If you need a wide variety of foods to appease your group or if you just can’t decide what you’re in the mood for, this is the place to go. They have all the standard Chinese buffet foods plus a salad bar, a variety of American foods(like fries and chicken wings), sushi, a Mongolian Grill, and desserts including ice cream. As far as buffet food goes the quality is pretty good too(especially if you go during a busy time and fresh food is constantly being brought out).

I can’t believe this place used to be my favorite buffet in Omaha. It seems like the quality of the food just went down. Everything tasted so bland and not fresh although the food was hot it just tasted old… They do have good customer service skills!

People who enjoy Spam or frozen dinners shouldn’t miss this one. Terrible! I didn’t eat one thing that was worthy of human consumption. This is definitely for the Golden Corral crowd. Crab legs are very low grade and not served in clusters, they tasted old and over boiled. Even the fried rice was bland and sad. If you like food that’s overcooked or fried hard as a rock in old grease and tiny tiny shrimp, this is your spot. Darn Yuck! Bad service too.

Grand China Buffet — this is the place to go if you don’t care how many calories you you eat at one setting. I usually take my old man here when he wants to fill up on mud bugs and frog legs. They have just about everything from duck to chicken. The mussels w/cheese are the best I have ever had along with the bacon wrapped shrimp. They have crab legs but it looks like they don’t last too long on the buffet table. Their service is pretty good for the amount of people that are moved through this place. There is something for everyone here! Sushi bar is very good… Cleanliness of plates and tables is sometimes an issue that is why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5.

Food is always fresh and tasty. Good assortment of sushi, seafood and hibachi grill. Usually go on Sunday night and have to Wait for a table.

if I have to pick a place in Omaha to avoid at all costs this would be the place that I would choose. anyone that worked in the kitchen for any length of time can just look at the food put out and pick the ones that will make you sick later that evening. Most was just so over cooked I couldn’t finish it. Just dirty and bad inside and out. the grand finale of my meal was the waitress riding my heels on the way to the cash register acting as if I was going to run out on the check, push the cashier out of the way to ring me up and then asked if I wanted to change back from my 20 as if it was automatic that I would tip her the remainder of that bill for her bringing me two sodas and clearing away four plates. when I hear people rant and rave about how good this place is I look at them like they have lost their god-forsaken mind. when they say avoid this place like the plague you avoid this place because you’re pretty sure the plague is there.

Actually not too bad. I was prepared to see a place full of American Chinese food, but I ended up having a good time there. Even found 小龙虾!

This is not your standard Chinese Buffet. Usually if I am at a buffet it is because somebody forced/made me go to it. This place is the exception. I have found this to be the only acceptable of any kind of buffet in the omaha metro area. The food is different. Fresh, not overly seasoned with sauces and oily corn syrup. Everything is fresh hot and very very appetizing. they have these crab rangoons that are more wonton size that are pretty amazing. Overall the food here is great. hand made sushi everytime i have been there that has been top notch this is a must try

My girlfriend and I went here for lunch yesterday and we were both impressed by the variety. The food was good and we tried new things. I tried the Mongolian Grill and they did an awesome job! I didn’t get to try everything, but I think I have a new favorite Chinese restaurant on my list. The only thing that I didn’t care for was we had to pay for the hot tea. Other places don’t charge for it. We ordered 2 but only brought 1 cup. Had to ask for another cup but that was the only thing we had to ask for. I’m going back again real soon!!!

Went with my family and boyfriend last night. The line was long but we got seated in about 10 minutes after arriving. The table was dirty when we sat down so my mother asked them to clean it again, and get a hot cup of water to clean our forks and spoons with. The cup they brought up us had dirty ring in it and made me think twice about putting anything in it. The food was okay to me. the service is excellent, they’re great to their customers and that’s really appreciated.

I came here with my coworkers for lunch one day on a business trip. All things considered, this place defied my expectations. Coming from NY, where Chinese buffets are as common as McDonald’s, I was pleasantly surprised. The place was pretty packed, even though we got there at around 2pm. The interior is pretty typical of any other Chinese buffet. The food selection is pretty standard, and is varied enough that you can have about 3 – 4 plates of completely different food. In particular, there is one table/area that contains all of the deep fried food, for those that are interested. They had stuff like sweet and sour chicken, wonton soup, beef and broccoli, etc. What’s a little more unique is that they have a mongolian grill section as well, so you can pick a bunch of ingredients and have someone stir fry it up for you. They also had blue bunny ice cream for dessert. The waitress was also kind enough to accept the 3 dollar off coupon I found on the website while on my phone. I wanted to give this place a 3.5 since the food was alright and not spectacular, but given how cheap this was after the coupon I bumped it up to a 4. Also the staff were speaking Mandarin, so this actually seems to be run by Chinese people, which is a plus.

Average food. Not bad not good. For sure good value! This buffet is what you would expect from a chinese buffet in the Midwest. Lunch is $ 8. Used a -$ 3 coupon off their website(for 3 or more people) so basically with tax and tip, $ 9 a person for a lunch buffet. No wonder this place was like 60 percent full of people during lunch. Decent variety: american fried meats(chicken nuggets, onion rings), chinese take out food, with the usual lo mein, fried rice, sesame chicken, cheesy seafoods, Crab Rangoon, spring rolls, with maybe 1 or 2 traditional Chinese food(longevity and custard buns). Basic sushi(a lot of rolls with cream cheese. Is that a thing in Omaha?) that was okay. Desserts were basic some fruits, jello, pudding, and premade desserts. There is also a Mongolian grill that I didn’t try.

Tried it for the first time today and I like it. It has a clean and ornate environment. The service was fast and friendly. There are 6 buffet bars as well as a sushi and mongolian grill station. They have a lot of authentic chinese dishes vs the americanized food you see at most buffets. The black pepper chicken was really good. I’ll be back.

One Sunday noon visit was enough. There’s a lot of what variety there is, but none of it is particularly special — and for the high price, I’d really expect it to be special. I won’t go back.

I didn’t like this place 8 years ago and I still don’t like it now. It’s a cheap joint and that’s exactly what you get. Lots of screaming kids and very slimy sushi. If you know anything about Japanese sushi, stay away!!!

This place has gone DOWNHILL. My husband and I were craving crab legs last Sunday afternoon and decided to head there. Everytime I go to this place it is dirtier and dirter, food etc. all over the floor, dirty bathrooms, CHAOS! My biggest complaint though is with the crab legs, it’s like they ration them out and intentionally create this stampede to the buffet line when the fresh ones come out. I feel like a loser even being a part of it. They intentionally let the dish sit empty for up to 30 minutes at a time, while people anxiously wait and start to casually circle around like vultures– you know it’s getting bad when people actually start lining up in anticipation of the next batch. Come on! Either have the darn things or don’t! Yes, I’m sure they are expensive, but I would rather pay a few bucks more than be treated like a scavenger just to get a few. Also, WAY too many kids wreaking havoc every where. This last time, I watched a girl who couldn’t have been older than 5 take the last few puney crab legs out of the dish, only to be told to «put them back» by her Mom. since«more would be coming». She literally dumped them back off her plate into the dish(that they just refill by the way, not replace) along with remnants of the other items on her plate. I won’t be going back here. I’m surprised I haven’t gotten sick yet, and don’t really feel like chancing it again.

For an Asian buffet, this one does pretty well on the score sheet in both quality and price. Service can be pretty patchy during their dinner rushes, but its a huge establishment and I understand it can get hard to keep up. One time our table was overflowing with dishes and they were really apologetic when they finally got around to clearing it. I know many Asian families that will come all the way from Lincoln for the all you can eat crab legs and crawfish. Adults eat dinner for around $ 15 which is a steal if you’re eating the crab(typically $ 10/lb+) …Speaking of that, the crab and crawfish can be a hit or miss. Sometimes the meat can be overcooked and take on that powdery texture, but hey– I also gotta say they are quick with the turnover for bringing out new crab and crawfish as soon as it runs out. Thats when its a full house in there also! I would say more times than not the qaulity of the shellfish has been good. They also have a large selection of sushi(for a buffet anyway) and other american chinese foods. I noticed they even had frog legs on my last visit which is pretty impressive. They have finger food for kids like chicken nuggets and fries, if your kiddos arent into the Asian stuff. There is real self serve ice cream and a Mongolian grill which I have never actually done. For Omaha, good Americanized Chinese food for your buck.

Scary. We have been here twice. Food is fine, not great. Not always the freshest. The desserts especially seem a little stale. Reasonably priced and decent service for a buffet. But the second time we went the shredded cheese on the salad bar was MOLDY! We won’t be back.

I was pleasantly surprised this afternoon when my family and I first tried Grand China Buffet. It’s huge! Also, the sushi was actually FRESH. I couldn’t believe it. I went to Blue Sushi just a few days ago, and the sushi I had here at GCB made Blue’s basic maki rolls look like pre-made gas station quality. I never eat buffet sushi, and this was the exception. Also, the hot n sour soup was surprisingly good. I wasn’t as impressed with the standard fare,(sesame chicken, egg rolls, and other chicken dishes were very mediocre) and a few things I had I hated, as per usual when you go to a buffet. However, the seafood selection was great, especially for $ 8 on a Saturday, and the Blue Bunny selection was way better than the soft serve commonly found. Overall, the sushi was unexpectedly my favorite part. I might stick to that and try the Mongolian Grill next time, then finish off with a scoop of Blue Bunny. Try this place!

Really decent food at a great price(~$ 9-$ 11 for lunch). They probably have the greatest variety of azn food for buffets in Da Big O. For a pre-made buffet place, they actually have a nice variety of sushi too. I also like that GCB is really spacious and I don’t feel too cramped whenever I come here(I need my space when I do AYCE, naw mean?). With the money you save by eating here, you can go to Costco and buy more groceries and food! Maybe even a Costco hot dog? O. O hahah just keeding you’ll be too full from Grand China Buffet ;]
