After having a bad experience with the lamb the owner kindly sent me a message encouraging me to come back and try something different. The food was absolutely delicious and the quality that I was expecting my first time. It is a shame that M’s is closed for now because of the fire but hopefully they get back up and running because their food is delicious.

I am completely sad this restaurant had a devastating fire. I have eaten here for 30 years and always went for the Vegetarian Lavosh. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the M’s employees and the owners. I can’t wait to dine with you again!

Def one of the best restaurants in Omaha ! And THE. Best in the old Market. From the food, beverage selection to the service. M’s did not disappoint. To the owners and employees of Ms. I’m so sorry for your loss. This is s huge loss to Omaha. I’m thankful your employees got everyone out before the explosion /fire. I’m hoping one day soon you will rebuild. We LOVE M’s. Don’t change a Thing. God bless you all.

Gonna have to make an Omaha Lahvosh this weekend, in your honor. Glad nobody was hurt.

Cool spot, you feel cool eating there. But the food was sub pair. We got the lavash and root pot pie and both were bland and kinda gross. The person I went with said the food use to be good. The lavash was basically Big Fred’s pizza(2 inches of cheese). The root pot pie was a big bowl of not so roasted carrots chunks in a buttery sauce. Cool place to go and drink. Ugh

M’s pub has been around for some years, but I’ve only ever been a few times. The first time I went was on a cold December night and the restaurant was packed and the servers were hustling. I was with my brother. He ordered a warm duck salad and I had the tuna melt. The atmosphere was great and it was warm inside. We sat at the bar and we’re given friendly service from the bartender. Our food was very good, but unfortunately we had to eat fast because we were on our way to see a show at the Orpheum. My first experience was great at M’s. However, the past two times I have eaten there my experience has not been as good. The food was rather mediocre and service was so-so. The second time I ate there I thought maybe they were having an off day, but after going back and having another disappointing meal I don’t think I’ll be going back. Perhaps M’s was great before, but it seems that the quality has declined in more recent years.

A large group of girls and I went to M’s last night for my friends’ birthday dinner and we all had a great time. The food, drinks and service was fantastic and everyone was extremely happy with their choices for dinner. We all had a variation of dishes — I had the Thai Chicken Salad and the girls next to me had the Indian Lamb Satay and the salmon special(stuffed with a pesto sauce on top of basmati rice). We all had the opportunity to try each others’ and everything was fantastic! The salmon was incredible! If you have the chance to dine here before December 2nd, I highly recommend trying something off of the entrée specials available during this time. This is where the salmon was as well as another girls’ pasta dish. I’ve been to M’s quite a few times and have never been disappointed. There are a wonderful variety of salads and you MUST try the lavosh! Also, we were extremely appreciative of the management letting us bring in our own cupcakes for our friends’ birthday. A lot of restaurants would not allow this or would have to add on a special charge, but M’s was more than accommodating and made it a very pleasurable experience for us. Thank you!

Great dining experience and friendly staff. I swung in for a quick lunch at the bar and was not disappointed. A little pricier but the portions are generous and the quality was great. Definitely a great spot for a quick lunch stop in or for dinner. I followed the server’s recommendation and had the lamb burger with their asparagus bisque. Both were delicious. I had the lamb burger medium. I recommend their salmon dip found on the starter menu. This was the real show stealer, which was large enough to share with several or could be a meal on its own. It’s made with smoked salmon and is formed into almost a pub cheese and served with flatbread, veggies and a great tzatziki sauce. Definitely will be returning.

Crab cakes are on point! My husband and I were in Omaha for a wedding. We checked in our hotel late at night and room service was no longer available so we decided to head across the street to the bar areas. M’s pub was the only bar open still serving food at 12am. My husband got the crab cakes and I ordered a Ruben. OMG awesome awesome food! Our waitress was very friendly and our experience was just over all a great one. We wound up going back two nights later after the wedding was over with to party with the wedding party. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms and oh yes they were amazing as well.

Great wine selection by the glass(I had their new red blend option– Red Splash), delicious homemade soup that is a must on a cold, rainy day like today, and the tuna melt. It’s not my favorite tuna melt, but it was still really good. I’ll be making a comeback next time I’m in Omaha.

I have heard so much about this restaurant and it definitely lived up to its reputation. The atmosphere is very inviting and has a classy, uptown feel. I like how it is well lit around the tables but they also have softer light around the tables. Everything is finished wood, which adds to the lovely experience. We had complimentary bread before we ordered, which is definitely off to a good start in my book. My friends and I sat at a round table that was perfect for facilitating conversation and fun memories. It was moderately lively, but not too loud with the crowd inside. I ordered Thai Lahvosh and it was FABULOUS! You can eat the whole thing and not feel overly full because of the cracker crust! It has grilled chicken, tomatoes, scallions, peanuts, basil, cilantro and thai pepper sauce all for $ 12.95. Yum. My friends and I finished the night off with Ted and Wally’s ice cream. M’s is located in downtown, offering many places to window shop.

After a long flight my family decided on M’s pub for lunch. Since we were a rather large party the staff triaged us by splitting the group over a few tables. This was no problem for me and I thought it helped with the service since each table had their own waiter/waitress. I agree with the one Unilocaler that the menu was a little scattered with not one specific focus. I was pretty hungry from the plane ride and it was late afternoon so I went with the Omaha grill sandwich. This had roast beef, cheese, and onions on panini bread. The sandwiches were typical bar sandwiches. They had lots of meat. I liked that the roast beef wasn’t cold cuts but rather cuts of the roast. My girlfriend was disappointed with the Florentine Lahvosh though. The description made you think you were getting a good helping of leaf spinach and chunks of tomatoes. However, the tomato and spinach were diced leaving you with a lack of flavor that made it feel like you were eating a cracker with a lot of cheese. They did have a wide range of craft beers though and the biscuits were excellent. The atmosphere was very nice in an old European café feel. I think that some of the items were a bit high priced for what you got. The sandwiches at $ 10 seemed reasonable. However, an extra $ 2 to upgrade the side salad to a Caesar side salad seemed a bit over priced. If you’re in Omaha M’s is decent spot to pop into for lunch or a drink. I’m regretting not ordering the carrot hot dog after seeing the pics on Unilocal

Service was good, but the menu was limited in terms of full portion entrees. The daily specials were pretty pricey, so I went with the menu. The NY steak for $ 22 was ok. The small side salad was served in the same plate as the steak and potatoes. The steak was pretty tough, but for $ 22 I was not expecting a high quality cut. I could have gotten about the same @ Outback or similar chain. I think if you stick to the small plates, should be ok.

I was here in Omaha for work. So, 1of the girls I was working with knew of this place. Strangely enough I have a friend that lives in Scottsdale that also knows this place and said it was great! I was so glad that we came here. When the 2 of us arrived we met up with Cindy. She is from Denver, so she met us there. We sat at the Bar. It was a Saturday night. So we were lucky that she was already there and secured us a spot. It is decorated beautifully inside. Yes, I took Pictures. The Bartenders were great, very attentive and shared the duties, which made sure everyone was taken care of at all times. There was a huge bouquet of flowers in the middle of the Bar that I just found to be amazing and colorful, and just the right touch. We each ordered something different and it was all wonderful! I got a cup of soup that was hot, fresh, and delish! Then I got a Lamb Burger(something I had never tried Before) with a small side salad. Amazing!!! The salad was dark lettuce and no spines in it! Thank you, some one knows the proper way to make a salad. Cindy got Lavosh Pizza, and Nancy got a Pasta dish. We all loved it! There were 3 people sitting next to us and they had a Salad with Ahi Tuna on top. It was huge. They also said it was delicious! There was a lot of really cool food on the menu that you just do not see in other places. Like a Carrot Dog, great for vegetarians. The bottom line is, Food is great, the Service is great, and it is decorated beautifully. I would come here again any day.

Got a tip to go try the Carrot dog at M’s Pub, but we had just ate lunch about an hour before! Oh well we are on vacation it’s ok to have a mid day snack and beer on a beautiful patio right, And you might as well get a Carrot Dog while your at it! Yes it’s like a Carrot(grilled or boiled) taking place of a Hot dog on a bun with relish, mustard, ect. You might think that doesn’t even sound that good, but dang it was quite light and delicious! We had them split to dog for us and then it also came with a sizable side salad, for the same price as one carrot dog, they didn’t have to do that and my Brickwater pale went down smooth on a beautiful afternoon on M’s patio! The staff was nice, The inside was beautiful, the bar looked great, the bathrooms were down a really cool hall and were also rad! We kept talking about going back to M’s while in Omaha, but we never made it back! But we will at some point! If you have a Carrot Dog for under 7bucks that taste that good… Imagine what else might be up their sleeves!

I am updating my review as my more recent visit was very impressive. Service was attentive. right on point and fabulous. we started with an app. shrimp bake with butter and cheese in an escargot dish.(yummy) we tried both of the soups one was a cold mango soup and was amazing the clam chowder was ok. Now for the change. I had the surf and turf with basmati and it was fabulous. the shrimp was cooked perfectly tender and well seasoned. the steak was seasoned very well. very tender. My wife had the thai lavosh and it was as perfect as the dish can be with each element fresh and amazing. I am now a fan and am looking forward to going back again. :)

Ate here on our one night in Omaha. It was really good! We shared the smoked salmon mousseline app and the Reuben sandwich. Perfect amount of food for us! Loved the atmosphere; contemporary. The place was busy on a Friday night. Unilocal didn’t steer us wrong!

Pretty disappointed with this place. I had high hopes considering the Unilocal rating and reviews. We came on a busy night(Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood concert) and the only thing available was the bar, which was fine. But prior to seating at the bar, I had an annoying convo with the host. The host wasn’t really friendly or helpful; he seemed flustered and preoccupied. When I asked him whether the small table behind the bar was available, he rudely said everything was booked. However, the table was still unoccupied when we left. I ordered their New York Steak and it was really sub par. Steak was cooked well, but it lacked flavor. It was also too chewy. The mash potatoes were delicious though. Restaurant itself was small and cramp, wish we went elsewhere.

You have not experienced Omaha if you haven’t experienced M’s Pub. M’s has, for decades, been the go-to culinary war horse in the Old Market, where patrons can always rely on a great afternoon or evening out. There’s something for everybody at M’s, whether you are a strict Vegan or a bloodthirsty carnivore. And the menu caters to budgets of any size. There’s always a fun crowd living it up at M’s, with a mood that is festive enough for a party, yet intimate enough for a romantic date night. It’s an interesting menu, to say the least. For example, Vegans and vegetarians alike rave about the Carrot Dog. From the menu, it’s a marinated and grilled carrot served on a whole wheat hoagie with lettuce, tomato, relish, stone ground mustard and sauerkraut. I must say I was really skeptical when I first heard about it. For one, I loathe cooked carrots. And secondly, I mean, c’mon — a carrot in a bun for $ 6.50? But it’s actually delicious, and with the small salad that accompanies it, it’s a decent amount of food — great value for your money. M’s Lahvosh is also very popular and among my more favorite dishes. An Armenian pizza of sorts, M’s offers at least eight different varieties. I pretty much like them all, so it’s hard to choose, but I would say the most unique is the Thai version, made with grilled chicken, tomatoes, scallions, peanuts, basil, cilantro and Thai pepper sauce. If you’re like me and you don’t live in the area and have never eaten a whole artichoke, definitely try this when you come to M’s. Cooked to utter perfection and served with drawn butter, lemon basil aioli and curried mayonnaise, each flower bud you pick off and eat is a little slice of heaven. As someone who was born in NYC and recently moved out of a heavily Italian area of Brooklyn, I really enjoy M’s hot Italian sandwich when I’m spending a week in Omaha. It’s a slightly more gourmet version of a classic Italian sub, made with pepperoni, capicola, salami and provolone on herb toasted sourdough, and served with warm tomato-basil dipping sauce. It’s delicious and makes me feel like I’m right at home. The only miss I’ve had here recently was a special pork cheek manicotti. I’m not a huge manicotti fan to begin with, but it sounded interesting. But like most manicotti, the ricotta was just too overwhelming for the taste of the pork cheek to come through, and the tomato sauce didn’t hold up too well, either. But truth be told, my favorite reason to come to M’s is the cocktails and the service at the bar. The bartenders here are very friendly and excel at their trade. The bar sits right in the middle of all the action and is a great place to people watch, especially if you’re like me and dine alone from time to time. Without a doubt, Omaha would not be Omaha, and the Old Market wouldn’t be nearly as charming if it weren’t anchored down by M’s Pub. M’s will always be in the rotation when I am working out of Omaha, and I always look forward to coming back for more.

Always fantastic! We had a really amazing dinner at M’s last night. This is probably the 100th amazing dinner I’ve had there over the last 20 years. I can’t believe this is my first review. Talk about making them work for it. This place is so consistently lovely. These days it seems like the food and service quality is all about the ‘turnover’ but at Ms it never seems to matter. The service is always great and the food is always amazing. Last night we had the escargot, shrimp scampi, Thai chicken flatbread, tuna melt, Cobb salad, surf and turf. .hmmm, wine, beer and great company. Couldn’t have been better!
