordered 10 wings to start with (medium), a doz. raw oysters, husband got the fried shrimp basket and kids shared a chicken strip kids meal… the wings were cold, well not cold cold, warm but not hot like how they usually are. but the flavor was good, not spicy at all though. My oysters sucked 2 out of 12 were rotten and they seemed to be previously shucked and frozen I don’t know it didn’t taste fresh at all… I didn’t complain though, I just won’t ever order again… ever! the chicken strips were good, and they were so nice, gave both my kids ice cream sandwiches and 2 drinks even though I only ordered one kids meal because my kids are toddlers and they don’t eat like ever. and they didn’t charge us for that so we tipped our waitress well.
I’m sad. I’m not sure if I’ll come back to this location, hope I don’t die tomorrow due to rotten oysters… k thanks bye

Everything looked and tasted prepackaged; the salsa served with the Chips & Salsa is Pace. It was as if we had ordered our meal from Sisco. I’m not excited about returning, especially with Johnny’s just one strip mall over.

Jefferson’s Olathe is officially open for business. They have expanded their menu (now offering more than just Buffalo wings– Thai, garlic, etc…).
I’ve been three times since Friday. The restaurant is nice, clean and open. There are plenty of televisions to watch sports. The service gets a little better each time, but that is to be expected with any new location.
I’ll definitely be a regular!
