Best Prime Rib. 4:30 — 5:30 early dinner menu prices no loss on portion size for me. Waitress great. Celebrating a bday everyone loved the food. Will go back.

Maybe the dine-in option is better. Staying at a nearby hotel and not feeling so great to go out. Figured I’d treat myself to a nice steak dinner!!! Food arrived in a timely manor, but no utencils or napkins. Steak was prepared medium, which was a little over cooked in my opinion. Dry flavorless steak, baked potato came with diced pieces of American slices. I’m pretty easy to please, but when you have to take a bite of salad and dressing with every bite of steak, you’re not looking at a great steak. With so many other options around PF Changs, Bonefish Grill etc… I’d skip this one. Spent $ 40+ on a very avg steak. Go to Bonefish instead.

Jerico’s was recommended to us when we had gone to The Drover and had complained about the prime rib. «Go to Jerico’s for good prime rib…» So we did. We went there for lunch on a Monday, got there at 11. At first we were taken back, as it looked like a cheap place in a strip mall from the 50’s The décor was definitely old style, booths, tables, low ceilings, old fashioned. But that doesn’t bother us, we go for food! The waitress immediately seated us, handed us menus, and answered all our questions, recommending items, giving the background of the restaurant, and the quality of the meat — Certified Angus Premium Choice. I ordered prime rib, my brother ordered French Dip. She said the meat in the french dip was last nites. which we expected. I ordered the sides of ‘New Potatoes” and iceberg lettuce salad with blue cheese with crumbles. The waitress spent a lot of time chatting with us, very friendly and accommodating, and we were picky and had a lot of questions. The French Dip sandwich with au jus was the best we’ve had in years. almost perfect. The New Potatoes were just OK, my brother replaced them with french fries which were fresh and great. My prime rib was perfectly cooked, very juicy and tender, definitely the best I’ve had in years since moving back from here from California eight years ago. The salad was just iceberg lettuce chopped up, nothing else, with a lot of blue cheese. it needed onions, red lettuce, tomatoes, something else… I don’t recommend the salad or new potatoes, but highly recommend the prime rib and french dip. Will go back soon to try the sirloin steak… The horseradish was home made and hot, very good. And I must repeat, the waitress and service were exceptional — five stars!

Food was ok but for the price I should be saying it was great. The service was awful, I had to ask her for our salad because we could see our food was ready, she had the cook put our steaks back in the warmer. We could tell it was our food because at 7:30 there were only 4 tables in the restaurant. I will not be back.

Early bird specials! Yes you might think they are just for the older crowd but I beg to differ. This place might look a little dated(circa 1970) but that’s all part of the character of the place. The wait staff was great and very attentive. We of course ordered the Prime Rib, which is what they are know for I believe. For around $ 13 we got prime rib, a baked potato, soup and a salad. The soup wasn’t that great but I am biased because I do not really like split pea soup. The salad was basic just some ice burg lettuce with dressing and a few croutons. The prime rib however was delicious! I’ve had other area establishments prime rib and this was one the best I’ve had. There’s a place in Waterloo that’s pretty well known for their prime rib and I really think Jerico’s win’s my vote over that place. So if you want to step back in time and enjoy a great prime rib dinner head over to Jerico’s. If you want a great deal on it head on over between 4:30 — 5:30 to catch the early bird deal. You won’t be disappointed!

My wife and I ate here last night. My work provides me with a corporate dining card for discounts and this place was on it. Yes, it is an Omaha classic, yes, the décor is dated, but that’s part of the experience of a classic Omaha steakhouse. I ordered a prime rib melt, and my wife ordered the smallest portion of prime rib that was on the menu. Both items were delicious. We also tried a cup of the prime rib and potato soup. It might be my favorite soup that I’ve ever had, so try it. Do try the creamy horseradish sauce. It’s delicious. The wait staff that we had did an excellent job. As a whole, it’s a great place to get a prime rib dinner in Omaha. Just don’t walk in expecting some modern hi-end West Omaha restaurant, because it’s not, it’s an Omaha classic.

How can this be rated one of the best prime rib places in Omaha? This place is a disgrace and should be shut down! First of all, the décor is just hideous. Spend some money and update it a little bit and the carpet is DISGUSTING! Secondly, the staff is unfriendly and rude. They spent most of the time just standing around watched TV and playing cell phones. Not once did they come and ask how the food was. When they brought food to the table they just plopped it down. Very unprofessional. Third, the prime rib is BLAND. The rest of the food is sub-par as well. Salad was just pre-chopped ice berg lettuce and a baked potato. For nearly $ 40/person just for dinner(no drinks, etc) this should have BLOWNMEAWAY in food quality. You can tell they are really just letting this place slide. DONOTGOHERE.

Very old-school décor(vinyl chairs, an open kitchen from the 80s) and a geriatric crowd(early bird specials galore!) but the prime rib meals and the low price point makes it worth the trip. Service was great, the bread was hot, and the prime rib was satisfying. No, it was not the best prime rib I’ve ever had — it needed more seasoning and was not tender enough — but there wasn’t anything to really fault the restaurant for either.

I love Jerico’s. The staff is awesome and the old-time atmosphere is great. I’ve been coming here my whole life! They don’t try to fool you with any extra fancy stuff. It’s purely about the good food!

Reading through some of these reviews makes me really sad! As a Lincoln native, whenever my family would come down to Omaha, we would stop by Jerico’s just for their prime rib. Although not perfect, this restaurant offers a lot with a hint of nostalgia. Whenever I walk into Jerico’s I feel immediately welcome with the ambiance that permeates a nostalgic feels of a higher-end diner. I enjoy the mystery that the darkness of the restaurants gives to its guests. The food, although somewhat bland when it comes to the rice side, is cooked perfectly. The prime rib is cooked to order just the way I want it and is incredibly tender. It definitely is one of my top 10 favorite places to have prime rib(although nothing will beat the prime rib I had once in Las Vegas when I was 10… but that’s another story). Jerico’s, although hidden, is a gem of Omaha that my family makes a point to visiting at least once every few months.

The atmosphere inside and outside appearance are nothing special. I do not see how assorted sports photos and assorted photos fit what is essentially a comfortable and relaxed restaurant for everyone looking for a steak or prime rib. Do not let that dissuade you from trying the food here though. The seats are extremely comfortable and the staff is very friendly. We had a medium sized party so it took us a few minutes to get settled in, look over the menu and make our selection. Although there are several meat options on the menu, nearly all of us choose the same thing: the house prime rib. The salad lacked some garnishes I would normally expect like tomatoes, onions our cucumbers. The house dressing is an enjoyable one that you should try unless you only like the more traditional flavor. I did not try the bread but others did and enjoyed it enough to empty all 3 baskets. I split the Knights cut off the prime rib since I was only moderately hungry. I ordered it medium with a side of rice to go along with the sauteed mushrooms we ordered. They hit it just right. The prime rib was cooked to the right doneness and tenderness. I can honestly say it was one of the best I have had in the last 10+ years. That includes visits to Durigan Park in Boston who specialize in prime rib. The cut had the right amount of fat on it and was easily trimmed off. The mushrooms further complimented the flavor and texture of the cut. Never once did we have to ask for a refill on it drinks. Our glasses were always kept filled by the vigilant staff. Both I and my fellow eaters all were very satisfied with both the portion sizes and the food. We all left feeling satisfied and not overly stuffed. It is safe to say that if I want prime rib again when in Omaha, this is where I will be going. I would give them a 3.5 rating if I could. I almost never give a 5(it has to be a stellar experience to get a 5 from me) and so a 4 from me is akin to a 5 from most reviewers. The quality of the food and staff caused me to round up to a 4 instead of down to a 3. When I come back, and I will, there is no doubt what I will order, the prime rib.

As a native Omahan, I’m pretty darn familiar with a good steak. Jerico’s does not offer one. Walking in, the atmosphere is like a classic steakhouse that got stuck in the 80s — drab, dark, and rather dingy. Our appetizer, the stuffed shrimp, came with 5 tiny shrimp the size of a thumb. The stuffing was the worst part about them, though. Advertised as lump crab and cheese, all I was able to taste was garlic, and a whole lot of it. Soup and salad came. The steak and prime rib soup wasn’t too bad, though it was really more of a chili than anything else. The salads, however, were pathetic. Consisting of iceberg lettuce, carrot and onion with croutons and dressing, they looked and tasted like someone had emptied a bag of Dole premixed salad onto the plate. The rolls were pretty acceptable, although they only came with little disposable tubs of margarine, not butter. Finally, the meat arrived. Now, I like prime rib. I’ve eaten at many a steakhouse with incredible prime rib here in Omaha. This, however, was pitiful. My dish came out medium well(when I ordered it medium rare) and was tough. «Fine,» I thought. «I’ll send it back and get a new one.» When the replacement came out, it was medium. I didn’t want to cause any more trouble with the waitstaff(who were already not very personable, but I’ll touch on that later) so I ate it. Blech. The meat was a decent enough cut, but good grief was it badly prepared. The prime rib was dry for all of the liquid sitting on top of it(probably as a result of it not resting enough) and I had to saw at it to cut it. The flavor was almost nonexistent, and even when dipped into the overly salty au jus it lacked pizzazz. If I wanted to saw at flavorless meat, I would have ordered it well done. Fed up with bad food, we obviously did not order dessert. Other than the food, I had some major gripes with the experience. The aforementioned waitstaff acted disaffected and uninterested throughout our entire meal, despite our repeated attempts to be friendly. I drink a lot of water and drink it fast, so I don’t always expect my glass to be full. But we only got one refill on our drinks the entire meal, despite the table being dry after the appetizer. Thank goodness everyone else was so willing to give their water to me, or else I would have choked trying to swallow that turd they advertise as «Omaha’s best prime rib.» But the best is still yet to come. As we were paying our bill, a lady at the table next to us asked for shredded cheese, presumably to put on her entrée. She was told by the server that Jerico’s did not have any shredded cheese, only«cheese slices, the type they put on sandwiches.» Lovely. A restaurant that charges an average of $ 20+ dollars for a meal can’t even provide their customers with actual cheese. Pasteurized«cheese product» slices are one of the worst things to happen to food, and sure enough, when I looked over at other tables, all the cheese was in slice form, melted like bakelite over some rather unappealing-looking meals. Tasty. In short, the price was exorbitant, the food was unacceptable, and the service was lackluster. We came here to try what was hailed as «the best prime rib in Omaha» but left feeling disappointed and cheated. Overall, I would recommend going pretty much to any other steakhouse in the Omaha area — there are a number of good ones just a few blocks west. Jerico’s may be a local establishment, but it is not one you should spend your money at.

Not a meat eater, so YMMV. I had a salad and baked potato – neither were bad or good. They did have a good homemade coconut cream pie though, a little sweet for my tastes. However, plastic table cloths, squishy old lounge chairs and dark dank atmosphere were enough to never want a repeat visit. Maybe if you just want to have a giant slab of meat and sink away into the dark abyss, it may be more for you. But this IS Omaha, there are no shortage of nice/comfortable places for you to get your meat on…

The décor is nothing to write home about. The chairs are awful. If you lean back to support your back, you’re looking at the ceiling. Very uncomfortable. The booths are a little better. The waitress was nice and friendly. Lousy Beer selection. Every one is talking about these great rolls. First of all, you only get half a roll and it’s not that exciting. The potato is not that great. Just an old Russet. There are better potato’s now that you could serve. The steak was not good. I ordered it medium rare and it came out half medium and half well and cold. Grissel down one whole side. Not a good steak. I kept thinking, «Look at all the old people». and I’m 64. Not again.

I came to Omaha hearing from others that the steak is to die for … met up with some local friends, headed for Jerico’s. At first glance, this is a non-descript restaurant in a small shopping strip next to an elevated highway and ritzy car dealerships and office parks. Jerico’s is the eyesore in the neighborhood … I thought things would change when I walked in. We must have walked onto a movie set from the 70’s. Blue vinyl half-moon benches surround the perimeter, shag carpeting on the floor, particle board tables with fake oak veneers … clientele that makes you think that this is the place your grandfather would eat if he wanted a night out with the wife and he just retired from truck driving. I say alot about the décor, because if I wanted dusty atmosphere I would have gone to a dive bar with dart boards and $ 2 PBRs … at least the dive bar has concrete floors. Who puts shag carpeting in a restaurant? You could have filmed a dinner scene from Love Boat here, maybe its the nicest restaurant in the town where they filmed«Road House», maybe they once held a Pimp Playas Ball here. All I can say is man does the décor leave an impression. We nestled into a corner, squeaking into one of those vinyl booths. The menu is simple, the prices aren’t too bad, $ 33 for a kings cut Prime Rib. $ 5 for a kids hamburger, $ 17-$ 30 for your average ribeye or NY Strip. The prices aren’t bad, the service is not bad. The servers and manager, all who came by to make sure we were having a good time, were good people. Its obviously the service that makes people come here. The bread they give you is great, and it seems like they make their own butter. The steaks however, including the Prime Rib, are only par at best. I have not had better at Chili’s or Applebees, but I have had better at a Teds Montana Grill, and its light years from a Smith & Wollensky, Ruth’s Chris, or Morton’s. All in all I would say that this restaurant would not make me a repeat customer. Good service can only go so far if the food isn’t excellent.

I bought $ 50.00 worth of food for 25.00 with social living. Thank goodness. The food sure was not worth $ 50.00. I ordered shrimp wrapped with bacon for a appetizer. I received 4 pieces for $ 12.99. I guess I was a little spoiled because at Texas T-bone in Grand Island Né. You can get the same appetizer with bigger shrimp and more shrimp for $ 5.99. I also got the stuff shrimp which was nothing great, but what do you expect for seafood in Nebraska. My companion had the pork chop which he enjoyed. The salad was just as plain as can be. The service was good but her attitude was lacking. If you really want a good steakhouse, make a trip to Texas T bone in Grand Island Né. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. At Texas T bone you even get a huge salad with your meal, and you choose what you want in your salad. Just google it and you will see what a awesome menu Texas T bone has.

Décor isn’t really knock-out gorgeous, but it’s to be expected of any other Nebraska steakhouse. AMAZING prime rib. And great service. I can usually tell if an establishment is awesome if I don’t have to ask them to refill my water(I get thirsty easily) and my glass was literally never empty. Awesome bread as well. I understand why they brought extra butter though ;) The maiden cut is more than enough for heavy eaters, ladies. I got the Knight’s Cut thinking that the prime rib would have been enough for me, and I literally could not finish everything(I eventually did, but come on– it’s prime rib. You can’t pass that up!) I’d like to go again… it was deliiicious.

Chaunce S. and Modibo S. sum it up quite well. I grew up going to Jerico’s in the 70s and 80s with my family, so I still like the place mostly for nostalgic reasons. I would go with the prime rib, that’s you’re best bet.

Okay, so whattya want? This place is great at steak, lousy at décor. I ordered the filet mignon, medium rare, and it was tender and medium rare. It came with sides of a jus and horseradish. I loved it. Their beer selection blows, however, and the décor is like Scarecow and Mrs. King meets Goodfellas. So, what do you want? Good steak or ambience? p. s. the server was very nice, and the chairs have three inches of padding. Go for the chairs and stay for the steak. Bring Mr. T with you for back up.

Everyone says that Omaha is all about steakhouses, so I figured that when I was there I would check it out(like I checked out a BBQ joint in Kansas City when I was there). I’m only an occasional red meat eater to take everything I have to say with a grain of salt. Jerico’s has apparently been around since ’78, but under the current ownership only since ’89. They make a point of advertising their prime rib, and they’re also known for their $ 13 early bird dinners from 4:30 — 5:30. On the day I went, a Friday, I had had an early light lunch, but I was not terribly hungry. I decided to go to the early bird dinner at Jerico’s. I think I was the youngest partron under 65 in the place — no surprise there. I also felt a little out of place in my shorts. This place is old school, with reddish brown vinyl-uphulstered booths and bar stools, and dark walls. It seemed dark inside compared to the outside light, but once i got inside it was fine — not too dim to read the menu or anything. There are quite a few booths lined up against the walls and a center divider. The kitchen is open — something I didn’t anticipate — and there’s a great bar at the back wall, very low like an old diner. It made me want to come back here for a nice stiff drink later, but I never did. As predicted, I got one of the ten or so early bird specials. I was deciding between a ribeye and a NY strip steak, and the waitress suggested the strip steak with no hesitation. I got it medium. The dinner came with a salad, bowl of soup, baked potato, and roll. I also ordered a glass of the house burgundy for $ 4. It was adequate to the task, but not worth spending much time describing. In fact, that pretty much describes the whole meal. The salad came with an Italian dressing, but it was mostly iceberg lettuce and maybe some bits of carrot. The soup that night was Manhattan clam chowder. Again, I ate the whole thing, thick and red as it was with potatoes and somewhat chewy clams; the thickness seemed every so slightly gummy, though, so there are probably some serious thickeners in there. Again, I ate it all, so it was fine. The waitress brought a three-bowl caddy of softened butter, sour cream, and bacon bits before my entrée came. And then, the steak, much larger than I had anticipated(it was supposed to be 7 oz, and I have no way of judging these things). There’s no way I could have eaten more if I tried. The top was seared in a diamond pattern, and it was done to order. If I were to order this again, I’d do a medium-rare I think, to get it just a little juicier. But it was well trimmed and not too fatty, and not gristly, and chewed pretty easily. A little more seared flavor would have been nice. The potato was also fine, but very plain(what else could anyone expect really?). But the roll was great — a home-baked white roll with substantial crust, and a nice doughy interior that just begged for some butter. The star of the whole show. The service was up to par, too. I was never waiting too long for anything, but the waitress spent more time on her regulars and the larger tables around me. That’s as it should be, if you ask me. I’m sure Omaha residents know of better steakhouses, or can point to errors I made in ordering(like, why not get the prime rib if the place is known for it?), but I was satisfied. Would I go out of my way to come here? No, but I also thought it was a reasonable deal; it would be much better with company.
