This place is not good. We only ate here because we are staying at the hotel with kids and it seemed convenient. We waited about 15 minutes for a table. I ordered the frittata which had no flavor. The potatoes had no flavor either. The only redeemer of the whole dish were the two asparagus sprigs on top. The buffet was okay, with made to order omelets, but cost $ 16.95 per adult. Definitely not worth it! We did not go back at any other time of the day, so lunch or dinner may be better quality.

Ate in the restaurant not the bar. Calamari was delicious w a zesty sauce and tomato caper salad. Ordered lamb shank … Fall off bone tender and really yummy. Also ordered meatloaf and chicken … Both fantastic. Crème brûlée dessert. Yum!

Wow. Brutal. Horrifically slow service, unless you consider 46mins for a solo diner ordering a cheeseburger excessive. At first I was ignored by the server, then finally brought two drinks, neglected straws but bolted before I could ask for one. The food was subpar, appears to be the easy bake options to give a less skilled kitchen staff a chance. Bad food, bad service, but during College World Series there’s few other options that can seat you. Icing on the cake was leaving cash and being asked, «do you need change?» Yes, I do. The service was so terrible I’m intentionally leaving the lowest socially acceptable gratuity, to the penny. I don’t know what it is with Omaha service? The people are generally friendly, but is it just that they haven’t experienced better service themselves, so they don’t know how to deliver it?

Meh. Nothing terrible just no flavor. Thai shrimp Flatbread was boring. And it came recommended. I realize it’s a hotel restaurant in the Midwest but expected a little more.

I’ve taken two stars off for service and one for the quality/taste of the food. First, the server seemed more than annoyed with the party of eight I was with during lunch. With only six other tables occupied and plenty of staff it seemed very odd that it took over five minutes and two requests to get our drinks refilled. He also was not patient or friendly. When we ordered a second app, he disregarded it and went to talk with a coworker for some period of time. Second, the food was okay. I had the 5 Mac and Cheese that lacked so much flavor Kraft is better. The others agreed, their food lacked flavor and didn’t warrant the price. I don’t think I’ll be back.

Anyone that tells you this is a good place to eat is full of crap. This place is so outrageously priced and the food they serve is so lame it should be considered bank robbery. Do yourself a favor and find someplace else better to eat this place is just sad at best. The service is lame. The drinks are outrageously priced and there is just far better places in the city of Omaha to eat.

have eaten here in the past and it has always been very good, especially the service. This time horrible service and horrible food. I ordered roasted chicken with bread pudding . I have seen bigger pigeons. It was also over cooked and the bread pudding was lime a piece of styrofoam, I would have washed it down with my wine but wasn’t able to due to the fact we never saw our waitress and was not able to order a 2nd glass. They should change the style of restaurant to a café.

It’s a hotel bar. It’s never going to be a destination for local Omahans. But as far as hotel bars go, the Liberty Tavern is just fine. Service in the bar area is absolutely top notch. Given that the Hilton Omaha is my second home, the staff here are practically my friends.(Yeah, that’s right Hayleigh, I’m talking to you.) 5+ stars for the fine people who work here. What I don’t recommend here is the food. I’m sorry to say it, but the food here is pretty dreadful, even by hotel bar standards. While I wouldn’t peg it at one star or anything like that, there’s simply too much good food in this area to waste your meal card eating at the Liberty Tavern. Get your lazy, business class ass out of the hotel and go eat some real food somewhere, cowboy. Outdoor seating is a plus. And there’s some cool spaces and other seating options sprinkled throughout the lobby. All in all, a great place to unwind and tie one on at the same time.

After many trips to Omaha, and many visits to this establishment, the best I can say is that’s it’s consistent. It’s never great, but you know what to expect and it’s never bad. The service can be pretty slow, which is surprising how empty this place almost always is(exception: hometown game nights). Looks like they changed up the menu since last time I was here and not, in my opinion, for the better. There are a few things I’ll try on those nights I’m too tired to leave the hotel.. . But if the weather stays nice I just might be spending some time in any one of the many other fine establishments not too far from here.

Stopped in tonight during a blustery snowfall when a Luke Bryan concert was going on at the Ameritrade Center. Crazy loud and chaotic initially but then it quieted down as concert-goers left. I had the kurobuta pork chop and it was nicely done. not spectacular, not terrible — well cooked, good food and good service. All of my fellow diners had nice dishes and seemed happy with what they ordered.

Went here for a work dinner. Clean and pretty quiet here. Went on a weekday night, so it wasn’t crowded – we were seated immediately. It’s in a hotel, so I don’t know that it gets a lot of traffic outside of people in town for conferences or who are staying at the hotel?
Wait staff seems friendly enough. When we sat, we were waiting on a few people, so they gave us some water/drinks. And, then we didn’t see the staff for awhile. And, for not being crowded, it seemed that the time between our getting menus and actually ordering seemed to take a loooong time. The waitress was good about bringing us bread, but they lose a star because it seemed to take awhile also to get the non-appetizer food. And, since I was one of the people at the table who ordered an entrée without an appetizer like a salad, I sat for what felt like a really long time not eating – I ate one of the rolls at the table, but I was at the end of the table, so they were less appealing to me after I saw everyone else at the table put their greasy mitts all over them. There were soups and salads ordered around the table. No major complaints, but again, we waited a long time to get food, so I think you could have put anything in front of us and we would have gone to town. That being said, the flourless chocolate cake was yummo. And, my food – the meatloaf with cheesy potatoes, asparagus and an inordinate amount of onion ring things was cooked well and pretty good, minus the rings. I guess if you are a guest in the hotel, you could do worse. Or, you could walk down the street to better places. I’m not saying I’ll never go again, but I’d think twice before I did, considering the prices there.

Went for breakfast buffet. Food was bland and not so great. Bacon was either undercooked or stale/chewy. Waffles were pre-made so not so tasty. Omelet was good because the chef makes it fresh. Biscuits — is there a term for more than rock-hard. Had to use the gravy to soften them up but that didn’t really work. Service? Not so much. We ended up being the last people there and had to actually ask someone to bring our check. The lights were actually shutting down and it seemed like they had already released some of their staff to go. We were the ONLY2 people left. Once we got the check, we waited for someone to return. Soooo, we had to ask the hostess who had passed by our table several times if she would run the card. «Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t realize that hadn’t been done yet.» I really wanted to believe her but there was NOONE there and my visa was practically sticking out from the table for anyone to swipe. On a positive note, we addressed it with the manager and she gave us 2 coupons for free breakfast tomorrow. But, I didn’t return. Free or not, that food was so bad.

Came here after hearing that Warren Buffett likes to eat here once in a while. When he does come, he eats in this really fancy room in the back. The restaurant also has a patio area, though this might be more for the bar instead. The food here seems to be hit and miss. Chicken strips — some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Nice big moist pieces, piping hot. Great for sharing as there are plenty of pieces. Served with fries which were decent but unremarkable. Filet mignon — this is where the restaurant really dropped the ball. It tasted felt like regular steak. I actually had to check to see if I didn’t get the wrong cut. Even though I asked for it rare, it showed up at least medium. Definitely too dry for my liking. The asparagus(added as an option) was cooked quite well though. 4 stars for the chicken, 2 for the beef.

Ugh, the meal I had here was so bad, writing this review makes me feel like I’m reliving it. So we were desperate to find a good place for Thanksgiving dinner because we are lonely transplants. We hear LT had a great Thanksgiving buffet, OR you can order off the regular menu and we like options. So, we go, put our names in and told them we would opt for the regular menu because the buffet was closing down at 7:30. We figured since it was 7 pm we didn’t want to scrape the bottoms of the chafing dishes for that one piece of moist turkey. Well, at 7:45 I reminded them we were waiting and oops! They didn’t have us down on the list and they were so sorry. Arg. So we sit in a massive booth and I ordered a chicken pocket thing and mac and cheese which sounded lovely. The food was bad. That’s all there is to it. Just bad. Oversalted, no real flavor other than these pervasive chicken soup-ness which is not only weird but gross. ESPECIALLY in mac and cheese. I mean, it’s supposed to taste like cheese. The saving grace was that the waitress covertly suggested that we take a peek at the remaining desserts on the buffet table and help ourselves, since it was Thanksgiving and all. That was so nice! Too bad I had lost my appetite.

I was NOT thankful for their Thanksgiving dinner. The only thing worse than the food was what they charged for it. The $ 29 a plate was ridiculous for what we got. My girlfriend and I were extremely disappointed and will never go back. ALL the meat was cold and the cocktail shrimp was rubbery. The carrot cake was stale like it had been sitting out all day. We had to make reservations… for what? There was a handful of people there. The wait staff was pleasant and helpful. Other than that, there wasn’t anything good that came out of that dinner. Total waste of money and time.

RESERVATIONSFORTHISPLACE ?? So we were looking for a place to sneak away for coctails and leave the kids at home. there was absolutely NOPLACEOPEN in Omaha except this one! and i’m still laughing right now lol. We first called and the hostess was telling us that she had openings 2 hours later but then after 1 hr we called to see if anyone had canceled and the new hostess was just like«Come on in it’s empty» I explained that we had on jeans and boots and she was like«umm thats totally fine» I had the WORSTPRIMERIB Dinner Ever to Exist. The other dish… hmm I’m not sure what it was supposed to do but it looked like some Chicken whipped into some baby food. The flavors were HORRIBLE! The only good thing that we got out of our $ 150 bill was a Bottle of Wine, Coffee and the FREE Crème Brulle … we will NOT be going back. there are other fab places that are within walking distance. just hope that they are open on Christmas day next time

Wow — I haven’t been this disappointed in a meal in a long time. The only thing saving this from a one star review is that their Sunday/Holiday brunch is outstanding. Note to self — ONLY go here for brunch! Went with four other people before a concert. The restaurant was about half full and I thought it was a bad sign that no one had any food in front of them. We ordered and then we proceeded to wait — and wait. After about 15 minutes the salads finally came out. Over 30 minutes after that the entrees arrived. We were served flavorless prime rib, overcooked dry meatloaf with flavorless mashed potatoes, overcooked lobster cakes and a bizarre cheese plate that included«assorted dried fruits» which tuned out to be a half of a cup of raisins with a few specs of dried cranberry! Needless to say we will never return here for dinner.

Went here for a lunch occasion, and I can honestly say that I liked the place. The lunch menu features a decent assortment of «comfort» foods(meatloaf, salads, etc.) I ordered the turkey & brie sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was excellent, as were the fries(esp with a side of ranch dressing). Our server, Eric, was attentive as well, but not overly hovering around the table. Great place to go when going to a game or other event at the Qwest Center.

We were hanging out at the Liberty Tavern lounge and ordered some food. I too was initially impressed by the menu as I was so hungry I couldn’t decide what to get, and upon reading the menu I started salivating immediately. Unfortunately the food didn’t arrive piping hot like I like, and then it took a while again to get the mayo for my burger. Don’t get me wrong, our server was awesome. I just probably should have had drinks in the lobby and moved into the restaurant to eat. The food was good though, and I was envious of my husband’s reuben… though the burger was just fine, and the sweet potato fries would have been great if they’d been warm. I’d probably try Liberty again, but it won’t be until I can forget about the wicked stomach cramps I got later in the night. Even despite that, the food was good and the drink prices were more than fair.
