The worker was helpful however, she was slightly rude.
I asked if blue was the only boy color they had… her response «depends on what you consider a boy color– we have pink, white and black»… now she knew what I meant. It wasn’t a time to prove the point of being political correct and not having gender colors.
Then I asked to see the DS… she kept her hand very close to it and you could tell that she thought I was going to run out the store with it… Please lady— I am 8.5 months pregnant… I won’t be doing any running.
I asked her a few other questions — because I am clueless about gaming… and she answered them the same with the BS answers. I probably won’t be back to this location… I’ll stick to something closer to home… Bellevue.
When I did press the issue of my questions… she did explain things better. But it was still clear that she must have thought I was an ignorant customer with no money who was going to waste her time… Calm down lady— Don’t put us all in one bunch… stop believing stereotypes… NO stealing was going to happen with me. Treat people better next time. If I wasn’t in a rush to buy the DS and games… I would have taken my butt down to Bellevue… and probably will buy my next games at the Bellevue location.
Beware future customers of color… go in with your hands up so she can see them– maybe then she will not think you are going to steal and hopefully stay calm and play her part as a representative of GameStop and answer questions without being so antsy.
