El Torito

First time at this location. When we asked to be seated the place was half empty and the hostess said we needed to wait 10 – 15 mins (I’m assuming it’s because they were under staffed) it then took another 15 mins for the waiter to take our order.
Luckily the food came out fairly quickly because we told the waiter we wee in a rush.
The food was okay. No fish (non shrimp options) everything was either chicken, steak or shrimp.

Cool place to hang out for Sunday brunch. Waitress are fast and nice. Recommend it.

I visited the El Torito in Ontario California from the time we sat down our waitress was great. She was very attentive when taking our orders. Her name was Nancy I haven’t gotten great service ilike that in a long time she has restored my faith in service from restaurants.
I will visit this El Torito again and ask for a table in Nancy’s area.
Thank you Nancy for your great service and Luis one of the managers came around making sure things were ok that was nice.

Not to bad of an el torito. They always send out buy one get one free lunch specials. It’s a hidden el torito.

I wish this app had a 0 star to rate this restaurant. This was the worst restaurant I have ever been too. The service was terrible! The food took over an hour to get to our table. Then when my family received the food the fajita plates, the veggies were all undercooked. Might as well severed it raw. Now I can’t forget about the waitress. She was a rude and disrespectful! While taking my families order she was making inappropriate faces and rolling her eyes. She also dropped food all over my husbands shoes and pants and DID NOT APOLOGIZE! He then confronted her, she then denied doing so and still didn’t apologize! This was a big day for me! It was my college graduation dinner. I didn’t end up eating my food because it was raw, we had a terrible waitress, and horrible service when it came to our food. They ruined this big special day for me. I would not recommend this location to anyone! I would rather drive all the way to the Redondo beach location on the pier! They have great service, food and staff. Don’t waste your money or time at this location, because they will ruin your special day too.

Customer service here is outstanding! Food was awesome! Had the chicken fajitas and margarita. Both were outstanding. Chicken was very tasty and tender. We will defiantly be back!

Other than the complimentary chips and salsa everything else I could simply pass. From the chicken street tacos, tamales, chile relleno, shrimp fajitas to the basic fries nothing was good.
Chicken tacos had too much toppings — red cabbage, white onions, tomatoes, roasted peppers, cojita cheese… What happened to just onion and cilantro?
The poblano chile relleno lacked a roasted flavor and was so tough.
Tamale was dry, shrimps were small and fries were salty.
I don’t recall El Torito being this bad.

Worst service ever. I gave this place a shot two weeks in a row in hopes id have a better experience bc it’s so close to my home. I went for taco Tuesday both times and taco set up was very messy they were out of a lot of the toppings.
The waitresses were total messes! They are in a rush leaving them to mess up orders and obv giving very bad service.
The firs time the waitress took over 15 minutes to bring drinks out when we had ordered as we sat down. Food took over 30 minutes to come out! Not joking. In the end she said she would split the tab for us. She was in such a hurry as soon as we said «split 3 ways» (there were 4 of us and 4^th person was paying cash) she disappeared and came back with the entire check split 3 ways. We didn’t make her revise it we all just paid it but she charged two of the people twice! They had to go back for refunds.
The second time, waitress was way nicer and more attentive. Didn’t take as long but she stated she could «absolutely not» split the bill for us because they «don’t do that» when the week before it was no problem. She asked for debit cards to place out orders so we gave them to her. In the end she did split the bill but again, I was double charged. I will be going back for a refund.
I will keep going to the Rancho location; way better service & food. Never have had a bad experience here.

This place is kinda hidden at the back of the business center. GPS said I had arrived and I had to still search a little. I ate in the bar area around the lunch hour. The bartender was nice and served the drinks and food with a smile. The food was average, typical for this restaurant, nothing special, but not bad. The service was fast and professional. Good place to eat if you are on a quick lunch break. They also have healthy options.

Here currently I haven’t had this much of a disappointing experience in awhile not only did it take us 15 mins to get our drinks they took 30 – 45 mins to give us our food when there is literally 5 people in the restaurant and 10 people working, it’s sad that they really don’t seem to care about their customers as well as being rude when you ask for napkins or a refill! I’m spending my money here I would like a little bit of attention and consideration especially when I could go to ANY other Mexican restaurant first and LAST time I come here. ATTN MANAGEMENT pay attention to your customers no ones happy here.

I enjoyed the Chile Verde Carnitas and yes it just what I need for Christmas eve dinner! No worries; no messy kitchen this year! Boom!

I recently started work in the office building across the street and El Torito is my go-​to place for lunch takeout.
Honestly, the first time I came here for takeout, the process was so seamless that I was sold. The hostess (Allison) was really friendly, and I was pleasantly surprised to find how professionally packaged everything was. I was even given a small complimentary bag of tortilla chips with salsa, which I did not expect either and really appreciate.
I’ve been here a bunch of times now but have only tried a few items on the menu: the A La Carte street tacos (chicken, beef, and fish), and also the A La Carte sauteed vegetables are all really great that I keep coming back for them. My usual order nowadays is just 3 A La Carte Mahi Street Tacos, which makes for a great lunch.
The reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is because this restaurant has been quite inconsistent in its order execution over the past 10+ times I’ve ordered here. A few times when I’ve called to place the order over the phone, the restaurant is so busy that the person taking the order is so overwhelmed, puts me on hold and accidentally hangs up on me half the time. About ¹⁄₃^rd of the time, the order does not include the complimentary chips and salsa (which I come to expect, after I receive it the other 66% of the time). The worst time was when I had to wait 30 minutes for my order to be ready, and it finally came out in an unusual Styrofoam box and didn’t include the chips and salsa either.
Generally, when my order is handled by Allison, it’s executed quickly and correctly, and she’s always very friendly and personable when I come to pick up the order. When it’s not handled by her, it’s more of a gamble.
That said, the food’s great and I’ve had enough positive takeout experiences here to give it 4 stars.

Gross food everything taste like it comes out of a can. Even the salsa. Disappointing. waste of $ 50 but the margaritas were good! Still won’t be back

Live their new set up and new food choices. Can’t go wrong with unlimited cranberry and champagne. My daughter loves their beans.

El Torito used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I ordered the burrito but i t had too much going on. I felt as though I had fajitas inside my burrito. It reminded me of the Tostada I purchased at the Green Burrito, too spicy and weird taste. So I wanted to exchange it for tacos but I wanted my beans and rice and I told the waiter this. He took my whole plate. When I got the tacos I had different beans and the taco also had too much going on. They must have a new cook. I preferred the refried beans yet I got pinto beans instead. The tacos used to just have salsa, onions and cilantro and not that plus cabbage, radish, cheese crumbles and other stuff in them. I wanted tacos not a salad. I did eat some of it and then the waiter brought me the check. Seemed a little unusual since i was there for my birthday. OK just got a box and left. I know you have added some new things but sometimes simple may be better.
I heard two others sang to but I guess when you send back something you loose that benefit. Was it for some other reason i didn’t get the same treatment. Not Hispanic? Hmmmm. I didn’t even get the normal have a nice day as I walked out the door. Two employees were there but their conversation was more important then a good bye to me.

This is a 3.5 rating for the lunch buffet for $ 11.99. New look, they added a burrito bar, desserts, and someone making salad with meats.

Idk how this place got a 4 star rating, I mean I know we came on taco Tuesday but it was 4 when we got here with 0 people on the patio inside. It took about 15 minutes for a water to get to the table.
I hoped the bad comments were wrong, or maybe we got the wrong server. Idk her name cuz maybe she knew she didn’t give a damn about us. She’s lucky I don’t have her name. Hhhh.

Any day is great for tequila. We decided to waste a little time before our event an have a signature margarita and bacon wrapped shrimp with taco cheese quesidilla. The food and drink were good. The chips were light and fresh. Salsa was good. The service was pretty slow. It could be that it was friday and it was very busy.
Before entering into the bar you have to get your hand stamped. No id was ask just your hand for a stamp. They had music playing not sure if it was a dj on the other side of the bar which was not visible. If I am ever In the area again I will drop in

my husband brought me here for my birthday and I absolutely loved it! Huge portions at decent prices, OUTSTANDING customer service! And the food was absolutely delicious!!!
I recommend this location to everyone and we will definitely be back! (:

In the area for meetings and this was the place chosen for a group of 40 (reservation for 30). The team at the restaurant did a great job accommodating us.
Food wasn’t over the top for a Mexican restaurant but definitely good with a great selection.
The Cadilac Margarita was perfect… all 4 of them
The appetizer plate and table side guacamole are both good options.
I’m a big fan of fajitas, but have to say I was disappointed with the ignited fajitas I ordered. They didn’t let me know when they ignited it and the steak was incredibly dry and chewy.
The beans were great and the rice only mediocre.
All in all a great place for a group, but stick to the basics.
