I grew up in the Benson area in Omaha, and I’ll soon be 72. It’s so nice to see the redevelopment of the area. Aromas has an extensive menu of coffees and baked goods to accompany. Wi-fi. The space was a paint store 60 years ago! It looks they’re adding a couple of light lunch menu items as well. It’s a great place to relax and to chat with friends or family. I loved it and really look forward to frequent visits.

Aroma’s has great coffee and excellent atmosphere. It’s best for chatting with friends compared to getting consumed in individual work that requires near silence. Vegan treats are also a plus. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. This coffeeshop is a great addition to the Benson neighborhood.

Low key but hip coffee shop in a run down neighbourhood in the process of being gentrified. Hipsters all over of course. Where there are hipsters though, there is generally good coffee. Swings and roundabouts innit?

This is a really nice place to hang out. The space is really open and well lit with natural lighting. The tables are nice and spacious. Some others have complained about the metal chairs but I didn’t find it that uncomfortable, and they have some plush armchairs scattered about. I appreciate that the music isn’t loud and distracting, and when I went in on a weekend, there were very few people, making it a great workspace. I’m not a coffee person so I got the pecan roll, which was very good.

I’m an ex-Starbucks goer. I really love Aromas in Benson. Close to home, plenty of sitting area and a great outdoor patio. The staff is always very pleasant. I am always a big fan of someplace that can make a decent cappuccino. Unfortunately they don’t know or have the matcha powder to make a green tea latte. Their attempt with dragon tea was way off. They have great pastries and cupcakes from the Bliss bakery downtown. I normally don’t have a problem with parking, but I don’t go at primetime either. I will like to see more comfortable furniture someday, some of chairs have holes in them and the metal chairs are not very comfortable, maybe they do that for a reason. Highly recommended.

I had an americano that was rich and bold. Atmosphere was great. Staff very friendly! Located in a great community that was fun to walk around after we enjoyed our coffee.

This is essentially the freelance web developer’s hub during the day. Best coffee and best atmosphere. I miss it in California!

My wife and came here for the first time! We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The tea selection and coffee choices are very good. The soft chairs made me almost fall asleep while drinking my macchiato! Very comfy compared to Starbucks! We hope other people have a good time here.

Nice and cosy place. Seemed like there’s only a person working in the entire café when I went there on a weekend however I didn’t mind because it was my first try and they didn’t do anything wrong. I had Vanilla bean rooibos tea(decaf) which was great. Rooibos tea is good for relaxation. I’ll be back here again soon.

I like the atmosphere here. With my headphones on there’s lots of room to stretch out on the couch, find a table to read, or spots to plug in your MacBook. Plus there is always great people watching in Benson! Love this area!

It’s good. New roast is fruitier, lighter. Staff is pleasant, hip. It’s a bit X-y at times, but not proselytize-y if that kind of thing matters to you. Good open mic on Mondays. Good calzone. GREAT outdoor space enclosed by a fence like a beer garden for secluded smoking. Metal chairs though, man, I don’t know. If I’m not sliding in them they killing my tailbone, but it ain’t that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. They’ve got some sweet treats that are 5 stars on their own.

The cinnamon rolls I cannot rave enough about. They are the best I’ve ever had. Really any fresh pastry you cannot go wrong with. The café is light and quiet a good place to nestle in with a great cup of coffee.

This Aromas located in Benson, like the sister store in the old market, offers a lot of seating for studying, meetings, and coffee with friends. They have great pastries and coffee and also offer limited lunch options. I actually like the vibe in there– there is a big concert stage right in the middle of the shop which is super cool because it helps them really utilize their real estate from day to night. The parking for me is hit and miss-sometimes I score and sometimes I have to walk 5 blocks. Wifi offered to patrons and clean bathrooms!

Did some thrift shopping in Benson and stopped in to get a coffee, I had a Turtle and it was really good. Not overly sweet but still having a strong coffee flavor. I’ve forgotten the barista’s name but he was very informative and customer service friendly. I did have a crème brûlée cupcake also, and it being later in the day seemed to be stale. Not sure if they are made in house or obtained elsewhere but it was probably fresher that morning. The taste was great and it was flavorful but the moisture was absent. If I’m ever roaming Benson again, I’ll stop in for another coffe but depending on the time may skip the dessert. Give it a try.

Definitely in my top three favorite coffee shops in all of Omaha. This place is spacious, pretty quiet, welcoming, and clean. Full of tables strewn across a couple of different spaces/rooms, you feel comfortable pulling out a laptop to do work or pushing two tables together to chat with a large group of friends. They even have a stage for live music! Their coffee is spot on. They serve the most delicious espressos. And their treats… yummmmm. Cupcakes, muffins, oh my, my, my. They also sell Benson/Omaha t-shirts locally made, as well as locally-roasted coffee beans. Oh, and they have this«coffee club» thing. Here is where I am going to screw up the details, so definitely don’t quote me … talk to a barista instead. But for something like $ 30 a year, you get a keychain coin that gets you 10% off all your drinks for a year, plus free treats every now and then. If you’re a big coffee drinker, this could totally save you some money. And you’d also get a super exclusive coin keychain thing, so that’s pretty awesome. :)

I arrived here on a rainy Monday Night after a disappointing venture to Espana which is closed on Monday =( First thing I noted was great décor! Larger then your local Starbucks with spaced out seating so that you aren’t awkwardly touching elbows with the stranger sitting next to you. Very warm ambiance with a stage… me thinks open mic night? Second thing FREE pastries hosted by U. S cellular so I was a happy camper with my free cupcake ;) it was pomegranate, sweet not tart with a jelly filling Third I ordered the Turtle and Yummy Yummy! I tried not to drink it too fast but it was just so delicious! So order a large if you are a sweet tooth caffeine addict. Overall I’m a great fan =)

The gentleman I was visiting in the Midwestern city where my father spent a portion of his youth(by which I mean Omaha) had once resided in Washington(state that is, where excellent coffee is ubiquitous) lamented the dearth of options for good brew as we exited the Benson Brewery. Imagine our delight, then, as we happened upon the Aromas coffee house just down the way from the brewery. Aromas has a nice coffee bar and plenty of seating, both in a relaxed bookstore-esque lounge area and the mixed-use music act area. There are homemade pastires(try the caramel-pecan rolls), and the atmosphere is nice, but with only one barista-cum-cashier managing the whole of the coffee area, service was little slow. Now, granted this was a wednesday evening, but I did have to wait more than ten minutes for a cappuccino with an extra shot… Otherwise, Aromas is a great little place to grab a cup of Joe, night or day, in Benson.

This is a very nice coffee house. It’s as good or better than ones I’ve been to in KC, Denver, Portland and Maui. (It’s been awhile since I frequented Caffeine Dreams.) I like the physical layout — three main seating areas and a small outdoor patio. No problem finding a table to enjoy your coffee. There’s also an ‘arts stage’ where music and other events can happen. Their ‘2 for $ 6′ menu is great for the morning. I tried an Ethiopian and pecan roll — both good. Next time I’ll order a latte and see how good the espresso and barista are.

Yeah, Aromas is kind of my new favorite coffee shop in Benson. It’s spacious and welcoming with a great selection of locally-roasted coffee(from the Bean Smith). The staff is super-friendly and there’s a certain sense of community at this place that you can’t quite put your finger on – maybe it has something to do with being a collaborative space with the new 402 Arts Collective — but it’s refreshing nonetheless. They have several different ways they’ll prepare coffee for you: Regular old giant thermos squeezes to a pot of Chemex(drip coffee) and a few in between. Glad to have Aromas in Benson! I’ll be up here often, so look for that guy hunched in the corner staring madly at the glow of his laptop screen.
