The food is good quality and tasty. However feeding a family of four will cost you upwards of 40 $ if each one gets a 1 meat plate and a drink. You approach the counter and the meat you desire is unpacked from Saran Wrap and cut and weighed. Different meats are cut on the same table and with the same tools. So if you do not eat red meat and only chicken and turkey then do not look how they prep your food! The BBQ meat is tender and flavorful. It is served without any sauces. The sauces are available in spicy, original and sweet flavors. We liked them all. A large drink will cost you $ 2.25 but you get a keepsake souvenir plastic cup. Avoid peak hours as it tends to get really busy with walkin and Togo customer orders. Kid friendly. Kids eat free on Sunday. The sides have good options but nothing to call home about. The roll and sides are pretty limited/small in quantity for a BBQ Joint. Mac n Cheese is bit on the dry side. Slaw is good. Cheesy spinach needs something like tortilla chips to go with it. Waffle iron fries are good and always served hot in small batches. All in all a solid option for family BBQ lunch or dinner. They have some good delivery and catering options too which run about 11– 14 $ a person.

Fast food bbq, not what I was expecting after reading reviews. Had 2 meat combo with ribs and jalapeño sausage. Ribs was a small portion and just okay, jalapeño sausage was a large portion and good. Mac and cheese nothing special, the green beans had a nice jalapeño flavor.

Dickey’s catered my work luncheon and the service and food was fantastic. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was top notch. Thank you!

There is a lot to like about this place. The sauces are flavorful, the portions are generous, and most of the cuts of meat are very good. They season and slow smoke the meats over hickory, and it has a pretty good flavor on it’s own. From what I understand, Dickey’s started in Texas, and it is very good, but I have to say, the Texas BBQ I have had at Rudy’s and Bill Miller(two hugely popular Texas BBQ places) when I have visited the Lone Star State, are on a different level. The huge amounts of complimentary bread, butter, and pickles those Texas staples load you up with really help make the meal. You don’t get that at Dickey’s(or anywhere else I have ever been to in Omaha), but maybe it is a regional thing. I ordered the Macaroni and Cheese and the Creamy Cole Slaw to have with my BBQ Turkey, but they have a great selection of delicious sides to please just about anyone, including Jalapeño Beans, Baked Potato Casserole, and Fried Okra. My turkey was a little bit underseasoned and rubbery compared to the last time I was in, but it was still good, especially when combined with the Spicy BBQ Sauce. The tea is wonderful, and the kicker for any kiddos you bring here is the free ice cream. The cones are just sitting there and it is all self serve. My grandkids love it. All-in-all, we really enjoyed our meal. We were so anxious to eat it, in fact, that I didn’t think to take photos for Unilocal until after we ate it all lol! All that is left are these cool cups we got(see photos). I actually like this touch, a lot bc I remember the days when my entire cabinet was full of the cool looking, hard, plastic cups that every restaurant and gas station gave away with their to-go drinks. Enjoy your trip to Dickey’s, and make sure to wear your eating pants.

Meh. The pulled pork was OKAY, the bbq sauce we had was the original and it simply was too strong a taste of vinegar. The roll it came with was good but didn’t seem to fit with bbq. The coleslaw was again, just OKAY. The baked potato casserole was not good in my opinion. To me it tasted like instant potatoes and fake bacon bits. It seemed like it needed something but I am not sure what, and it also seemed pretty dry and too thick. My husband had brisket which he thought was very good. He also had Mac and cheese which he said did not taste homemade and seemed to taste like stouffers frozen Mac n cheese which he likes but expected something different. Fried okra was the other side my husband had, which he also enjoyed. All in all I wouldn’t rush back. The food wasn’t horrible but also not the best. The service was fine but it’s just not my taste in bbq.

Most amazing BBQ ever? Maybe not but I have yet to be able to find anything to complain about… Way, way better than other sit down over-priced BBQ places in the area. Love the brisket, ribs, and hot crispy fried okra. Crave this place and have eaten here several times. Excellent value on the daily specials, one of my favs on Saturdays: big chopped brisket sandwich, 2 sides and big yellow cup drink for $ 8.99. Seriously can you even eat a garbage fast food places these days for that? Always a friendly, helpful, attentive staff.

Really great BBQ! I had a brisket sandwich, and it was really great meat. The staff was alright, I think they just need to fine tune their social skills and I’d happily give this place five start. Also, the sides aren’t amazing. They’re alright, but they taste a little like the pre-made stuff you’d buy in bulk from a grocery store. Still, overall a great place.

Fast food BBQ seems like a good concept but Dickey’s fails. It is simply overpriced, warmed up BBQ. The décor is fine, the customer service is okay but the wait for the food is not worth the cost. I got the ribs and they were dry and didn’t have enough smoke flavor. The Mac and cheese both lacked flavor. They were both under seasoned for my palette. Good to have new places to eat in West Omaha, I just wish they were worth going to more than once.

Great fast food BBQ! Now don’t get me wrong, this place has GREAT brisket and ribs and the original sauce is terrific. The ribs will melt in your mouth and the brisket is tender and moist! Killer rolls! Can’t beat the free soft server ice cream cones and the nice big yellow cup! Have you joined the Yellow Cup Club? Check out their site for more info. I use one of the little cups you use for the sauce for my ice cream! lol Don’t eat it too fas… arrrgh! brain freeze! Sorry I can’t see outta my right eye as it is frozen! haha It’s ok, just drink a little more pop! The staff were more than helpful and friendly! How many places can say that? My only complaint is the Onion Trangler things need way less salt! And turn up the heat on the sides. They were a little luke warm, but tasty! That’s a –1 star for that.

This place is wonderful! From the food to the customer service, it’s always a great experience. Make sure you try the spicy cheddar sausage… yummy! Also, if you get online and join the yellow cup club you will receive coupons. And if you see a long line, don’t let it fool you. It moves quick and is worth the short wait. We sit out on the patio whenever we can to enjoy our food and the great music. Before you leave make sure you grab a complimentary soft serve ice cream come! :-)

I have eaten at other Dickey’s locations, and so I was happy that a restaurant opened in my neighborhood. I had high expectations but I was quite disappointed. I sure hope that these are growing pains of a new business and will clear up with time. There was a long line because the service was so slow. We stood in line 10 minutes and then at the counter another 5 minutes before they took our order. They told us we had to wait 10 minutes for ribs, and when we checked back in 10 minutes they said it would be another 10 minutes. Then we noticed that they had forgotten about us. The manager was not apologetic and quite defensive when we called them out. Then we asked the manager for a to-go box and he forgot that as well. The staff didn’t seem to know what was going on. I ran I to an acquaintance who told me her order was also mixed up. The meats were tasty but room temperature, Not hot. The high points were the spicy sausage and the«free» soft serve. I put it in quotes because the prices were high for the quantity of meat we received. Maybe I will give this place another try in a few months when they have worked out the kinks.
