I went to Café 110 today. The sign said they closed at 3:30 and it was 3:10 — plenty of time to get a coffee to go. I entered and noticed that all the food had been put away. It looked like it had been closed for a while. I found the employee in the back. I said«The sign says you are open until 3:30». Her response, «Not on the days when I work my second job. I have to leave by 3.» Apparently, customers are supposed to know that. She asked if I wanted anything, and I said«No, I guess not. And I won’t be back.» She said«Good». I asked if she was the owner, she said«No». i said, I’ll let the owner know about you. So hopefully the owner will read this. I remember the Benson Grind, owned previously by this owner, as a terrific little coffee shop and the food was very good. I hate to see an inferior employee ruin a perfectly good shop.

This place has pretty good coffee, but seems a bit on the pricy side when you consider there’s a Starbucks around the corner. This morning I felt the need for some breakfast food. I walked in and the attendant ignored me for the first 5 minutes. I was dressed casually and not in my normal business dress, so I think her attention decided to focus on the woman in a 3-piece suit. It happens I suppose. Now for my order. I ordered the 2-egg, potato and toast meal with an extra side of bacon. The eggs were dry in spots and runny in others, almost inedible. The bacon is burnt to a crisp and tastes old. The potatoes look seasoned but need salt badly. The only part I have no complaint over is the toast. I am not a picky eater, and I know from experience that it’s kind of hard to mess up breakfast food. This was a serious let-down. If I need breakfast, I think I may stick with bringing my own from now on. This is truly sad as I work basically across the street from this place and was hoping that I could make it a regular go-to.

Atmospherically, it’s great. Very cool corner spot, many windows, neat overhead décor. Staff is friendly. Location is excellent as well-so with all that said, the food needs attention. My avocado chicken sandwich took 15 minutes with no other customers and lacked flavor. Reminded me of a grocery store sandwich… but even more bland! The salad bar is nice but only offers nuts for protein. They need to step it up in the food department and I’ll be back and update my review!

I came here trying to find a great spot down town for a salad, and left knowing I needed to keep on searching. It was an OK salad bar, just a little too bit on the small side. It was nice to see pumpkin seeds, kalamata olives, and artichoke hearts, but I was kind of hoping for some more veggies and protein options(chickpeas, eggs, or some tofu). Just something to take that lunch salad to the level where you are actually excited to eat it. For me, that needs something pretty good added to the lettuce. Salad bar is pay-per-ounce, so watch out on those heavy items, the price adds up quick. The soup of the day(a chicken taco soup) was good, large portion and lots of tomatoes, shredded chicken, onions and even some yellow bell peppers. I did appricate that house made ranch, and the options for light newman’s own french dressing. Nice café setting with a stage for a band, that seems to have tables on it at least for lunch time. The chairs were on the short side for the table height, which made you feel short and made you have to keep scooting forward in your chair. Not a bad lunch place, but nothing that stood out much for me either. Also I think they have modified the ordering process, you order and pay, then if you get a lunch option requires work(sandwich, pasta, etc…) it will be brought to your table.

I love this little unassuming café! Good food, great service, great people watching on Farnam street! The owner is super nice. Food is good, atmosphere is good. Good lunch spot for sure. Paninis, soups, cooked to order burgers and sandwiches, and some good looking desserts.

I went to Café 110 for lunch the other day and had mixed feelings on if I enjoyed my experience or not. To start, I was shocked at the process. When I told them my order they just went into the back without telling me what to do next. I was thinking I would need to pay but thats not what you do. Apparently you sit down and wait for the food to be made in the back. I tried walking around to find a restroom and couldn’t find one anywhere so I just waited till after lunch to go to the restroom. The food was pretty decent, I would brag about it nor say anything bad about the food. I did enjoy the fruit that came with my meal, that was a nice touch. My glass that had water in it was pretty dirty though. I didn’t mind at all and still used it but I could see where people would be upset with that. Then after my meal I went up and asked about paying and they took my debit card then. I had to wait for the lady ahead of me to pay first. She seems pretty annoyed at the process as they are using a square card reader. I actually liked this and will just use there payment app next time. Very convenient if you have the app on your smart phone. I would go back on occasion. Its good for a mediocre café experience. I would really like to attend a open mic night session. That looks pretty great!

Based upon Rodney R’s review, we selected Café 110 in the Landmark 1200 building for a wedding venue for both the ceremony and reception. The loft upstairs served as a private bride’s area, with the bride coming down the stairs from the loft as part of the processional. We were allowed to decorate for about 1 ½ hour before the ceremony. The buffet set-up, seating for guests, service and flow all worked well. There were about 40 guests. We could have handled about 10 more. Café 110 served bruchetta, pork tenderloin, fruit, vegetables, cupcakes, and beverages. All were very good. The ceremony, bride’s table, and cake table were all up on the stage that Café 110 uses for weekend entertainment. It worked out very well. MJ Carriages picked up the bride and groom on-site for carriage ride at the end of the reception. The photo opportunities are great, with the First National Building and Central Park Mall bridge in the background.

We just had a 40th Birday party at this space for about 40 people. The owner was so open to us and our event. He made a great buffet set-up for us(all very high end) and the space has these huge windows that look over the central park in Omaha. I had lunch in there one day and decided this was the place to have the event.(BTW: the food rocked, we even had caviar on little potatoes) and it was priced really well. With the loft upstairs I bet you could do a part of up to 50. What a great place!!!

I was about to head to Ingredient for a build-own-salad when my lovely co-worker suggested that I check out the new Café 110 downtown near the federal building. I’m so glad she recommended this place. Café 110 offers coffee, soup, sandwiches, baked goods, and best of all a salad bar. I was very impressed to see hummus, spinach, and pepitas on the salad bar along with«the good ranch»…we Nebraskans love our ranch dressing :) The staff was incredibly warm and friendly and since the salad bar is stocked with to-go containers, you can get in and out quickly. Perfect for a short lunch break! Also, rumor has it they will soon be offering a Jazz Brunch! I can’t wait!
