Soggy Paws Omaha

I drove 2.5 hrs for a scheduled appointment for my bichon and the groomer took one look at him and told us her boss wouldn’t let her use a blade short enough to feasibly groom him because he was matted. I get him groomed every 3 to 4 months (at various groomers) and never once had this problem, even when he was much more matted. Honestly, I’m glad she refused to touch him after hearing the only way she could handle his fur was to shave him completely down. She never once asked if that’s what I wanted. Very disappointment. Will never be back.

A cute shop in downtown Omaha! My husband and I just moved back to the area after being spoiled with our groomer for the past 3 years. We are trying to find someone like our old groomer in Des Moines, IA, and tried out Soggy Paws. Two times a year I like to treat our chihuahua to a good grooming to get all of his undercoat combed out, because he’s been shedding like crazy with the seasons changing… Took him here to get washed/​undercoat combed out and nails trimmed, and when we came to pick him up, he was still wet had had a ton of hair not only on his body but it got all over our car and clothes on the way home. I ended up having to use our own grooming rake at our house to get a ton of hair off of him. I don’t mind grooming our dogs, but sometimes I like to treat them to a nice pampering, and having to spend $ 25.00 for a wash, comb and nail trim to have to come home and comb all his undercoat hair off anyway, doesn’t really seem worth it, esp since he’s so small and it really doesn’t take much time to wash him. It might just be a fluke, and the staff there was so nice and fun and caring for our pup, that I think it might just be one bad experience. I will try them out again with our other dog, hoping to have a good experience. With all the good feedback on here about the groomers, I have faith that the next time I bring our dogs there it will be good.

First, yes, we do have the cutest dog in the world, and after getting pampered at such an excellent place like Soggy Paws, his cuteness is ridiculous…
This is our second time to try Soggy Paws and we love it, because our Max loves it! He is always so happy and excited after the grooming and of course I just couldn’t let him get out of my arms… right now he is extra soft and he smells amazing… Max usually gets nervous around strangers, but he was so relaxed and calm while the groomer was holding him… Thank you, guys. Good job!

Soggy Paws is a great place to take your dog for a DYI bath. The tub raises up after the dog is in it and secured so it’s easy on the back. The staff is so very helpful. I wasn’t sure what all the tools were for since when I bathe my dog in the tub at home, the main thing is keeping him in the tub long enough to get the shampoo rinsed off. No problem with that here, and using the tools to get out the undercoat made my dog look and feel silky soft. The face wash was great since I didn’t have try to rinse without getting soap in my dog’s eyes. While I appreciate the dryers, when I tried it on my dog, he nearly managed to escape, it scared him so much so I won’t try that again. I would much rather go to Soggy Paws than use my bathtub and the price is right.

A great little shop! I hope they expand because they have what you need. that is really just a guess because all I really do here in get cat treats and toys. I am sure the self service dog wash and nail trim is awesome. based on the service I get when I go here I am certain every guest feels as if they are the oly one ther. That is true customer service and I approve. When you have four legged family it is just as important to take care of them as you would your kids.

I seriously enjoy this place. My beautiful baby (she’s not really a baby anymore) sheds so much and the one time that I tried to bathe her in my own bathtub turned out to be a HUGE mistake. Let’s just say that I had standing water in my tub after every shower for weeks (even after the Drano).
I started bringing Chloe to the downtown Omaha location right after they opened. That is where I met a wonderful young lady named Regi. Seriously, she’s awesome… and so her her cute as hell dog, Google.
Regi was more than eager to instruct me on what Soggy Paws was and how to go about getting my Chloe nice and clean. She was very patient and knowledgable and super kind and gentle with my fur baby. Every time I have brought Chloe to Soggy Paws, she is treated like the most important doggy in the world (and to me, she is). I think what I like the most about this whole experience is that I can go there and groom her and then leave the mess there. No more clogged drains in my house! If you have a dog (especially one that sheds like Chloe) and you need to groom her but don’t want to pay the outrageous prices that most pet salons charge, I suggest checking out Soggy Paws. If there isn’t one in your area (I think they are only in Chicago and Omaha?) then I suggest looking to see if you can find a place that is similar to this! Cheers!

We’ve been in Omaha for almost 11 years now and have tried numerous groomers for our dog, a wheaten terrier. This is the first time we are totally pleased with the grooming. Jamie does a GREAT job grooming. We’ve taken our dog there twice already for grooming and continue extremely satisfied. I consider Jamie top notch. Plus, I ditto everybody else’s comments about the service in general and the care and interest that is shown towards both the dogs and the owners. Glad to be acquainted with them!

Hands down the best place to take your pet for grooming! The employees here are so friendly and really care about your pet. My dog is very skittish and nervous with new people, so the employee that is took the time to warm up to her first! So awesome! I forgot to get the employee’s name that helped me but she was beyond helpful, answered every question (I had a lot), and was very knowledgeable about their products as well as other products they weren’t caring. The self wash stations are fully stocked, clean, and have everything you need for pet grooming… things you probably don’t even think you need, but you do! Not even petco is this pet friendly! I will only be using this store for my dogs grooming needs!

Go there for the excellent service and great products. Most importantly, Regi (the manager) will blow your mind with how much she cares for your dog and utilizes her many years of experience to assist and answer any question you might have. What an awesome place!

Great staff that helps you with your first visit. My border collie was at ease with the raised tub, hose wash and blow dryer. I will be back. :)

This was a wonderful experience. I brought my dog in to do the self-​wash. The facility was great. The bath tubes are height adjustable, and very convenient. There is a broad selection of products you can use from different shampoos, brushes, and after bath coat treatment. The drier is loud, but they provide «ear muffs» (headband) to protect your dogs ears and it dries the dogs coat efficiently without heat. The inside temperature was a little warm for me, but my dog was comfortable. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. The products and treats available in the store are excellent quality and selection. It was a great experience and I will go back.

I’m always a supporter of smaller businesses v. those mega chains! This place is located right next to the max and very close to where I live so that’s a plus. Food and other pet selections is smallish but the foods they carry are top notch and high quality stuff. They carry Fromm pet food which I recently switched my doggy over too. She’s always had problems with switching foods but I got these sample packs from another store and she did well on all of them. Not to mention it was so tasty she refused to eat her old food, which was probably twice as expensive.
Since I’m lazy, I don’t wash her here but I DO get her professionally groomed. I have to admit I’m a little high maintenance and always disappointed when I got her groomed at other places. I told the lovely groomer my concerns and she was very nice and listened. My pom looked fabulous and I was VERY happy with the way she looked… a perfect little puff ball!

We’ve bathed our great dane three time at Soggy Paws and each experience has been fantastic. Their shampoos smell fantastic and she comes home squeaky clean. We heartily recommend Soggy Paws.

We were immediately greeted by Bart at the door. Once his assistant, Paul, was available, we were treated to the best service we have ever had with respect to our pets. We will be back again and again. Thank you Paul, and Bart, for bringing this wonderful service to Omaha. By the way, save yourself a trip to Megamart or Pet Warehouse, the prices at Soggy Paws are better and the service is supreme!
3-​24-​2012: Have been back many times, and have never had a bad experience. Reggie is an execptional person, and a wealth of knowledge regarding pets. She is warm, kind and loves her job and it shows. Omaha is blessed to have a business like this.
