Some of the best taro bubble tea«smoothie» I’ve ever had. Sad to see they’re closed but the Asian lady that operated the place was terrifyingly mean. I only kept going there cause the bubble tea was so good.

This is an odd little sushi and bubble tea shopped tucked in a corner bay at Westroads Mall. Its decidedly mom and pop feel makes it seem out of place at chain-centric Westroads, but a nice surprise nonetheless. Now I couldn’t image ever having a reason to order sushi here, as the options are slim and the ingredients look, well, unappealing(lots of imitation crab here, folks). But I must say their bubble tea is always a super fun way to cool down from mall mêlée. Still, the tea ain’t cheap. For $ 4+ you only get around 12 oz. of that milky, sugary goodness. And apparently Zales next door is expanding, forcing Penguin Café to close their doors at the end of March. Hopefully they’ll be able to relocate.

Bought a taro bubble tea. Expensive and the bubble tea did not taste good at all. The bubble tea had no taste and was not sweet.

This is a pleasant surprise to Westroads… or Omaha in general, depending on how you look at it. This place is a sushi«bar» with coffee or tea type drinks. Owned by an asian couple and located on a corner across from abercrombie and a few steps down from scooter’s. I tried the original milk tea flavor with the pearls. The milktea itself was really sweet while the pearls were bland. You could tell the pearls were previously frozen because as you chew into the balls the core of the pearl was definitely a harder texture than the outside of it. Overall, It hit the spot and quenched my thirst. Unfortunately, i feel like I need to be tested for diabetes now. This place is infinitely better than Tea Smith and if ever in the mood I’ll probably come here for all my milktea needs(until I can find something better in omaha).
