Myong Sae Salon & Spa

Loved my previous stylist, but needed to find a new salon due to the toxic air quality in the salon. After trying two stylists at other salons, I found Myong via Unilocal reviews! I’m so thankful!
Myong is a true artist; compassionate, gentle and talented. She listens to what you’d like in a cut and colour, and gently offers suggestions based on your goals and her expertise. Her salon is truly a place of restoration… Quiet, gentle music, no toxic products/​smells, and the service unhurried: very comfortable and relaxing. She has such a light touch that I’m never really sure when she’s cut my hair! However, with Myong, I leave with the perfect cut, feeling as though I’d been pampered. I look forward to each appointment and highly recommend Myong… Someday, I hope to settle in for some permanent makeup. Other clients have shown me their brows and eyeliner, and its second to none. !

I’ve had two haircuts from Myong now and I plan to go back. She is very friendly, makes sure you are comfortable, and gives good advice on choosing a style. Her studio is homey and you are surrounded by plants, natural light, and Myong’s artwork and knick knacks. She has a very friendly cat who lives in the studio. Her price is very reasonable, and she has a convenient location with free parking.

Very attentive and thorough. The salon was empty (no other clients or stylists), which seemed a little different to me. I was happy with my hair cut when done; however, it seemed to take a longer time than usual. However I realize it’s because of the very thing I began praising about (the personal attention). For some reason I didn’t like being the only client though. Obviously I have mixed feelings about it.

What can I say about my SECOND experience with my kindred spirit but AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!! She is such a patient n loving artist, her heart overflows with how much passion she has for her craft!!! I am very happy to day that BOTH of my of moments when I have needed my mom, whom has been my hair stylist since birth, this remarkable woman has put my mind at ease n my hair, PERFECT!!! I LOVE U!!!

I had my hair cut by Myong today. She was excellent. I have really thick and fairly long hair but am a little on the chubby side; my hair can just hang there like a wet pile of a mop all day in a completely unflattering way. I explained what I wanted — layers that framed my face and hid some of the chub but also wanted some thinning to it wasn’t so heavy, I could reduce my shampoo use and could also put it up for work.
She was meticulous and worked really diligently making sure everything flowed and was even. I am very happy with my haircut and it ended up (basically) being like that one haircut… I had in a far away land… that I always dreamt of having but could never get anyone to replicate.
She has a very friendly cat as well so if you are allergic, be aware. He crawled right up into my lap at the end of my haircut and seemed to want to fall asleep. It was perfect for me!
Oh and despite the time and effort and my «OMG just fix it» attitude, her price was very reasonable ($ 40).

I moved to Lacey in January and have not had my hair done since December. I looked all over Unilocal and found Myong. After seeing the before and after pics and reading all the reviews I was excited for my appointment. My mother in law came to visit and wanted to pay for me to get my hair done. Being a stay at home mom that does not do much for myself I jumped at the chance. Myong listened to what I wanted, talked me through her suggestions, and totally gave me what I wanted. It took about 5.5 hours but I loved being in her salon with her and her cat, Angelo. It is an adorable place with her paintings all over. So serene and beautiful :) I forgot my water and didn’t bring anything to snack on so she gave me water, walnuts, and made me a small protein shake. I thought it was so sweet! She was also such a pleasure to talk to. I love that she doesn’t push you to buy her products. What she tells you is her honest opinion. I am wanting to lose some weight so I want to go to her for a makeover when I achieve my goal! Something to look forward to! Thank you again Myong!

Went in today and had my hair foiled… it is absolutely beautiful. I love the color! Myong really is talented in colors and cuts. She knows her stuff and really seems to care about her clients. She is so fun to talk with and is just a true and kind person.
She cut my teenage daughters hair as well and my daughter loves it!
She worked with me to get the best time for my appointment was very accommodating. So happy I found Myong!

Myong is an outstanding beautician. I’ve been seeing her for several years now and I can’t imagine having anyone else touch my hair ever again. She is always able to give me the color and style I want. When I first came to see Myong my hair was down past the middle of my back and now I’m sporting sexy short platinum hair with dark low lights. Myong is the best so don’t waste your time or money going anywhere else.

This was the best haircut I’ve ever gotten. I cut my own hair for years but was feeling the need to hand the job over. I was waiting to find the right person. I was recommended by a friend and she mentioned that Myong is a painter and that she had a very soothing experience there.
Myong was able to give me the precision cut I wanted by using a special tool. She cut my hair so sleek! There was relaxing music, beautiful décor, and even a cat walking around. Her salon is also her painting studio so you get to see her finished works and works in progress. Totally an optimal place to get your hair done. Myong is very creative both as an artist and a stylist, and a really nice woman as well.

Today was my first day here as I was looking for an eyebrow wax and the beauty college, but was closed early. So my boyfriend and I turned onto State Ave and noticed this place. We walked in and it was quiet and it was not full of people and the vibe was warm and pleasant.
She greeted us right away, along with her sweet little kitty cat who I can tell loves all the attention he/​she gets when customers come in. She was sweet and asked us what we wanted right away and we didn’t have to wait.
She took me into the back room and gave me a warm towel to cover up with. The room was clean and organized, very beautiful and nothing like the other salons that look like a scary doctors office. She listened to what I wanted and explained what she was doing and she was very gentle! I have sensitive skin and at every other salon I’ve been to they were rough and they tore skin and left bruising on me that lasted days. After Myong did my eyebrows, I felt barely any pain and she was very slow and gentle and she took her time rather than rush through it to tear my hair out!
She complimented my long eyelashes and suggested eyelash tinting which I might consider doing next time. But all in all my experience was amazing and I felt like the price of my eyebrow waxing was perfect! It was only $ 15 and at other salons they’re way too expensive between $ 30-​$ 50. And she did an absolutely amazing job on my eyebrows, you think with her quality of waxing that it should be pricey!

Myong is such a sweet and wonderful person. She helps you understand the process that your hair goes through and what you can do to help your hair stay healthy. She is such a joy!

Excellent place to go! Myong is a true artist! She listens and will not give a cut that doesn’t work for your hair type or face shape. I seriously get at least one compliment a week on my hair.

Myong is such a wonderful stylist and a great person! I recently moved to Seattle, but I still get my hair done here every time I come home to visit family. She really listens to what look you are going for, but gives you her honest opinion about what would look best. Her color skills are incredible and I have gotten so many compliments on my hair since going to her!
