I ordered and paid for a cup of pistachio almond. The ice cream tasted bad — one of the nuts was rotten or over-roasted. This happens, ok, so I asked the cashier for a cup of another flavor. The cashier sent for the owner/manager. He said I’d have to pay for it. He said it was pistachio AND almonds, one of their best sellers. I told him I knew, it was one of my favorite flavors and that I had ordered it at this store many times. But that tonight it tasted bad. He said it’s a fresh tub, just opened, it’s fine. When I insisted that something was wrong with it, he said he’d had some earlier today. I repeated his words, that it was a fresh tub and I was the first to have some. His response was to take a sampling spoon and eat some in front of me, saying«it’s fine.» I reminded him that my son and I stop in every Monday on the way to Boy Scouts and I am not scamming him for a $ 3 cup of ice cream — I just want something that isn’t defective. And if I don’t get decent customer service I am done with his store. He still refuses. As I am walking out he says, «What can I do for you?» Is this restaurant customer service or automobile dealer negotiations? You have to threaten to walk to get ice cream that satisfies you? There are other good spots in the near vicinity and we’ll be going there.

Uhhhmmmm, I am not even sure where to start. I was out for ice cream with family and friend which is arguably the easiest experience for an establishment to get right and I can only givie this one star because two stars means I have had better giving hope that I would return. Wow, I sound harsh but? Walked into the place and it was dirty — first impression. Stuff stacked up around, tables were dirty — that can happen. Not a terribly long line and the wait was reasonable. We walk up to the counter and the manager/owner? comes out from behind the back and throws a plastic bag of ice cream bowls across the floor sliding it to someone at the other end of the store. They pick it up, open it and stack them on top of the others. These cups skidded 10 feet along the nastiest ice cream and dirty floor you have ever seen… and this was the owner I am pretty sure. We order three shakes — no biggie we thought. The guy that took the order looked at us like we «just ordered a bowl of raccoon soup» as my daughter put it. He was stunned, turned around, didnt know what to do, washed a metal cup to mix the shake in and and put it down to dry. He then turned back around towards us and chatted w a girl and went to the next person in line to take an order — never said anything to us. We were standing there for a while now and I finally asked a young woman that knew what she was doing if she could help us given this guy didn’t seem to know how to make shakes and he moved on and she brushes me off saying dont worry he will get it right and went to the next person. We asked the guy again and he then spoke to the owner. To make a long story short(not possible now I know) from ordering our three shakes to getting them = at least 35 minutes. The owner eventually made them… and they were ok at best — peanut butter and choco shake tasted like choco. The topper is when we were checking out, a woman walks up and starts talking to the owner about dinner. He is sweating and agitated and looks up at her while I am standing there and makes a comment about«what about me?» and she says«what about you?»…and then he says, «I am always forgotten about»…blah blah«you never care»…all in front of two 11 year olds and me just trying to pay and go. No apologies from him or nothing. We typically go to Cornerstone across the parking lot and decided to try this given the line over there… never again for a whole lot of reasons. Sorry, but necessary. Hope this leads to some changes.
