I give them three stars because the service was fine, but the chicken in my salad lacked flavor, the salad was ok and my husbands burger wasn’t impressive either!

Never ever had a bad meal here, burgers, dogs, fries and my favorite cobb salad are always consistantly excellent, too bad my town, old lyme, doesn’t have good eats like jack rabbits!

I absolutely LOVE Jack Rabbits! I’m a local and a «pescatarian» and this is the best spot! You can get vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, or carnivore pub cuisine and it’s all delicious. If you gave up red meat and wish you could still have a juicy burger, love different things or just want some awesome tuna give their tuna burgers a try — they are out of this world. Their meatless hot dogs are amazing. Fries are outstanding. Pretty much everything I have ordered at Jack Rabbit’s has been fantastic. Friend’s have tried their wings and have been pleased as well(at Rabbit Hole). The options are endless too — get your burgers or dogs a slew of different ways and they have lobster dogs too! Give this place a try I highly recommend it.

I have been to the«non-bar» side of Jack Rabbit’s three times. I have gone here to get a great burger, but avoid the«language» next door. I stopped going next door a few months ago, and will now not be returning here either after our recent visit where every aspect of our order was WRONG. This place needs more than one waitress and needs to train those waitresses a lot more. This place used to be truly great on both sides. Recently, not so much.

Terrible service due to one poor girl working alone. Standing room only and very busy. Almost done with sliders and still no fries. Cook doesn’t seem to have it together. I wouldn’t rush back. Very disappointing after reading the good reviews.

A fun place to have a Old Saybrook frankfurter. A cheap and cheerful snack if you are in the area. Don’t expect anything fancy. You stand up and eat at the counters with lots of others. Try the recession special…2 hotdogs and drink for $ 4.99. The Jack Rabbits juice was delicious

Amazing boneless wings and burgers. A little pricey for what you get but consistently good.

Was looking for a quick lunch with my father in law and decided to try Jack Rabbits. Great selection of dogs and burgers. The«Chicago«was spicy and fresh. The«Atlantic city» was everything father in law was looking for. The onion rings were good also. Look forward to trying more.

Good food and friendly service. Burgers cooked exactly as ordered. The construction of all food was great. It’s nice to be able to eat food without it falling to pieces. Onion rings hot and interesting ‘French onion’ dipping sauce. Coffee shake had lots of ice cream in it.

Went here on a Friday night with my son. Only one waitress working the tables and the counter and it was very busy. She was non stop but could not keep up. Burgers are good but small for the price. Greek salad is my favorite– try it! The fries are good but not great think they changed the fries since it first opened. My son loves the milkshakes.

Good Burger… proportionate roll to burger size, but the roll was kind of lame. The fries were good, but the sweet potato fries had a balsamic paste texture that wasn’t appreciated by my sweet potato connoisseur..

Great«New England» dog. Fries nice and crispy… great. The inside is crappy but the food great. A hole in the wall worth a visit.

LOVE this place. Great vegetarian hot dogs and cheese fries. My favorite is the Adam Bomb. The cheese fries are with REAL cheese not the goopy nacho bright orange stuff. They have house made sarsaparilla, ask for a taste! They can also make any milkshake you want. Try this place out, you won’t regret it.

Was duped into thinking Knuckleheads or Prime had best burgers. until now. Jack Rabbits meat, burgers, selection, freshness, wings, fries. Everything was awesome. Place inside is Arnolds from Happy Days in lime gree. You want pampered wait staff, busboys and turnaround, don’t go. If you want a a truly unique burger or gourmet dog with wings that were equally impressive, grab a soda or egg cream, spend some time with your family, reminisce about old days and just be happy that when it does come out, it’s worth every minute of the wait while they handmade everything on you plate to order.

Jack, of Jack’s Steak House fame, has opened his third beef-centric restaurant in the old Savory location. A spot-on burger and shake shack, with a full menu of innovative sliders: me, I like the Plain and Simple, but caramelized onion, bacon and American cheese with magic sauce was yummy, too. Or skip the sliders and have a regular sized burger, scary spicy wings, decent fries, and a full list of Dragon Dogs,(borrowed from his famed hot dog stand on Saybrook Point). If you must have a beer with your burger, grab a stool next door at the Main Street Tavern and they’ll serve your order through a hole cut in the wall. 254 Main Street 860.510.0048

Good burgers and fries — done to order, which is not to be discounted today haha. I’ve had too many«rare» burgers that have no pink at all let alone the done-ness(or not-done-ness?) that I like. We ordered 2 burgers, a Cowboy Burger with beans, onion, and avacado and a Boston Burger that had mushrooms, bacon, American cheese, and«magic sauce». I was trying(albeit unsuccessfully) to keep it on the lighter side of the calorie scale with a Buffalo turkey hot dog — because I didn’t realize I could get a turkey burger until too late. The onion rings were of the frozen variety, which is kind of a shame as fresh battered ones would have really gone well with the motif. They were serviceable but nothing about which you’d write home, the same for the fries. The burgers were the standout though, good flavor and(as I’ve mentioned) cooked correctly. Service was quick and pleasant as well. I’d definitely go back, with a better understanding of the menu.

Really terrific place for burgers of all kinds but I had a wonderful Greek salad with grilled chicken that was delicious. They served it in a vertical arranged presentation with warm chicken on top. Perfectly seasoned, just the right amount of feta and olives and a very unique style. I will return try one of their buffalo burgers.

Decided to revisit this place while we’re on the South Beach diet ’cause I remembered that they offer burgers on salads. I had the veggie burger on a garden salad and my husband had the turkey burger on a garden salad. Both were delicious and moist… my veggie burger did not look like the typical frozen patty that’s been slapped on a grill, it was a tasty green patty with tons of different veggies and beans, really good! Our son had two sliders and fries… everyone was totally happy. One thing… they really need to update their menu online. Everything I originally tried to order seemed to be part of the«Storrs» location menu which has closed down. BTW, I have noticed other reviews for this restaurant that are intended for the Rabbit Hole which is the tavern located next door. I’m assuming this restaurant cooks the food for the tavern next door. I guess it’s easy to confuse the two.

Finally made it in when they were open. Had a vegan reuben dog. Yah that sounds weird. But. it was SO good. perfect buns, decent non meat dog and the cheese and sauerkraut made the dog all nice and reubeny. Sweet potato fries were some of the best fries i have had in a long time! worth checking out even if you are a vegetarian! Retro décor was nice, but it felt like the plastic chair I was sitting on was going to fall over.
