Came here because I was craving the Lava Nachos just like the ones in Disneyland. Well that didn’t happen. So in the beginning we waited about 20 minutes to get seated in line since the host at the elephant wasn’t even there. So now we have to get back in line per the worker since the host magically appeared. Then we have to wait another 20 minutes to wait for a table even though every other table was empty. So we order our food, and it took about 30 – 35 minutes to be ready. The server at our table didn’t show up at all but 2 times to take our order and drinks while we waited. She then comes after we get our food and introduces us to an Asian server, who was more attentive that our original server. Our old server goes to introduce us to the new server(really nice Asian young girl) and says she will be going soon. But, then the old server stays along behind, and keeps watching us(maybe for tip?) but still doesn’t attend to us like the new server. So I tell my brother in law, we need to give the tip to the new server since she popped up every 5 minutes asking if we were okay and if we liked the food, way more better than the other girl. So we get the new server I give her my card and we give her the cash tip. My sister and brother in law work in the restaurant business and we are aware of everything. About the food: it wasn’t as good as the Disneyland Rain Forest Café, I ordered the lava nachos and the serving is way less than Disneyland, the food was cold when we got it(before our new server took over) the food was not impressive at all very bland, cold, but since we waited over an hour we ate it. The service after the new girl was good but didn’t change the fact we waited a while for our food and how it was cold. Don’t think I’ll be coming back to this one. I do give them 2 stars since the new server was better and the animals were more moving and stuff

Deteriorating atmosphere, service and overall quality of food and drinks. Also they lie about everything from getting you in the door down to your check drop and all very clearly out of desperation. I wanted to take my daughter out for a fun birthday dinner so I called ahead to see if they were busy. The girl on the phone said that I’ll want to make make a reservation because they actually have some big parties coming in tonight and no way to tell if I’ll get a seat without a reservation. So we kind of bee-lined it over there because we didn’t want to lose our spot but when we got to the host stand nothing was happening, like at all. No host, no customers, no fish in the infamous tank. One guy walked right past us in a rainforest café polo shirt and ear phone wires like he was management but didn’t seem to care that we were there. After a few minutes of poking around we got sat but the place was empty and atmosphere very old and sad. And I wish that was the worst of it. We started with the ICEE slurpees. How can a slurpee be dry? Never had a dry slurpee until today, but It can be done apparently. So much ice, hardly any juice. No refills and $ 5.00 per cup. Unbelievable. Also the menus were crisp with old food and grease. As slow as they were how can you not have time to wipe down a menu? We washed our hands after handling them because *gack*! Anyway we started with the«Beef Lava Nachos», the server asked us when we ordered«do you want beef?» We said yeah of course since we’re ordering the Beef Lava Nachos. When I think ‘lava’ I think ‘volcano’ like these nachos are gonna be a heaping pile of massive awesomeness. Nope. Not at all. More like a flat desert plain of anemic, tasteless sadness. Super flat. Super anemic. Tasteless dry beef crumbles. Bleh. And to our delightful surprise when the bill came out they had charged us for the«Beef Lava Nachos» and another few dollars to «Add Beef». Wow guys. Shady as hell. That’s why the server asked if we wanted beef on our beef lava nachos? Desperate and shady. We had them take the extra charge off our bill because of basic principle. And yes, after super icy, dry overpriced slurpees and tasteless, anemic nachos we absolutely asked for the check because that was it. Too much disappointment for a child’s birthday dinner. No wonder we were the only people in there. They did bring her a birthday cupcake. Also dry, like it had been there a few days. And also ended up on the bill. Close it down, you guys are clearly done here. Like a beaten and weathered mini golf park that was bright and fun once upon a time, but that time has passed and now you’re just sad, empty and colorless. Call it a night fellas. Rainforest Café Ontario Mills experiment over.

Staff was unfriendly and rushed us as we sat down and when we asked for a moment to look over the menu. Our hostess huffed rolled her eyes and did not revisit our table. So we got up and left. Prices outrageous just another tourist trap and tacky themes that are subpar compared to the rest of Canada and Disney. Do not recommend avoid at all cost.

Took my kids for the first time, they loved it! Service is great, just wish everything wasn’t so pricey. But I’ll definitely be back. I’d love to throw a birthday party there.

We had the most amazing experience today! I am severely allergic to fish and I asked the server if I could have my shrimp prepared separately. She went and got the Chef. The Chef named Lito came out and personally introduced himself and got to know me and my allergies. On top of it all, I am a vegetarian as well. So he came up with a meal especially for me, and my god it was delicious. A shrimp pesto pasta, I would call it. He even took the rest of the families order and personally delivered our food once he prepared it. Thank you Chef Lito!!!

First they told us it was going to be a 20 minute wait and a hour and 10 minutes later we got seated. After getting seated it took the manager 15 minutes to acknowledge that we haven’t been waited on. The manager did comp us a app but it does not make up the time we wasted. Food was mediocre, was not worth the price we paid. My wife’s chicken strips were under cooked, they brought us another batch but again they were under cooked. I would definitely not recommend anyone ever coming here.

The food was so bad my 1 year old wouldn’t even eat it. They brought the wrong dishes out on top of it so we had to wait for new ones. And even with the fresh new plates, they were terrible. The bread was dense and pasty, the chicken had no flavor and the veggie burger had texture of sand. Came home and had a great home cooked meal!

Terrible food and even more terrible service. Take your kids elsewhere for their birthday or go to the Rainforest Café in Downtown Disney.

Came in on a Friday around noon. Not crowded by any means. I only come here for my two boys. If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t step foot in this place! The food is mediocre and way overpriced. I only get a Caesar salad every time I come because so much of the menu is deep fried. I always have to ask for fresh chicken because apparently they use refrigerated chicken. I also have to ask for dressing on the side because they soak the lettuce in dressing. Salad was $ 17! The silverware was covered in dry food. Gross! When I needed service, I couldn’t find a server if my life depended on it! I actually had to call the restaurant to have them send me a server lol! I think from now on I’m just going to eat a protein bar while my kids enjoy their kids meals and the animals. One final note, it’s funny how once the bill came my server kept showing up every 5 minutes lol! I got up to take the boys to the bathroom and I saw her double timing it to my table! I told her not to clear the table because I was coming back… pretty effing funny!

Bad service. Food was good. Our waitress Nichole ignored us the entire time. We had to ask for our refills to multiple people. We had to ask for napkins and ketchup. Our table didn’t get cleared of appetizer dishes til we almost started eating our entrees. Until we requested a new waitress then the experience became so much better. The new waitress was great. Nichole(original waitress) seemed to be bothered that we asked for help by someone else. Rolled her eyes from a distance as if we didn’t notice. Walked by without even apologizing. Shame on you. To top it off the animal ballon guy completely ignored us. We were there two hours and he didn’t notice 4 kids at our table.

Its a really cool place to eat at. Super cool ambiance, great for kids, good service. But food is like whatever and way overpriced. But my kid was happy so that made it worth it. Gotta go at least once. But be prepared to pay way too much for like a decent chicken sandwich.

+ Welcoming Personnel + Rainforest Burger was Good + Strawberry Lemonade was Good — The Animal Sounds every 15 minutes were Annoying and need some updating or better sound system — The lighting was too dark. When the«Storm» would happen it felt good to the eyes. — it was Cold inside. COLD. — Kid’s Apple Juice was warm — Slow Food Service — Drinks Arrived after the second time we asked for them. — Fries were Cold and seemed old.

Came in on a Friday, 12:45pm…there was MAYBE8 other families dining as well. The food was extremely overpriced, and it took about 45 min to get our food from the time we ordered. My fiancé ordered a burger with a side of fries. He got 7 French fries(yes, I said 7)…My sons side of fruit was 5 apple slices. I ordered a chicken sandwich, had one slice of bacon It truly was a disappointment. To top it off, our server walked by our table numerous times without providing us refills. Poor service, quality of food was BAD, the place is overpriced… My family and I will not be going back.

I’m 24 years old and this was my first visit to Rainforest Café. EXCELLENTAMBIANCE! Made me feel like a kid again :) *Great service, they seated us in the middle where we could get a full view of the whole place. *Prices are reasonable, but you get full easily! *every 20−30mins or so, the«animals» make noises and the lights flicker. It’s so exciting! I even join in the fun *ITSMELLSLIKE A RAINFOREST. More like chlorine water, it made me feel nauseated but that’s ok. It show they presented the place that matters. My family and I had a great time. Definitely would recommend this place after a full day of shopping at Ontario Mills

We stopped in here on our way to the airport to get a bite to eat. I hadn’t been to a Rainforest café in years. The realistic detail is like actually being in a beautiful, tropical and lush paradise. The restaurant itself is a visual delight! Almost as good as going to the zoo! We had an excellent tour guide as our server. We ordered the chicken quesadillas as our appetizer which was quite good; a bbq burger with yummy onion rings and the coconut shrimp, which was really good. Great service and ambiance, also some good cocktails. I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. A bit pricey but a cool experience. There also is a cute little gift shop where I scored a cute hoodie off the clearance rack. I must say touristy but fun for the whole family. Definitely worth a visit!

I’ve been going to the Rainforest Café for a few years now and while I’ve always enjoyed the jungle theme, that’s usually about it. The food was only okay as was the service. This trip was something different. I came in with my daughter at around 2 pm on a Saturday so it was fairly busy. I figured it was going to be a meh experience. We waited about 10 minutes or so and got seated near back where the Atlas looking statue is. Our«tour guide» quickly got our drink orders in and when she came back with them we were ready to order. My daughter is a mac & cheese freak so she got that while I played it safe with a Guacamole Bacon burger. Color me shocked when about 10 – 15 minutes later our food came out. Even better is that it was very good. The burger was perfectly cooked and I felt it was better than the similar burger I had at Red Robin just a week earlier. My daughter gave the Mac & cheese thumbs up. Yeah it’s a little pricey for what you get but if the kid loves it, what can you do. Service was friendly & efficient throughout. Much better than what I’ve experienced in the past. I don’t know if I just came on a good day, was lucky or what but I’m definitely more inclined to go more than the two times a year I’ve averaged in the past. However it was a bummer that the fish are no longer in the tank by the entrance. I hope those come back. Other than that, good job Rainforest Café.

I can’t think of anyone I can recommend Rainforest Café to! I thought now having a little one this might be fun, but alas I was wrong. For adults it is super over priced while the ambiance is cheap with their mismatched plastic table cloths and dilapidated chairs. For younger ones(my 2 year old for example) the animals coming to life at deafening volumes with wild sounds is more scary than fun. Maybe for parents who just don’t care about cost with kids that are old enough to not be scared by the sudden starts and stops it would be ok if you are also willing to put up with slow service? I don’t know, I still can’t honestly think of one friend or family member that I would recommend this to. My son loves looking at the animals on the façade every time we are at the Mills, but we won’t be going inside again. I can’t comment on the food because between the exorbitant prices($ 16 for a cheeseburger!), the slow service, and the startling animal«show»(of which we saw three iterations without having someone come to take our order) we got out and went to another restaurant for lunch.

I came here for an early dinner over a week ago with my wife and daughter. Since I’m a Landry’s Club member, the hostess sat us down and told us if we need anything we could get her. Well, we definitely needed her, but the hostess was nowhere to be found amidst a bunch of employees scurrying around the dining area. Throughout our overpriced meal time, the servers were in fact friendly. But we could never get a hold of our server when we needed something. And when we did get a hold of our server, she actually couldn’t help us. I was needing a water refill during our initial 20-minute wait for our food order… Glimpsed our waitress and I waved my arm and called out… Whoops, she didn’t see me. After more than 20 minutes, my wife finally got a hold of our server to ask about our ahi appetizer. Our server seemed surprised, and gave us a convincing answer that it would be out quickly. Another 10 minutes goes by… We got our server again, letting her know the app didn’t arrive. So she went to the kitchen, then came back to tell us it was coming right out, that she herself wasn’t able to bring it to us right then because the way it works at Rainforest is that the delivery people bring it. Fine. So a few minutes later our entrees come out. Waitress then apologizes when she sees our app wasn’t on the table. Our entrees were terrible. Sandy-tasting clam chowder for me, with a burger that should’ve been $ 3 instead of $ 15. At least it included cold fries. My wife actually got ribs for something like $ 23… Let me just say it wasn’t worth even $ 5 at best. It’s all a bunch of pre made unnatural food. Still had trouble flagging someone down for drink refills, as well as a spoon my wife needed. Here’s the synopsis: Service sucked. Way overpriced food. Avoid completely… Unless you have kids. Then you’re screwed because you might actually have to come to this god-forsaken gimmick of a «restaurant.» PS. They have huge fish tanks at the entrance to the restaurant. However, they did away with the fish. So it’s just big tanks of water now. Sorry for the spoiler!

If you’re in the mood for entertaining your kids for two hours with the mediocre moving jungle animals and noises, AND feel like paying way too much for your slow to arrive food, then by all means, this is the place for you! We visited here for our baby friend’s 1st birthday and were quite disappointed. We were a group of about 15, but only half of our group was there, and the other half arrived 30 minutes later. We were one, of three other groups in the ENTIRE restaurant, so I was sure we’d get good, speedy service … WRONG!!! Our food, all of it, drinks, appetizers, and meals took FOREVER to arrive. I had to take my 18 month old around the restaurant several times to keep him from getting fussy. My drink was never refilled, and my husband had to remind the waitress that he’d asked to have his refilled. I rarely saw the waitress come by and check on us, and the fact that there was no one else in the restaurant made this completely inexcusable. Our friends who were hosting the dinner, ended up paying the bill. I’m not sure how much they ended up paying but I’m sure it was ridiculous from what I’d seen on the menu prior to ordering. Being that this location is inside the Ontario Mills Mall, I’d actually walked passed it several times. Each time, I noticed the restaurant was extremely packed. One time I overheard the hostess saying the wait time was 2 hours! Trust me, save your money and take your kids to Chuck E. Cheese or John’s Incredible Pizza! Much more entertaining, and cheaper I’m sure! We the jury find Rainforest Café GUILTY and will not be returning. Case dismissed.

1st impression: This place looked fun and something cool to experience. Came in here and sat ourselves right at the bar. It was really busy when we went however our waitress was working really hard to stay on things. I think she did a good job. We ordered chicken quesadillas, and some drinks. Both were tasty. The bar stools were unique it included different types of animals for your rear when sitting. Makes for some cool/funny pictures. Atmosphere: Elephants and other safari like animals here with a mist of water coming from the ceiling as if you were in the rainforest. There were some misters coming out from the side bar nothing to drastic. It was actually refreshing. Loved the theme and animals. Definitely a win for the kids, they also have a store full of stuffed animals and other cool things to check out before or after eating. Don’t forget to check out the pretend alligator when you leave.
