Went for lunch with my mom wasn’t disappointed. Staff was good all around and we both really enjoyed the food. I had the chicken and waffles, it was served with a maple syrup and chili sauce(ancho)? Drizzled on top I really thought it was excellent. Mom had the steak flat bread and it also was great. Prices were reasonable for lunch $ 10-$ 12 per entrée definitely worth it. I will be back!

This is our go to place for special occasions. We like the guacamole made at the table. My favorite is the prime rib sandwich. It is delicious, tender and easy to eat. That is important to me as I have only one functional hand and hate delaying family from enjoying their entrees hot because they have to cut mine. My husband enjoys the fillet. The service is always friendly and prompt. We’re very glad to have such an excellent restaurant nearby.

The place looks really fancy when you walk in, the hostesses not very friendly, especially when you ask to be moved to a different table and when you ask for a booth, they ask for reservations(for that place I don’t think you need a reservation, that’s my opinion). The waiter seemed friendly but kind of hostile, the same with everyone serving. The people there seem like you are bothering them by coming in. LOL They don’t seem they love their job at all. Food very mediocre for the price. Overpriced BUT drinks were very good. Not going again that’s for sure.

After the heat of the park or flea market, this restaurant offers a cool, gently-lit atmosphere. Food is quite good. The spinach cheese dip was delicious if standard. Hubby had an excellent burger with steak sauce, cheese, good meat, and onion straws. I had the tuna/guac appetizer as my meal. The ingredients were good separately but seemed to be a strange combination for a shared appetizer. Overall, we enjoyed it and would not mind a return visit.

I’ve eaten here twice in the first few days of a business trip and will probably make it a third time before I leave. Both dinners have been excellent. First dinner I got the steak special that was a perfectly cooked steak on a pile of mashed potatoes, red skin double buttered, and topped with a fondue. The second was the half rib half rotisserie chicken, lemon and rosemary. On top of the great food, the wait stuff is top notch. They all seem to know what they are talking about and seem genuinely friendly.

Yum dititty yum yum. Stopped in for late lunch — based on fellow Unilocalers HAD to start with the guac and it did not disappoint. We added bacon because we could and it was delish. This is a very generous portion — it was an ample appetizer for two and would have even been plenty as a light lunch for one. Hubby had the Bahamian fish chowder — a nice tomato based broth rich with flavor and big chunks of fish. We shared a S’mores dessert complete with 8 toast-your-own marshmallows and graham crackers pre-schmeared with milk chocolate. It tasted like childhood again as we showed each other our family’s toasting techniques. Great service, excellent food, lovely atmosphere. Maybe a smidge higher than $$ but definitely worth it!

Went there Saturday. This place is heavily overpriced. For the price they charge for a steak they should not have undercooked and overcooked steak. Received my steak heavily rare by that i mean like not cooked. They took it back and when it came back it was well done and dry since they took it back cut open. I ordered a medium steak. The service was great. Our server was super nice but the manager should have taken off the steak from my bill. I don’t have a reason to come back. Was here the first time and its nothing that I would care to return to. The foods overall presentation was lacking as well. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Plenty t o choose from cheaper and better down the road.

I love the food and atmosphere at this warm and welcoming restaurant! It’s not close to home but I make a point to visit whenever I am in the area. I’ve enjoyed many great meals at Flamestone and look forward to returning.

5 stars it is. Chef Lou is a superstar. Taking the best of what worked and adding his own personal touch for clean, fresh and healthy Flamestone rocks. Buzz and energy are back, better than ever! Scott the GM has been joined by a major league talent, a new Executive Chef who is fine tuning the already good menu for the better in advance of an all new menu, which is overdue. An example is brunch. The new brunch menu is greatly improved, many more choices and good ones at that. Back to the new chef, met him personally, he walks the floor and interacts with diners. He shared his ideas and asked us for input. I’m very excited. Service outstanding and attentive as always. Expect to post again soon. I’m excited for the Flamestone team.

Best table side guacamole in the Tampa Bay Area. Their reputation precedes themselves. It is truly a hidden gem. I could probably visit every day just for the guacamole– that’s how good it is. Super impressed with the service, Amber was extremely helpful and attentive. She never skipped a beat. Order the white pineapple sangria, guacamole and chicken and waffles. Thank me later. We know the food is good here, due to past visits. Tonight we were sat and waited close to 10 minutes without anyone coming to our table. No water, no acknowledgement whatsoever. We left and told the hostess who left to get a manager but we still left anyway. We most likely will return but not soon. ***We visited again on April 6. We had a much better experience from start to finish. Ironically we were sat in the exact same spot as before. The server was spot on with fulfilling our needs with drinks, refills and checking in with us. This visit gets 5STARS! But when averaging the previous visit with this one it shows as a 4. Thanks Mr. Pappas for listening to your customers and making improvements.

Stopped in here for about the third time for my pop’s bday. The staff all hand signed a card, and all of us except one enjoyed the meal.(I think she might have ordered the wrong cut for her tastes thoe) The floor was a bit slippery, but they had runners down. We made a reservation and didn’t have to wait, so it was pretty seamless. Towards the end of the meal I felt a bit abandoned, but assumed they were closing so our server might have been doing closing work, plus our party was glad not to have an over attentive server. This time I had the tuna steak. Look at my picture, it was so perfectly seared and rolled in so many sesame seeds that it just made my mental tuna list!

I came here with my girl and her family the other night. It was my first time here. I was definitely impressed by the ambiance and environment. We started with the tableside guacamole. One of their signature appetizers. I thought it was decent, pretty good. I played it safe with a blackened grouper sandwich that came with fries. No complaints, it was good, the same as everywhere else. Our server was nice and attentive. We had everything we needed and she informed us of their nightly specials. Everyone liked their food and drinks. The red sangria pitcher was a hit at our table. I can see us returning eventually if we are in the area!

Get the table side guac — best appetizer here! We came here tonight for Sunday family dinner. We were sat right at the time of our reservation and every host acknowledged and spoke to us. Our server was informative but wasn’t overbearing, letting us enjoy each other’s company. We had a red sangria pitcher for 3 people and it lasted longer than we thought it would have!!! Always a plus! The table side guacamole was good as always and the guy making it was friendly. For my main course I had the angel hair in a white wine sauce with shrimp and scallops. It was very good and more than I could eat!

Disclosure: I was with a large group, so your experience may vary. Seated on the spacious, glassed-in patio, we had a very nice meal. I could have merely filled up on the delicious guacamole and solid beer and wine selection, but I made it through and ate one of the best filets that I’ve had in quite some time. Service was prompt, attentive and super-professional. Overall, a great experience.
