I really like this location for Mi Ranchito. Service has always been friendly and fast, just like the location on 95th. Food prices are reasonable, and the food is consistently good. One of the better locations for this restaurant, in my opinion!

Dine in visits have been good but beware and stay away if thinking about carry-out. I have had several to-go orders that when arriving home what I ordered was not present. Also, their servings appear to be smaller for carry-out and seriously when providing a bag of chips and salsa why do they only fill their salsa cups up half way. At least, provide 3 – 4 cups so I have enough for my chips and to add to my food. Each time I call with a complaint, the managers seem sensitive and offer a refund and once offered gift certificates but how does that guarantee excellent customer service for future carry-out visits? I will continue to use Jose Peppers for carryout as I have never had any issues yet.

Had a wonderful dinner with our family in Kansas City tonight, but there is one dish that I must encourage you to try… OMG… Chuletas de Puerco — Two 7oz Cowboy-cut succulent pork chops grilled and topped with chorizo, shrimp, poblano peppers, grilled onions, mushrooms, pico de gallo and avocados, served with charro beans, rice and fresh flour or corn tortillas. This dish is unlike anything I’ve ever had at a Mexican restaurant, but oh so good!!! I cut the grilled and seasoned to perfection chops up into strips and made pork chop fajitas and then shared the other half with my hubby. He had his own plate, but this was just too good to pass up! It’s huge, it’s delicious, you gotta have it! It will definitely be on the list of foods for our next visit to KC. Can’t wait! YUMMMMMM…

Excellent chips and salsa. The rest of the food is just okay, and has a tendency to upset my stomach. I like the traditional chimichanga. Service is inconsistent, but generally good.

I wish I could remember my waitress’s name, I’ve had her both times I’ve been here, and she’s been fabulous!!! The food is good, the meals were excellent, and I had so much I got two delicious meals for the price of one!!! The margaritas are HUGE, strong, and delicious! Both the house, and skinny leave you craving more! Parking is a little tricky, at least the first time. They have parking in the front(119th facing) and a door, and a large parking lot in the back, and another door and little bar! The drink specials are fantastic, and there always seems to be a deal on something delicious! Can I go back tomorrow?

I have been quite a few times with co-workers for lunch, my co-workers would definitely give this a 4 or 5 star review as they really love the food, the cream cheese chicken enchiladas are always a hit. They call themselves a Mexican restaurant, but I feel it is more Tex-Mex(especially coming from LA/Southern California area and having been SOTB many, many times). The service can be a bit slow as they get really busy most days at lunch, but the food is consistent, and the prices are decent. I do not really care for the vegetarian dishes as they have broccoli and mushrooms in them, of which I am not a fan of in Mexican/Tex-Mex food, so I usually get the cheese and onion enchiladas, and or course, they do not have them on the lunch menu, so the dinner plate is way too much food, but oh well. The espinaca cheese dip is REALLY good, I would go just for that and drinks. The other food is consistent and good, though it all has a bit too much sauce/cheese, but most Mexican food does. I always request the ‘hotter’ sauce as the regular sauce does not have much heat. I might try the Chile Rellenos the next time I go(which is tomorrow), if I do I will update my review.

I have loved Mi Ranchitos since the first time I tried it. They have the best tacos in all of KC! The only thing disappointing is there are always a lot of folks waiting for a table because it is so well-loved. We try to go at odd times so we don’t have to wait long.

This place was awesome. We lived in California for a few years and this mexican restaurant had masa(something i only found in California), so delicious. Since it was our first time they gave us free espinaca, so good! Service was very good as well.

My first time coming here and I was so impressed and pleased with the staff. My carnitas came out dried but Juan the manager is such a great manager that he not only brought out my carnitas plate fresh and juicy but also asked to bring out another dish for me to try. On top of that he didn’t charge me for my first dish or second. He handled the whole thing great! I will definitely be coming back again. Such a great staff!!! Thank you Juan for such a pleasant visit.

Best Mexican food in KC! Well, «authentic Tex Mex» anyway. Never disappoints and the service has always been good. I love the Super Burrito covered in espinaca! I was surprised when I got the blackened tilapia dish there and it was EXCELLENT it came with fresh steamed veggies and a lemon butter sauce –rich, but not overdone. Every time I go to a different Mexi place I always wish we just made the trip over state line to Mi Ranchito :) ~GREAT drinks too!

Everything I’ve had is really good here, but I’d recommend the fried tacos and taco salad especially. They put a lot of seasoning into their meat and that’s definitely a good thing. Always has really good service. Sometimes they seat you in a way that doesn’t make sense(e.g. the entire back section by the patio door was open, but said only open seating was patio… in summer heat), but there’s not usually too long of a weight. They have good weekly drink specials as well.

Ask for the hot salsa with your chips!!! It’s perfectly spiced and goes great with their tacos. Taco Tuesdays include $ 2 hard or soft shell tacos – you can choose between chicken or beef. Service has always been superb, all of the wait staff seem very friendly. They also pour decently strong drinks – I wish they had more drink specials!

The restaurant was a little crowded due to the seating. The gluten free quesadilla was fantastic. I also had the fajita. The fajita was not the best I ever had but it was solid. The server was very helpful and friendly. The chips were at our table before we even sat down. The server also replaced our chips when we ran out without us ever asking which was nice. Each person got their own salsa dish which I have never seen before. Overall, I was very satisfied with this establishment

The best peach frozen Marg I’ve had in a while! Great service. Super fast and good for the price. Definitely somewhere to check out if you want a quick but satisfying bite to eat! And need a marg from a long day at work! :)

My boyfriend has been raving about this place and their espinaca as long as I’ve known him(over a year) so I had high expectations! When we traveled from Pittsburgh to Kansas for a wedding, we made a special stop here. Looks like your typical Mexican restaurant. The highlight for me was the dips. We had the espinaca, guacamole, salsa and avocado sauce. All so delicious. I don’t think there was conversation for a solid 10 minutes as we shoved our mouths full of light, crispy chips topped high with tasty dips. I had the chicken deep fried tacos, and they were just okay. They could have used a little more flavor which I created by topping them with the salsa and avocado sauce which has a refreshing tart lime taste. My boyfriend and his dad went for the cream cheese enchiladas which is apparently their favorite item and pretty much all they order. Tasty but still outshined by the dips according to my taste buds. Service started out great but really trailed off near the end when some large and loud groups came in. We had to flag down another waiter for the bill and to-go containers because two of us were in a rush for the airport. Overall, met my expectations. Would go back and try another item from their extensive menu.

Pros: good food and great service Cons: cramped and loud, booths are a tight squeeze, usually a wait on weekends We like eating here because the food is very tasty and the service is usually friendly and upbeat. It seems like everyone working here is on top of their game. I haven’t had anything here that I didn’t like and we haven’t had a bad experience. The Burrito Feliz and combo plate #6 are two of my favorites. To be clear, this is what I call«Americanized» Mexican food. Lots of cheese slathered on top of starchy burritos or enchiladas with a side of beans and rice. Other than the Chile Relleno, you’re not going to find a vegetable anywhere. My minor gripes are that it’s popular, so there is always a wait on the weekends. It’s also a very tightly packed space, so some of the booths are a tight squeeze. It’s also loud, so not a place to have a relaxing conversation with someone.

I’m going to update my previous review because I think they must have been having a bad night on my last visit. More recently, the overall impression has been a little better — food was solidly good, and the place seems a little less dirty & chaotic. Still a deafening noise level due to the overcrowded layout of the tables. They could really do with a couple fewer tables crammed into the middle, but they seem to fill them up regularly, so I guess they feel like they need the seats. I had a pretty tasty chimi last time, nicely fried without being too greasy. Ask for the hot salsa, it’s way better than the mild that they put on the table by default.(I mix the two together for a nice medium-heat taste) There’s usually some good nightly specials, and the margaritas are still tasty… Not my very favorite Mexican in the area, but a nice choice to have in the neighborhood.

I wasn’t really a fan. My food was drenched in some kind of inauthentic cheese which was overpowering for the dish. This is a local chain, not a national chain, but the food wasn’t any better than a Chevys. The positives were a large size menu and friendly service.

I LOVEMIRANCHITO. Drinks: The Margaritas are amazing. Ask for a strawberry mango with sugar on the rim. Appetizers: The espinaca dip is a MUSTHAVE. It is insanely delicious. Entrée: I always get the cream cheese chicken enchiladas with no beans and extra rice! The combination of flavors is to die for. This is a MUSTVISIT place for anyone in the Kansas City area.

Always love the food at Mi Ranchito but tonight we got charged 8.75 for a chicken breast for my picky eater… no sides. Seemed excessive and manager refused to change the price. May have to make K Macho our go to for Mexican.
