My first gyro experience in town and it didn’t disappoint. This location is in a small strip mall and was staffed with two friendly employees. I ordered the gyro combo which came with a gyro, fries and a drink. For dessert I had a baklava. The gyro was a good size and fully stuffed with veggies and meat. The veggies and sauce added good flavor and texture, and the meat was spiced nicely. The only complaint I have is that the meat was sliced so thin that their texture was more dried and chewy than tender. The fries had a delicious spice mixture on them and were fried perfectly. The only thing about the fries is that, in my opinion, they needed more salt. But this was easily remedied as there was salt on the table. Finally, the baklava was super flaky and had lots of honey flavor. Personally though, I prefer baklava that has more walnut filling and less flaky layers, so this wasn’t my favorite version of baklava. As for pricing, the gyro meal is cheap and a great deal, but the baklava is expensive. I recommend getting the gyro meal and skipping on the baklava.

Being a big fan of gyros, I was excited to try out this place! I ordered the combo platter with chicken and beef gyro meat. It was great to see that they had their beef roasting on a stick so they could shave off the meat when they needed and I also ordered an order of falafel. Overall everything was quite tasty. I liked how the feta tasted in my salad and I especially liked their special sauce. The only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was their rice and how overly salty their falafel was. I hope this was a one time thing. Their chicken was also on the salty side but the gyro meat was quite tasty. My only gripe was it was over cooked. I do not hate this place, it was just ok to me and had everything been perfect and certain foods were not overly salted or overcooked, I can see myself totally loving this place. I can definitely see myself coming back to give this place another try!

These are good guys. The food they make is really good. When my girlfriend and I go we get the combination platter and we take home the left overs. It’s always really good food. You get huge portions. The only complaint that I have is the last time we had a hair in our food. Otherwise I would give this 5 stars.

I’m very picky about where I get Gyros from because if they don’t taste a certain way I cannot eat it. However when I first tried Sam’s on my lunch break about a week ago– I was anything but disappointed. The meat is seasoned perfectly, fries are phenomenal with the seasoning they put on it also. If you are looking for fabulous Greek food in the area — definitely come to Sam’s! The staff is also very nice– that’s a plus too

Good guys selling these gyros, but I’ve had better. I can say I was filled up, the gyros are a bit small vs gyros in Orlando Florida. My verdict it’s neutral. If I was in the area would probably buy again, but wouldn’t drive 20 mins again just for these gyros.

Best Gyro in Omaha. These are pretty good. Feels more authentic than the other locals. The onions are not overpowering, much better than the other places I’ve been to. Can’t beat the classic lamb gyro from these friendly folks.

Boyfriend and I stopped in for a late lunch. It was amazing. I got the combination platter which was HUGE! Boyfriend got the lunch combo. Everything was so tasty. The fries are awesome, seasoned to perfection. The stand out here is definitely the chicken. That is some of the best tasting chicken I’ve ever had. We loved this place and I’m sure we will be back!

The gyro meat is dry and chopped like steak for a Philly cheesesteak, but some reason it works and I can’t get enough of it… I think it’s the spicy sauce, it must be the sauce.

I tried this place for the first time tonight, and I’m hooked. This is the best gyro I’ve had in the omaha area. The owner is super nice, the place is clean, and the gyro is amazing. The meat is seasoned beautifully, it’s tender, and the special sauce is magic! I can’t wait to eat here again!

Don’t let the unassuming appearance of this little restaurant deter you from stopping in… my fiancé has been talking about this place for weeks so even though I wasn’t hungry… I went with him and ordered a greek salad. when I told the cook/cashier that it was my first time eating there, he offered me a falafel to try and also a little cup of yellow rice with meat on it. Everything was so tasty and fresh!!! The salad was made with iceberg lettuce but it was still a step above comparable Greek salads because it had a spicy red seasoning on it and delicious feta cheese. The falafel had a yummy flavor and wasn’t too heavy or overly fried tasting(I will probably order that the next time I go) He compared the rice mixture to the #8 and said it was his favorite dish, it was also very tasty, not dry at all and again– a lot of flavor!!! My fiancé ordered a gyro, which I also had a few bites of… the meat was delicious and well seasoned. We ordered the stuffed grape leaves as a side, I figured I would take them home since I wasn’t very hungry, but i ended up finishing them all. I may not have been hungry when I walked in, but after a few bites my mouth was watering for more! The staff member(or maybe he is the owner?) is very personable and friendly, he defintely takes pride in the food and service.

I first stopped in because the reviews on Unilocal and I have kept coming back ever since. This restaurant has the best tasting beef I have ever had. Also their sauce is above all else. The first time I went in I ordered their lunch combo, which came with a gyro, fries and a drink for just $ 7. But ever since then I have stuck with the combo platter, with the spicy salad and the spicy sauce, because it taste so good and it is so much food. Their baklava, is really tasty as well. Also the owner is a really awesome guy and the last time I was in he made it an off the menu sandwich which was extremely delicious. Overall, this place deserves a 5 star rating because the food is bomb and the people working there are awesome.

The service is great, it is usually just being run by one guy and they are all really chill. The food is phenomenal yet simple. Taste like you are in a Mediterranean Heaven. Definitely a good place to bring the bros.

Stopped into this place on a whim. Their menu is very basic, and on this visit, I tried their beef gyro platter, which included rice, salad, and of course, the gyro. Everything was very tasty, and for the price, the portions were very large. Good, solid place to eat a quick meal at. Their staff were also very friendly and accommodating.

Great new family ran gyro place. I love the yellow rice they have. It adds something new to the typical greek offerings. They did a wonderful job cooking the gyro meat so it had a nice sear on the pieces.

Sam’s is your typical gyro joint. I tried Sam’s on a Saturday night. It was empty, so I received prompt service from the only person working(I assume it was Sam, the owner?). Well, that doesn’t really matter, but he saw me scanning the menu and suggested the combo platter — hefty servings of shredded gyro meat, chicken, veggies, rice and a pita bread. All for about $ 10(doesn’t include drink). Not bad. Not great. Pretty good, A-OK, etc. I have to say the highlight of the meal was the chicken, which was seasoned well and very juicy. The gyro meat was a bit on the dry side and was shaved into tiny bits. That could have been due to it being later in the evening, but who knows. Overall, I’m glad to have another solid food option in the neighborhood and will be back soon to explore more of the menu.

Went here on a Saturday a few weeks ago, and it was EMPTY! Normally, I’d just turn around and run out the door in this situation, but I was super stressed about a family situation, and needed some fries, STAT. So, I decided to be daring and go ahead and take something to go. The guy behind the counter said that they are busy during the week, but less so on the weekend. The décor is simple inside. Seemed cleaned(hasn’t been open for very long, so that’s subject to change, I suppose). So, the food options are pretty simple – they don’t try to do too many things. I ordered the combo meal – beef gyro, fries and drink. There was a ton of meat there; seemed well worth the price. Fries were okay, made on the spot, but a little salty. Since I was craving fries, they get dinged on that. But, all in all, the food was fresh and ready to go pretty quickly. Guy behind the counter was personable and I’d try it again. FYI – I think the combo is a dollar more on the weekends?.

Well, I think King Kong has some competition in the ‘hood. We were craving a gyro but it was late and we didn’t want to go far. I was looking here on Unilocal for something that sounded good. Turns out, Sam’s has been open for three weeks. I was a bit apprehensive as there was only one review by someone who has only two reviews so I’m less likely to believe their review as being accurate. Sam’s is in the same shopping center as No Frills, facing Saddle Creek between Cuming and California. The small dining room is clean. The menu is posted on a board and you go to the counter to order. In addition to gyros, there were also philly cheesesteak and burgers. Sides included falafel and stuffed grape leaves which are vegetarian and made in house. I’m interested in trying more of the menu. I only ordered two gyros and fries. You can decide what you want on your gyro, including all the usual stuff and feta. we live just a few blocks away and since everything was prepared fresh it was still very hot. Fries had a season salt and you can get a side of cucumber sauce for your fries. The gyro was packed with very tasty meat. We both really enjoyed it. The only complaint was that the cucumber sauce is very thin and I

Best combo plate. I love the chicken, and always for the golden rice. Great portion, can’t always finish it.
