Really had good time here. Even though it was busy they didnt miss a thing. Server was polite and knowledgeable. The food was really good. Best fish i had in long time. Huge portions. My husband had a burger and it had great flavor. My mother in law had the Reuben Sandwich and she really liked it. Prices are a bit high but good porrtions make up for that. I ordered a shot of Patron. Bad idea. $ 12 for a small shot. I realize that drink can be expensive but this is ridiculous. My meal was $ 15 so this shot price was unbelievable.

The food was good and our server was great. In fact, she’s the only reason I’m not writing a one start review. As for the rest of the staff… well let’s just say treating us as an imposition is the politest way to describe their attitudes. Also, be sure you do not order the egg roll appetizer unless you’re wanting to spend $ 5 per egg roll. Seriously. It was $ 10 for two(2) egg rolls. When I asked the manager he rather snottily replied with some variation of ‘yep sorry you get two that’s it.’ To be clear, these were tiny egg rolls too, like ring finger size.

Went here with some co-workers for happy hour after work. I was a little disappointed we didn’t get to sit at a tap booth but those require a reservation in advance which is understandable. The atmosphere is like that of a chain restaurant like TGIF but less the glitzy memorabilia and more tasteful beer related decoration. Their happy hour deals seemed very reasonable on beers, I’m not sure if the food was as good a valid though. I had the lazy monk which was a lighter Belgian, with really nice malty notes. Easy drinking at 20IBU and again a great price for about hour. Then I ordered the happy hour pizza and was decidedly unimpressed. I found it to be lacking in sauce and strangely reminiscent of little Caesars, which is it something I would ever want to pair with quality beer. I tried the brown ale and while it was well loved by everyone else in my party it was a little on the sweet side for me. I also had the saison which was in my opinion a stumble. I think there were too many flavor notes the beer was attempting to hit which made for a confusing final product. Our server was particularly friendly and rather relived to have us. I believe we were her fist table not in town for the Taylor swift concert and our party was thus devoid of loud 12 year old girls. A coworker got the BBQ pork sandwich, seemed to be a higher food quality time than the pizza Service 8⁄10 Beer 6.5÷10 Pizza 2.5÷10 Atmosphere 5.5÷10 Would return? Probably for another work related happy hour. Happy hour prices for beer make it worthwhile. Will try a non-pizza food item next time.

There is a lot of dislike for this restaurant and a lot of love for Upstream, but I have to say, the food at Rock Bottom is better. There’s a certain way you have to dine at RB: Skip the host stand, which seems to invite complaints anyway, and seat yourself at the bar. The bartenders are efficient and almost always around, unlike the servers I have experienced while sitting elsewhere. Seriously, every server seems to disappear at some point in time if you sit elsewhere. Don’t expect much personality, though, from my experience. Next, be sure to go during Happy Hour. Do order the jalapeño breadsticks. I’ve had a few other things on the HH menu, but those breadsticks were memorable(or maybe I just have a soft spot for bread and cheese). Also consider ordering a salad if you are a salad lover. The portions on those are great, and the Cobb I had was the best I have had in a long, long while. Do try their brews. I usually stick with the beer that has Molly in the name, Molly Brown I think? The beers here are not as good as Upstream, but they aren’t terrible either. Finally, bring cash to pay. It’s always nice to have the freedom to just leave instead of waiting on someone to process your card. I don’t know what it is about the service here, but like I said, the servers seem to disappear. Maybe they are just really busy with other tables? If Upstream and Rock Bottom were to have a beer/food lovechild, I would dine there every weekend, but you can’t always get what you want. On the plus side, RB is usually less crowded, cheaper, and has better food than its competitor, so I will continue popping in during Happy Hour every once in a while.

My wife and i stopped there today for a early dinner. We started off with the crab and asiago dip, which was pretty good. I ordered a long Island ice tea which had way to much sour in it. For my main course, I ordered the Cuban sandwich which was not good at all. They deep fried it and that is all I could taste was the oil and not so good beer batter. I wish Jackson St or M’s Pub would of been open today instead of stopping here. They really could of done a better job cleaning the place also.

First of all, they were very accommodating for our walk-in group of 13. The servers and hostess were all very nice. The food took a minute to come out, but that’s expected with such a large group. My «side» salad(needed more dressing but) was the size of a dinner salad for only $ 3.95. The steak blt sliders were great but the sauce was forgotten. All-in-all a very pleasant experience.

I loved the Rock Bottom Brewery. The service was excellent, the ambiance was fantastic. The décor made you feel very welcomed from the huge wooden entry doors to the open rafters and open beautiful brick walls. The service was excellent and very welcoming. It made me feel like they had known me for years. The food was magnificent, fresh, the presentation was fantastic and to top it off the bison burger was fabulous. The topping was refreshing with a mix of onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and a wonderful addition of some spice. Overall I would love to come back in the winter and have another chance to enjoy this wonderful place. Thank you for an excellent lunch experience.

The service is a little slow, there wasn’t a hostess for the first 5 minutes so I just sat at the bar. Then I sat there for another 5 minutes before the bartender came back… But after that first interaction the bartender was pretty attentive. I ordered the BBQ chicken salad with a couple of modifications and she was accommodating. It was a huge portion for the price I paid, it was full of moist chicken, and so flavorful. Really good for a chain restaurant! I like how the manager goes around and speaks to every customer individually to see how their experience went, that makes a difference.

I rarely dine at chains, so I definitely gave my dining companion a suspicious glance when he suggested Rock Bottom. Get the kale and smoked tomato salad! It was fantastic and I can’t wait to try to recreate it at home. Lots of kale tossed in a spicy caesar dressing and then topped with cheddar, tomatoes and black beans. They adorably arranged blue corn tortilla chips around the entire salad. Their current IPA is tasty and got me tipsy. Parking isn’t exactly plentiful, but you’ll always find a spot… Eventually. Follow up your meal by taking in the surrounding beauty of downtown Omaha :)

Food was good but service lacked! I realize that it was a busy night but he wanted to take our order immediately after sitting for ten minutes for him even to introduce himself. The food had great flavor but didn’t feel like staying long because our waiter checked on us once then brought our check! I had the Mac n chicken great flavor.

The Rock Bottom never fails to disappoint. The service is always slow, the food average at best, and the experience exasperating.

I WAS(past tense) a loyal RB patron. Not now, we won’t be back. My wife and I, and our 8-month-old son, walked in at 5:30 on a Saturday night. It was to be our meal before the Creighton basketball game. There were multiple open tables. But, because we had a baby and needed a high chair, we were told it would be a 30 minute wait. OPENTABLES, 30MINUTEWAIT. I won’t say more. Old Chicago got my business tonight, and RB won’t be getting my business in the future. SEEYA.

The food was not good. I had the chicken bruschetta. It was very gross. The chicken was rubbery in texture and pink in some areas. The broccoli was so badly burnt that all I could taste was char. In hindsight, I should’ve sent it back. I would not recommend eating here. However, I would recommend the beer. The IPA and the brown ale were delightful. If I had only come to drink, this would’ve gotten 5 stars.

I went here for a girls’ night on a Saturday night. There were 8 of us and we were able to get right in with our reservation(always a plus). We were seated at one of the tap tables which seemed like a really cool concept even though we did not use it. This restaurant has a great atmosphere — lots of copper and heavy wood. The service was very friendly and efficient. Our waitress was very accommodating of our large group of 8 and handled our orders and splitting our checks very well. My meal however was disappointing. My friend and I both ordered the Makers Mark Burger(Maker’s Mark bourbon glaze, gorgonzola cheese, and crispy onion straws) because it sounded like a great combination of interesting flavors. I ordered my burger medium and she ordered her’s medium rare — both burgers came out well done. I could live with that but the burger also lacked flavor and was super salty. The glaze was served on the side and did not have much noticeable flavor other than saltiness. The fries were pretty good, though. Someone ordered the jalapeño pretzel sticks and they were very good. Overall this place is just ok. Some of their food is good(I still really enjoy their mac ‘n cheese) but the prices are high for what can be hit-or-miss food. They do have good beer and their other drink prices are pretty reasonable for downtown(my Jameson was around $ 5). As I mentioned before, I usually end up here at least once a year but it is hard to go out of my way when there are so many consistently great restaurants in this area.

Service was good but the food was better. Had the bourbonzola Rib-eye the first night, and it was so good I came back for a burger the next night. I’m from out of town. Maybe it’s the Omaha steaks that are so great, but I would give the meat very high marks. Perfectly cooked medium rare on the steak and medium on the burger. In other words, if want a good burger or steak at a brewery in Omaha… don’t go to Upstream, go to the Rock Bottom brewery.

Not a bad spot to pop into for some pub grub and a pint. The restaurant is large, almost cavernous. In the middle of it all is a wrap-around copper top bar. Their claim to fame is being a brew pub like, say, the Upstream. I suppose they pull it off, but in more of watered down, large chain sort of a way. It seems the aim of Rock Bottom is to basically give you a completely average«trendy» dining experience. Let’s just call it Spaghetti Works for adults. The IPA: Neither too hoppy nor bitter. Sure. Fine. The music: ‘80s hip, but was played at a very respectable volume. Mmmhmm. Service: Nice and friendly. OK. Ambiance: Comfortable and safe. Other patrons: Average Joes and Janes.

OK, for a chain restaurant this is actually a very cool place to come eat. I’ve been here several times and have yet to be disappointed. It’s in a great location, they have a nice outside patio, it’s not expensive, and they have their own beer. Sounds like a winning combo to me. Great atmosphere inside surrounding the circular bar in the middle. Lots of nice décor and signs, mostly advertising their different brews. Service has always been nice and helpful. Food in my opnion has always been very good. Their burgers are awesome. Some of the best I’ve had in Omaha. And that’s coming from a chain restaurant. Their burger with the egg on top is fantastic as well as the Roadhouse burger. Their beers are pretty great as well. Their brewery is in Denver but they are Rock Bottom’s own brews. They have a range of beers from IPAs to Stouts, to ciders. They’re all pretty decent in my opinion. I wouldn’t buy a six pack but they’re worth trying. Overall, I think it’s a great place in the Old Market to stop and have some food. Especially if you don’t want to stop at some of the more ecclectic, expensive choices. And the patio/deck is awesome.

We capped our evening out with a stop in at Rock Bottom. The beer selection looked pretty good, and I settled on their Dark Munich lager, which tasted remarkably close to the traditional dunkles I have had when in Nuremberg — it’s a solid drinker, but not so heavy /overpowering that you can’t have several of them. While I enjoyed our time at Rock Bottom, I’m afraid that it was because were at the end of our evening, I can’t think of anything remarkable about the place — we ordered beer, drank them, and left. I read elsewhere that this is a chain, so perhaps there is that. This is the tenth of a series of ~13 reviews about a weekend getaway in Omaha.

Two visits and I’m okay with the beer. The Kolsch and Scottish ale are both nice beers. Others are okay as well… I’ve had the sampler and really didn’t dislike anything. The problem hear is service without snap. Hire some people who want to serve. Who LOVE to serve. There are good bartenders here… I’ve seen two… but the rest are not so good. Slow to spot new customers. And the hostess was very confusing when she told us we could not use a high-top table for drinks only. It was almost 1030 pm and she had few diners… so the bar got PACKED because you could not sit down to drink. This place is called a brewery… so whatever seating policy she was trying to explain needs to change.
