Famous Dave’s

I ordered from Famous Daves on November 13^th. It was good but they didn’t charge my card until December 7 which is a few days before my pay day so I over drafted. I called and talked to a manager named Nick who didn’t seem to know the first thing about customer service. I love Famous Daves but I won’t be back. I was told it wasn’t his problem and they aren’t accountable for my overdraft since they charged the correct amount. At the very least I expected an apology which was also not given to me. A little bit of customer service goes a long way. Reading some of the other reviews I expect this Famous Daves to be closed down soon. It is also very over priced.

I ordered a «feast for 2» substituting pork for the chicken. The person taking my order checked with either a supervisor or manager in the kitchen and he said it was ok.
When I got home, I had chicken and no pork. Messing up customer’s orders is a good way to loose customers, especially in Omaha where there are so many good restaurants.
The food was good, but if you get the wrong food, what good is it.
Although I have eaten at other Famous Dave’s, I think I will be checking out other BBQ restaurants in Omaha before I go back to them.

Good food, but nothing special. If you want cheap and tasty barbeque, Famous Daves is a safe bet.

Tried one more time but still no luck. Inconsistent and service was horrible. Ordered the exact same as the last time we were in, chopped pork. Meat was cold and very fatty. Talked to the waitress and she just took the plate away, she said ok and walked away. No one offered to bring out a fresh sandwich or anything. We will not be back.
By the way, this was at 12:30 pm on a Wednesday and there were only 4 others in the restaurant.

Went there last Friday to get some carry out. Ordered the ribs and chicken dinner. Specifically asked for white meat roasted chicken. It was even printed on the order ticket they stapled to the bag. Get all the way home (as this is the closest location to my house at 13 miles), all was there except the chicken was dark meat. They had already closed for the night, but it was only 10:30 pm so I called anyway. Talked to somebody who claimed to be the manager. He apologized, took my information and said he would mail me some coupons for some money OFF of my next meal.
Well, here’s the problem. After tax this food cost about 18 or 19.00. I rarely come out there to eat, as again it’s a 13 mile drive there. And since somebody wasn’t paying attention I didn’t get to fully enjoy the meal I was anticipating and paid for. The decent thing to do would’ve been to comp another meal for the error and inconvenience.
The reason for this review? It’s a week later and I have yet to receive this «coupon»!

BBQ is not one of my favorites but we like famous dave’s. Pretty consistent in regards to quality. Tonight we ordered the feast for two which included brisket, chicken and ribs. I think ribs are famous dave’s main strength, I have had better brisket. All 3 meats were tender, moist and flavorful. I think their prices are high, however the feast for 2 is way too much food for 2 people and easily fed our family of 4. We also have leftovers. I am sure we will be back.

Went here to day around 2pm we were the only people there. Our waitress had zero knowledge of the menu, we were treated rudely and she never tried to refill our drinks or take any dishes from our table. At one point i had to get up and find my own condiments because no one was to be found. The menu does not list all the toppings for there dishes so expect to be surprised, our waitress acted as if we should have known this when the food arrived, overall terrible experience. The staff needs better training better yet replaced seems to me like she was VERY lazy, remember we were the only ones there and got this type of service. I love Famous Dave’s but i will never visit this location again.

Ordered take out. The BBQ chicken sandwich was delicious. I would eat it again. The potato salad left a bit to be desired. The BBQ sauce bar near the carry out station was nearly completely empty, which was disappointing. The waiter did give me packets of two of the four kinds of sauces.

This is the old Chili’s location on Maple.
Clean. Yes, restrooms too!
Service. Started strong then was just gone.
Food. Portions small. Food tasty. Not hot and fresh. More warm and dry.
Return. Maybe, certain not a priority.
No manager on floor.
The server started not strong providing excellent service great job. As the meal progressed she visited the table less and less refills had to be asked for.
I’m a big fan in the consistency of famous Dave’s food. However today’s experience revealed dry and warm food wasn’t fresh and tasty instead of having six or seven chicken wings I was served four.

BYOB Special was good. Burnt ends good. Loaded potato soup good flavor. Service good.

Went 4 dinner. Was pleasantly surprised ordered the St Louis Ribs with Georgia Pork & Hot Sausage link (not really hot) sides were just as good broccoli fries beans & red whipped potatoes We were hungry for BBQ & we’d go back! The décor reminded us of TGIF staff was quick & friendly!

This place needs help! I’ve always liked Famous Daves but this particular one is the worst. Everytime I come here it seems like it takes so long and there will just be employees standing around doing nothing. Ate lunch here today and was shocked at how much the prices have gone up. There are no more lunch specials and what used to be a great lunch special has been raised by almost $ 3. If your losing money because your particular store is terrible don’t jack up the prices. You will make more money with volume of sales and better deals. Business 101! Anyway, sat here today and there was 4 total people eating in the whole place. Never got my water refilled once and it took me over 45 minutes to complete the whole lunch. Everyone disappeared in the back the whole time and one lady sat there forever trying to get her check. This is my first review ever but I finally had to speak up. The quality here is terrible compared with the other Famous Daves and the service is terrible. Over priced and not worth it. I don’t see this place lasting much longer. Better restaurants around with cheaper prices, better food, and service. Don’t waste your time or go to a different Famous Daves.

Gluten free options here! Amazing revelation. As a gluten free person you constantly feel like you are infringing on your «going out to eat» options with friends and family. So very happy to find this easy to understand allergen key so I could enjoy a hearty meal with my boyfriend.

Hartland BBQ Tuesday, Famous Dave’s Wednesday. I was on a BBQ jag this week. Dave’s is indeed a chain and the help at this location reflect it in their ‘just another customer’ attitude… but the complaints stop here. I ordered the hot link lunch with a side of Wilbur beans and it was perfect. The link skin was crunchy while the warm interior was moist, make that succulent. Sweet and Zesty was my sauce selection and it made the meal a real treat. And the beans? Wonderful!
Yes chain I know but a quick tasty meal that is consistent restaurant to restaurant. Famous Dave’s…I will be back.

This famous Dave’s needs help. Won’t b there long. Not worth what you pay. Food is old tasting like it came from a refrig. Lots of staff standing around, yet meals take time.

I will be the first to admit I’m not a huge BBQ fan (but my husband is so I thought I’d give it a whirl). That being said, I can appreciate good food and even good BBQ. This was just eh! Not horrible, but definitely not great. Service was mediocre — we were seated in a section that didn’t have a server (arrived at 5:00). After waiting at our table for 10 min. I finally had to track someone down at the hostess stand. The guy who waited on us was great and very apologetic.
This is just a chain. Nothing spectacular. I’d rather use Famous Dave’s BBQ Sauce on some yummy BBQ ribs my hubby grills for us at home.

I’ve found myself here a couple of times now, and keep forgetting that I’m not that big a fan of the food. The ’80 proof’ burger today was pretty good (reminded me of the Jack-​Daniels-​everything days at TGI Friday’s), but gave me some wicked stomach issues later in the afternoon.
Ultimately it’s just a regular Famous Dave’s chain — except this one used to be a Chili’s — at which my favorite things are the macaroni and the sauces. I’m writing this review to try and remember I’m not such a fan of the food. Service was good and staff were friendly though, so if you’re a Dave’s fan (and have an iron stomach) this would probably be right up your alley.
