My brother took me here when I was visiting from Florida! Yummy coffee. Great staff. Super charming place!

Great drinks, baked goods too. They have plenty of great bicycle parking right out in front so you can keep an eye on your bike whilst locked up.

I have received nothing but excellent and friendly service during my multiple visits. I like a bike shop that has a passion for steel bikes and will take the time to help me put a vintage bike back on the road. Living in southwest Omaha, there are half a dozen bike shops closer to my home. It is worth the extra drive to work with Omaha Bicycle Company’s knowledgeable staff and enjoy the small shop experience.

This is what local community is all about. Quality all the way around and the best looking customers! !! LOL. Always get a smile and yes I did buy a bike when I did not mean too. And I’ll do it again I’ll tell you. Keep up the awesome work Sarah and Jim and baristas.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Awesome ginger chia tea and spinach feta scone. My boyfriend loved their coffee as well. I love that a bicycle shop is also a coffee shop. Oh and they recycle.

I enjoyed this place so much. First of all, it’s in Benson, which is one of my favorite areas of Omaha. I was warmly greeted as soon as I walked in. The baked goods looked wonderful – after chatting with the(hilarious) barista and her mother for a while, I bought a lemon white chocolate cookie and a vegan pecan roll, which went beautifully with my Lavender London Fog. They have ample seating around the coffee bar. My friend and I found some comfortable seating facing the store window, which was great. The treats were yummy and the Fog was very good. I already anticipate going back to try the coffee!

Could use more outlets and more sophisticated toilet amenities but this place is ONPOINT. The breve is as good as any I’ve had. The staff aren’t dicks. There’s a good deal of traffic b’c of the whole bike thing. There are plants everywhere, in the seating area and that’s a nice touch. There’d seating for 20 in a pinch. Good place for a small gathering. I’ll be back.

What an awesome little bike shop! I went here for a Unilocal Elite event, and I’m so glad I did, because it’s kind of tucked away and I may have missed it otherwise. I spent some time talking with Sarah, the owner of the store. She is super cool and extremely knowledgeable about all things bike-related. She even went to school to learn how to properly fit people for bikes! I mean, come on… Seriously though, she was great and you could tell she wasn’t just trying to sell you something — she genuinely loves bicycles and was excited to talk about them. She was funny and down-to-earth… someone I’d love to buy a bike from if I didn’t already have one I love! The shop also sells basic bike equipment… think helmets, lights, etc. And also an assortment of other cool little Omaha/Nebraska items. Bonus… the shop is also a coffee shop… whhhaaat?! And they sell Intelligentsia coffee, so extreme bonus points for them! The atmosphere is super laid back and welcoming. If you’re shopping for a bike or just need a tune-up, definitely check this place out!

I was here for an event last night a was able to talk with owner Sarah for a while. She is very enthusiastic about the Omaha biking scene as well as events end development of the Benson scene. Great place in Benson just to chill — or warm up…

Best Latte of my life! I should have gone big… this will be my go to whenever I am in the area. Great, quirky ambiance, good tunes, comfy seating area with space heater. Friendly staff and delish sugar cookies. What a lovely treat after 2 full days of meetings.

By far my best coffee experience in Omaha so far and that’s a pretty strong statement among the new developing coffee culture. Sarah is great and the coffee is too! Make sure and try the peach scones! I stayed and browsed at the bikes as well and they’ve got some options for everyone it seems.

In my eyes, the measure of any good coffee shop is a cup of joe, black. I don’t go for Lattes or anything with milk in it and neither does the guy in the back of this shop curling bike frames with his shirt off. So anyway, the Intelligentsia here is so good if introduced to sequestered tribes in the Amazon one can imagine that their entire belief system would be altered to focus around this magic black potion and it’s seductive effect on the toungue and the brain. It had an interesting, almost sour twist to it and a sultry aftertaste that hung on the tounge and whispered sweet nothings into my taste buds. So that alone is enough for me to slap on a five on it but holy Betty Crocker’s ghost on a fixie do they have some pastries here. Biscuit dough, cheese, bacon, apples and cream all came together into a baseball sized little slice of Eden that I shoveled into my gaping maw one winter morn as I walked over to the Benson Library and thought to myself, «This place is my kind of place.» You should check them out.

OBC is tha bomb! Why you ask? The owners are super sweet, kind and full of great information. The Intelligentsia coffee is great(only place in omaha you can find this stuff-originally from chicago-and is direct trade) and I like the yerba mate iced tea a lot. They have a great bike selection focusing on the Surly brand which isn’t cheap but they are great. Vince is a bike genius and Sarah is the queen of the coffeeshop side of things. They really believe in what they are doing and are doing so much good for the bikers of Omaha. Forget soulless chains, come here for something amazing!

Stop #3 on the 2013 Coffee Crawl! This was probably the high point of my day — yes, because of the Intelligentsia Coffee(Organic El Gallo, Peru/Bolivia blend, Agua Preta Brazil(in season), & a shot of Black Cat Classic Espresso) and the Sweet Magnolia’s Spinach & Feta scone — one of my personal favorites… but also because I was at my peak in terms of feeling good. I have reason to believe that as the day wore on, my body started subtly shutting down all non-essential systems due to caffeine purging. This is just a theory however. Anyway, I would never have assumed this bicycle shop included a coffeehouse in its own right, but here it is! If you’re in Benson in need of a tasty pastry or a good hangout coupled up with an amazing coffee — make this stop a priority.

I would be here every day if I lived in Omaha. Delicious coffee via Chemex, top-quality pastries, vintage Bridgestones all over the place… Awesome.

The Omaha Bicycle Co will not disappoint! I live near Benson and have watched the Omaha Bicycle Co grow for the past six months on Facebook and driving by — but I hadn’t ventured inside until this week. I’m so used to being disappointed by Omaha coffee shops’ coffee, I think I was afraid to try them out. I have been missing out! The shop itself is very inviting. A good mix of tables, comfy chair/couch and bar-stool seating greats you as you walk into the hybrid coffee/bike shop. It’s bright, modern-eclectic and just hipster enough to belong in Benson, but not too much to make you feel like you don’t belong. And when you meet the staff, you feel like you belong. Very friendly with our orders and when I stopped to look at the bikes, they were very accommodating to this bicyclist-wannabe — answering my most-definitely stupid questions without a hint of know-it-all-ism. Back to the coffee, they brew Intelligentsia beans. I’d never had em before, but they were certainly delicious and OBC brewed them well. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for unique offerings like local pastries and lavender-flavored syrup(great stuff).

For the coffee crawl us Unilocalers did this morning; this place was stop number 3. So this little bike shop houses a most excellent little coffee shop within it. Some highlights include: — personal mug«parking shelf»; as in of you’re a regular you can leave a mug from home at the store on their shelf and use for your favorite cup of joe — their house blend is pretty fantastic, I’d say it was a consensus for our table that it had a nice flavor and was smooth. It was what the barista referred to as their«OBC» blend. It’s organic and on the bags of beans you can buy their breakfast blend. — the couches sit facing the store front, and optimal for people watching; which for a coffee shop is always a nice plus — their espresso was very bold and had a good strong note to it. If asking for a shot of this added to a flavored latte, be aware that you will taste it(which IMO is a plus) — don’t resist their pantries/scones…wow they are worth the splurge, just trust me on this one I really like the atmosphere of casual neighborhood bike shop/coffee shop this place has. For the coffee, I’ll be coming back! The bike shop portion is definitely a hipster bike shop, so they sell vintage bikes along with a few fixed gears. I thought their collection of leather saddles for sell was excellent and the most extensive I’ve seen in Omaha. The fact that they have flask holder for your bike was notable, I’ve never encountered that product before– most bikers I know would appreciate this as an addition to their bike. Other than that honestly their selection of bikes is limited, but also because it’s targeted to a certain type of buyer. The accessories they sell are limited(a few helmets, water bottles and other random accessories/bike parts).
