Another tasty visit! Sliders were fantastic as always!

This is a great pub with excellent pub food. This is a busy place with a lively crowd on most nights. Great to catch a game. Fun is always on the menu.

Stopped by after work in the area for drinks and food with friends. The bar itself has an interesting vibe — very laid back attitude and no-​frills service.
That being said, I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food! I ordered the chopped Greek salad which was very good. It came all impressively stacked up and tasted delicious.
This is a good spot for late night drinks and food, but not sure I would go out of my way for dinner here.

I want to give you stars, at least 3, but I just can’t. You really have to humble yourself and hire more staff. This place is impossible. You wait 15 minutes for only two bartenders/​servers/​staff to even look at you. I watched three customers (on separate occasions) go to stand at the bar to close their tab, because no one went to their table… Then they waited at the bar for 10 minutes. Awful. THEN, the customers get angry and frustrated, that makes the 2 servers get frustrated and snappy, and it’s just an awful cycle.

I originally gave this place 4 stars, but the last two times we went in there service was super slow and the food was just ok. We went here tonight (and we’re regulars) and were basically ignored for at least 15 minutes so we left and went to the Monkey Farm down the street where we were served immediately.

Did not feel comfortable at this hole. Happened to go when there were plenty of regulars behaving like they own the place and questioning anyone else there. In places like this there is no way you enjoy your drink or food at your own pace. Not sure I’ll go back, may be another try when it is not busy with snotty people.

Food here is consistently cooked perfectly! Full bar with drinks for all likings. Jack Rabbit’s Burgers, Burger Restaurant & Hot Dog Joint in Old Saybrook, CT provides the food for the Rabbit Hole Tavern next door and is a heaven sent, unique eatery, great valued, gem in the wall!

What a great burger! The boneless buffalo chicken wings were amazing too. Can’t wait to come back to Old Saybrook for a delicious burger. Keep up the great work.

Last night my friends and I came here for some drinks and to enjoy the live music. Everything was great until one of the patrons, who was very intoxicated (who also was claiming to be the manager) tried to start a fight with us. After coming back from smoking a cigarette, Jen (the «manager») demanded that we get out of her seat. Apparently we had taken her seat while she was out. Instead of politely asking us to move, she was irate, cursing, and acting like a ghetto fool. She caused a big scene in the bar. Eventually we got tired of the nonsense and decided to leave. The bartender was even yelling at her to calm down or he would kick her out. I’m upset that we were having a good night that ended sour because of her belligerence. I feel like the staff should have escorted her out, especially if she was supposedly the manager, instead of having seven patrons leave. Despite this place being a good time, I know my friends and I will not be coming back here because of this interaction.

2x wings good, 3x on the side = perfect. SouthernTier on tap… All is good in the universe. Plus Holly at the bar makes it awesome.

Great Burgers and great price. They had $ 2.50 draft Yenglings and .75c wings!
We went on a Wednesday night. The service was excellent. Two servers running the bar and the tables and stopping in to check on us often. For what you think is just a bar, the food is truly excellent. They have very interesting menu choices and everything is made fresh. The place looks great, the table area is open to the bar and not cramped. Again the servers were great, spent time explaining menu and drink options… It was a great experience. Fun night.

Great wings, burgers, and dogs! Nice selection of beers… $ 2.50 Yengling drafts on Monday Night Football nights. They also have a bunch of different bloody marys but I have to admit I have yet to try the bloodies… They have some unique burgers and dogs as well as some different lobster dogs.

Great burgers with about anything you could imagine.
Service very good even with one person and she just finished serving the crowd who was watching the World Cup.

I have to think something was amiss at Rabbit Hole during our visit. The bartender was doing absolutely everything himself. He tended bar and waited all the tables. He did a damn good job, but it was just too much for one person. If you wanted something you needed to track it down yourself or you weren’t going to get it. He never seem flustered, but he had to be overwhelmed.
It’s a seat yourself place. You basically have to sprint to a table when it opens up. I don’t like that at all. The food is fabulous. We had burgers, onion rings, boneless wings, and fries — a real splurge calorie wise :) Everything was really good and seemed fresh and homemade but came out at odd times. Wings came last. They obviously put a lot of effort into their food, so it’s a mystery why they wouldn’t want to serve it in a better way.
I don’t think this night was representative of how service usually is based on the reviews here, so it won’t keep us from going back but if it happens again…
Oh, and they have lots of TVs to watch games!

Forget the review below. Rude, loud, 4 staff who could not be bothered to take orders. So done with this place.
Perfect. Immaculately clean, great beer selections, moderately priced food, great service.
