Nice friendly neighborhood bar. $ 2.50 taco or burgers on Sunday. Cold beer. Friendly staff.

So our experience here was both good and bad. For starters it was awesome because it was a cozy little bar across the street from our hotel. Second the place got packed last night and there were two bartenderesses(2 people that both poured drinks, served and bused tables). They did a great job considering. Third, we ordered nachos and wings and the nachos were really good. Now the not so good. We came in maybe 10 mins before the table next to us and our server took their order for food after us but that table was done eating before we even got our food!!! We knew they either forgot to put our order in or forgot food sitting somewhere. Nachos came maybe 40 mins after we ordered and were hit. Wings came 5 mins later and were under sauced and cold. You could look at the plate and see they had been sitting for awhile. Overall, I won’t knock it way down because the girls working there busted their ass and were friendly going about it. Something needs to be done in the kitchen obviously. We even had Mr. Pipeline himself busing empty bottles from our table. Decent place, better than having to sit at DJs dugout for a $ 12 burger.

I’ve been going here for so many years I can’t count. I would consider myself a regular. It’s never been consistent in service but food has always been average. Nothing special other than fact that $ 1.50 cheeseburger was a great deal! Then, try changed the price to $ 2.50. Great. Still a good deal. They also added tacos. The tacos were really good — esp the fried ones. They had plenty of meat and toppings. They actually best the burgers! So recently went back for my Sunday burger and taco. Decided on simply a taco and then was planning to get another one after a drink. However, the taco had less meat than any taco I’ve seen(from any restaurant) including them! The server never really came around. Was at our table twice then a final and third time when we had to beg for a check after we were plenty done with our food. I had never seen this server so assume she was new but that didn’t stop her from acting like she had been there her entire life. I politely asked them about the size of their burgers and tacos — which were both much smaller than I and my friends have ever seen. She basically told me I was wrong and denied any changes had occurred. I was tempted to pull our my phone to show pictures(I’m one of those ppl yes) but I knew it wouldn’t make a difference. She was set in lieing to us which really left a sour taste in my mouth. Honestly I would have gladly come back and gave them my business but probably stuck with fries and drinks. Now, nope. I can’t stand when people do shit like this — raise their price then give you less and DENY it. Last straw. Good luck to the business. The owner, Jimmy, is usually pleasant to speak to when he isn’t running around with his head cut off. ;)

Horrible staff, very dramatic and make all of their problems known in front of customers. Not worth the deals.

Great local watering hole. Is there a group of regular day drinkers? Yep — and that’s always a plus in my book. I was in the area on a Thursday afternoon with an hour to kill, I decided to stop in. Decent selection of taps — mostly domestic but I was happy with my Goose Island IPA($ 3.75). You can sit at the bar and listen to the locals jaw with each other or you can hide away in a booth in the corner. Food is available as well. Nothing fancy, just your typical pub grub. They seem to be doing some renovations to the exterior of the building, namely the giant patio/smoking deck. The Pipeline could definitely use it, as it’s showing its age in more than a few places.

They have surprisingly delicious food! The creamy jalapeño chicken soup is reason enough to come… it’s so thick and hearty you could stand your spoon in it, and they don’t skimp on the heat! Seriously, it makes me sweat like an unholy woman in a holy building. ;) The crinkle cut fries are also very good. I’ve eaten there 4 or 5 times, and the food has never disappointed. The drinks, on the other hand, are horrible. My receipt will say a name brand liquor, but it sure tastes like well! It’s cheap enough, though, and there’s always beer!

Good place to grab a bite and watch a game. No complaints except the place is definitely showing its age.

This bar is amazing! The staff are fast and friendly. The mixed drinks are strong and the specials are always a great deal. $ 1 draws on Wednesday is my fav! Starts at 4pm — 2:00 am. The food is also stellar! Nothing on the menu tastes like«bar food». This place has possibly the best burger in town IMHO… Add in the huge deck and convenient location… You can’t go wrong!

Deep drinks, fabulous patty melts, lots of TV, music, darts, lovely tenders etc, and then there is Jimmy. This man is a mensch! No better out there. Don’t miss the annual TuesPM before Thanksgiving. Great drink specials with a happy crowd. One night the bartender took us into the kitchen for some snacks. How do you beat that? We saw the original equipment from Mr. Steak!!!

I stopped in a couple of months ago to watch the Bears/Packers game… FOOD: I sat at the bar, and ordered the coconut flour chicken tenders. They were okay; the portion was large(about 5 – 6 tenders). They have typical bar food available, and I’m sure everything else on the menu is fine. SERVICE: The bartenders were very friendly. When it got closer to game time, I asked a bartender if they could change the channel in front of me, and they did it quickly. I also asked if they could put the game on the speakers instead of music, and they did that as well. There are plenty of smaller TV’s lined up above the bar area, perfect for sitting and drinking. There are also other TV’s spread out throughout the bar; 2 larger TV’s, and smaller ones mounted high up. The reason I love this bar is the owner, Jimmy. You can tell that he is just a really great guy; he was walking around and talking to all the customers. He came up to me, and asked me which team I was rooting for(Da Bears!), and proceeded to point out one of his former employees who was there wearing a Packer’s jersey, and he was poking fun at her. You could sense how great he gets along with the workers(current and past). He stopped by several times more, and really made me feel comfortable! VERDICT: I would love to go back. There are a lot of regulars, and it seems like a really fun place to hang out. Not too dive-like, but also not fancy. It was very clean inside, and the employees were so friendly. There is also a patio for nice weathered days.

I have driven by this place for years and never stopped in until last week when we decided to do a Unilocal wing night. Every Monday they offer a dozen wings for 3.99 The wings were actually really good and my gf ordered a blt and was very happy with her decision. I know they do a burger special every Sunday — we plan on returning soon to try it.

This is one of those bars where everybody knows your name… and if they don’t, it’s just not as fun. But we were there with some people that did know other people’s names, so it was a scream. Also, on a Friday afternoon for March Madness contributed a certain amount of entertainment(especially when a guy got a call on the house from from what I can only assume was an angry wife). We also had some food here. I was a little wary, but remembered some pretty tasty burgers in the past, so I had a nice fried chicken sandwich with waffle fries. I was hungry and washed it down with plenty of Boulevard Wheat(on tap) so I was happy and satiated when we left. It’s a little bit like a small town bar and grill, in a very friendly way… though FYI, their TV situation was what I’d call outdated, so if that’s an issue for you, take it into consideration as well.

I’ve become a fan of Pipeline. Sometimes you just feel like a burger and a beer on a weekday without any excuse and this place has a variety of quality burgers/fries in the $ 7 range and will even substitute onion rings for no extra charge, which is unusual. The burgers actually take a little longer to come out than you’d expect and I think it’s because they aren’t short cutting it. The regulars seem to devour the daily specials(like the beef sandwich), I’ve even seen them ordering an extra 3 – 4 for takeout. Draft Beer and TV’s are cheap/plentiful. Wait staff is very friendly, I’m by no means a regular but am well taken care of. I used to drive a little further to go to BWW’s when in the burger/beer mood but no longer.

I enjoy the Pipeline Tavern. We go there every Sunday around 12:30. They have the Sunday NFL ticket package. There is never a shortage of games. They have good beer bucket specials. The kicker is the $ 1.50 cheeseburgers. They are delicious, fresh off the grill. Besides the cheese being on the burger, they have a condiment station that includes pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and the like. Don’t order french fries with each burger, because they sell them(crinkle or steak) as baskets. They make a damn good bloody mary, that the Mrs will add a couple of pickles too. On a nice day, they do have outdoor picnic tables that like the front of the building. They sit on top of a deck that overlooks the surrounding 72nd street and Pacific street intersections. Next door is a Dr. John’s botique. So if you leave the Pipeline, start feeling a little frisky, walk over and buy a few things to enjoy with your special someone.

From the parking lot to the restrooms… this is one run-down joint BUT they have a ton of HDTV’s with good sports coverage. The staff is usually very attentive unless they are overwhelmed. Standard fare bar food, decent drink prices, with an average beer selection.

Good selection of food, although my burger I ordered was overcooked. Krinkle fries were really good. The beef queso and chips were good as well. The queso is not hot spicy, but has a lot of spice to it. Overall a decent place. They have a good selection of beer on tap and decent prices… Watch out for the parking lot, if you drive a small car like I do, it may swallow you whole.

Good burgers and decent happy hour. $ 1 burgers on Sunday for the big games… we haven’t been to Louie M’s yet but my husband says that these burgers really rock!

Good sports bars require only a few things: quality drink specials, cheap(notice how I didn’t say gourmet) food, and hot waitresses. The Pipeline has the first two, which is a good start. They also have multiple large HDTVs for your enjoyment.
