Left without eating after 40 minutes. I was sitting in the booth after ordering a burger and fries. Nothing special just like it was on the menu. I watched the burger go to the window and sit ther for 20 minutes getting cold and dried out. The waitress tried to no avail to deliver the burger to the wrong customer. Back to the window. Finally after realizing wher the burger belonged the waitress brought it to the table. I refused the burger and asked for a fresh one after stating that I saw it sit in the window for 20 minutes and she had tried to deliver it to the wrong customer. I was told its ok the other customer never touched it. I refused and insisted on a fresh one. After 20 more minutes a fresh burger arrives. Good for me right they listened and fixed the problem. Wrong they brought me the wrong burger. Needless to say at this point I refused to let them make another mistake. I paid for my lemonade and left. Way to go staff. Signed a hungry dissatisfied customer.

I had the buffet. It was bland, inexpensive food. The waitress was nice. They ran out of dessert — nope, there’s no more. Umm, it’s a buffet and it’s 6:45. $ 12.99 per person.

Order from the menu or buffet restaurant.(your choice) 2STARSFORFOOD: There weren’t that much choices of food and the taste was okay, I’ve tasted better breakfast. 5STARSFORSERVICE: They were insanely busy when I went but the server was very attentive and trying to be as helpful as she could be which was great. Glass always full of water and no dirty plate stayed on our table. 3STARSFORPRICE: It was cheap but the number of choices of food made it kinda pricey for me. 2STARSFORAMBIENCE: The place was decent looking but kinda on the dirty side. I found it cool how the Professional Drivers had their own dinning area. It was very crowded and there was a closed area that they could have opened so people won’t have to wait to get a table. 2STARSFORLOCATION: I found it cool how this place is by the gas station and close to the freeway, very convinient. (Average 2.8 = 3STARS)

I don’t know what the others reviewers saw or tasted. Stopped here with massive hunger on the way home from taking care of a speeding ticket written in Kern County… still a large disappointment. Alton Brown’s evil twin must have been the one to mention this place to ruin his reputation. 4 stars for the service, no stars for the food to make 2 stars. Otherwise, the experience at this truck stop was priceless(I love how we were stared at our whole meal)

Wooooaaaaah. Truck stop diner. Didn’t know we still had those. This place is so Americana it’s fantastic. Apparently Alton Brown seems to like it too. It was featured on Feasting on Waves«California or Bust.» We stopped by in the dead of night and the service was kind and gentle. The food was superb and service was excellent. It’s really a giant leap above Denny’s and Hometown Buffet when you want some good American eats. They have buffet deals as well so that’s pretty awesome. Inexpensive. It’s a great party recovery restaurant as well as a great restaurant. Aww, yeah.

Just a diner at a truck stop… how very Americana. But this diner is pretty darn good(way better than Denny’s, IHOP, etc.), with good value behind the cheap prices. I’ve been here twice now and haven’t been disappointed. The first time I had the chicken-fried steak dinner, and it was better than average… crisp, moist, and gravy was good. Came with steamed veggies, side salad, and bowl of soup. All for 9.99. The 2nd time I had their buffet, which was better than Hometown. There was brisket, ham, and very good fried chicken, along with a salad bar and 2 soups. The buffet is 10.49 for AYCE. Finally, have the sweet tea! It’s perfectly sweet, and not over. Plenty of parking. And remember that it’s located in the TA stop on the western side of Milliken. The wait staff are overly nice. Oh… and open 24 hours! And it even has WiFi(though it’s paid, but cheap).
