I went upon a co-workers recommendation, got ½ slab of ribs — overdone and highly highly average — if you have a bbq joint — don’t screw up your ribs or you will be out of business in less than a year — this was the 108th Street location. I won’t be back

Stopped by on a Tuesday night. The place was nearly empty. I ordered a 2 meat combo, consisting of ribs, brisket, cole slaw, and mac and cheese. Every single item was good, none were great. Portions were generous. I stopped here because I was in the area and I’m glad I did. This is not a destination BBQ joint, in other words I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here. If you’re in the area, and you’re hungry for some BBQ, it is perfectly acceptable. Additionally the place was bright, cheerful and clean.

Crappy part of the city in a high crime area. Had mushy greasy and fatty ribs. The help didn’t seem to have a much knowledge about their product or menu.

This is a new bbq place in my area, and I’d recommend trying it. It’s a large, clean restaurant. The service was friendly and our food was ready within a couple of minutes. The smoke stack sandwich was great!

I’m from KC and BBQ chain restaurants are NOT good. But, because the bbq selection in Omaha is terrible, I give this place a decent rating. It’s clean, fast, and the portions are good. They need to work on their sides. It’s fine bbq but it’s not out of the world, I crave it all the time type of bbq. Brisket was good, and not dry like other reviewers were commenting about. We will go back because it’s close to home and the only BBQ near us.

Tasty bbq. Brisket is good, not overly smokey. The hot bbq sauce has a nice chili powder note to it, but it’s not overly hot. I will return — just wish they didn’t play such horrible modern country music!

Very clean and family friendly atmosphere. Food was ok. I had the pulled chicken sandwich and mac and cheese. Chicken was a little bland. Wife had the pulled pork and it was excellent.

Just had lunch there today and must say it left me uninspired. So much sauce on ribs, couldn’t really taste the meat(sauce was on ribs in foil). The baked beans were pretty blah also and serving shoestring fries with BBQ should be against the law. BBQ needs big, thicker cut fries. All in all, won’t go out of my way to eat there again, but, if I was hungry and it was right next to me, I would try again.

Just saw Hog Wild Pit BBQ had opened another location over off of Saddle Creek directly adjacent to Panera Bread. Limited Parking that is shared with Panera and Ace Hardware. Restaurant is large, clean, and very Husker/Sport oriented. Music playing is country… kind of expecting blues, but… let’s go try the food. Walk up to the counter and place your order. I picked a two meat plate of pork and brisket with two sides of coleslaw and baked beans for $ 9.49. Pick up of the food is around on the side and they call your number when it is ready. Also decided to try their cherry cobbler. Portions were decent. Quite a bit of smoke in the brisket and pork. Meat was fairly tender and the taste was decent. Beans were more Texas style, not as sweet. Coleslaw was very acceptable. Cobbler left quite a bit to desire however. Comes already prepackaged in a plastic container, so it is cold and the taste was not very pleasant. Did not realize that Hog Wild is a national chain. Not where I go usually to eat my barbecue. Overall taste is acceptable and service was friendly. Still, I prefer other independent barbecue restaurants in and around Omaha.
