Pinot’s Palette

Great staff of friendly local artists. I love all the different paintings and workshops this studio offers, too! Always a fun time.

I cannot speak to the experience but I would like to comment on their policies. I had a reunion at my sister’s house in Palm Harbor with 3 friends from when we all attended school in Paris. We thought it would be great fun to do the Van Gogh Paris painting evening at Pinot’s Palette. Unfortunately 2 of us had just come off a red eye from Hawaii and California and the other from an 11-​hour journey from Athens. Much to our great disappointment, we showed up on Saturday instead of the Friday evening we had reserved. The very nice artist hosting the evening said we probably could join her class as it was wide open, but she would have to call the owner to get confirmation. Even though it was not the Van Gogh, we decided that just painting together would be fun. We were shocked when we were told that the owner would only allow us to join the class if we paid an additional $ 25 per person. As we had already paid for the more expensive 3-​hour class and this was a 2-​hour class, it seemed so unreasonable. We were all on a very tight budget so we declined the offer. The owner was told our circumstances and still responded with wanting more money speaks volumes about the greed driven business culture today. Pinot’s Palette could have acted with kindness. We had already paid. Instead they chose to take advantage of a very disappointing situation. Shame on them.

I’ve been three times. First time was a private party. Second time was a blacklight Unilocal event. Third time was with a special little girl, my boyfriends daughter. We each painted him something for Father’s Day.
The last time was the most special. It was a mother daughter night. She had a great time paining something for her dad. I had a great time knowing that that she was having a good time. I think our paintings are masterpieces but I may be biased.
If you haven’t been here what are you waiting for??? Get your girlfriends together or bring a date for a fun date night. I could never get him to go with me but.. ..

What a fabulous way to de-​stress & have some fun. I will be the first to admit, I am no artist & certainally don’t pretend to be.
This is a great place to go and relax and just enjoy yourself.
Let that inner child out to play!
Bringing a bottle of beer or wine, might make the experience even more enjoyable. Don’t worry they have everything you need. The canvas, paint, pictures to choose from & an experienced instructor to assist your budding inner artist.
As far as cocktails, beer & wine probably work best. They have a metal bucket to keep things on ice, cork screws, bottle openers & glasses. There is no corkage fee, the owners just want you to relax and enjoy your time letting your freak fly as an artist. Great way to truly laugh out loud at yourself & friends.
What’s a girl to do? Everything goes well with wine, even my substandard art, that I am so proud of.
