Great service and the plates are good enough for two. I couldn’t stop eating the seasoned fries. The food was great. Don’t let the old style restaurant look fool you. The look gives it some kind of old charm.

Fantastic little spot… huge portions and great prices! I got the Ontario Airport and that thing was a monster! We will definitely be making the trip to come here when in the area.

I been working for this restaurant 4 yrs already! & I can honestly say the new owners are trying hard to make iron skillet a better place to eat. The food is home made nothing is frozen! We have home made breads & biscuits too! It has a better ambiance & better service! We all want you guys to come back & give us a try. We will try to make your visit pleasant! You won’t be disappointed

Came in today and notice the a newer upgraded Iron Skill. Service is good but there’s a stingy Asian lady that seems to count every single napkin they give you. Price is good for the amount of food.

We stopped in today. Could immediately see that it had a facelift & the staff were not the usual. We were told it’s under new ownership & the bathrooms are updated. I ordered 3 egg breakfast. Service was great. Waitress was really proud to serve homemade bread. Unfortunately it wasn’t good. Sliced WAY too thick. Food was ok but I won’t be rushing back anytime soon. I really wanted to like the food but it’s blah & a bit expensive.

If you are looking for a place that gives you huge servings with little flavor, then this is the place. Their granola pancakes, although as big as a dinner plate, lack fluffiness, little dense, and have little taste other than bread.

This is the first time that I have been here since the new owners have taken over just two weeks ago. Tommy & Gina have remodel the place and the menu has a wide variety of things to choose from. They have home made breads and two soups daily. Along with daily specials, I had the home made raisin bread French toast The bomb and two people could share. They were so nice to give us a sampler of their onion rings, fried zucchini, and French fries. Along with home made ranch dressing. Oh and the butter is made fresh daily. I will definitely be back to try something else. Very clean and the service was great.

Came in today for the grand reopening of the iron skillet and they have made some great improvements. The first and of course most important being … wait for it… home made bread! Wheat, white, and raisin bread. .yummmm the menu is updated.. More options. fresh orange juice. Overall excited that the iron skillet got a face lift. everyone should come back and get some great food

Great customer service a bit pricey but you get what you pay for better food not cheap like before great homemade bread and the owners Tommy and Gina are very nice worth a try!

Customer service is awesome, they r kind and very prompt. My cup was never empty. The ambiance is great too. You can tell just by looking at the walls that they have been here a while. Now on to the food, its terrible. I got a Butch Cassidy and a strawberry shake. the butch cassidy is a double cheeseburger with sourdough bread. the meat tasted expired and it was plain as f**k. literally just meat, cheese, n lettace. no spread, no nothing just that. and the shake was choppy(choppy means it still had chunks of ice in it) but it was still not to bad in taste. I wana try this place again but idk if I will. (3 stars) Updated review: Awesome guys. The food had bein upgraded and they added a bunch of new stuff. Keep up the good work guys!

I ordered a cheeseburger and its buns came soggy. The french fries were unsalted. You really have to be a _to mess up a cheeseburger. At least they prepared it in 5 minutes. I’m sorry for my friend who ordered a turkey dinner though, man. That looked like a yellow goo spilled all over the bird. I would complement their portions, but still, it was meager. There are far better diners around in Ontario. Seriously. We were fooled by their snazzy website.

I live down the street from here, second time visiting this place in the last 20 years, not lying. I thought I would give it a try again since it is always really packed and busy. Well, now I remember why I didn’t come back to this place. The food is alright, I had the iron skillet omelet. It has spinach, Swiss cheese, bacon, tomatoes. Came with hash browns and biscuits and gravy. Food is very bland, had to salt and pepper everything. Prices are decent but it’s very mediocre.

I ordered the iron skillet omelet at Iron Skillet, and it was definitely living up to its name. It was full of flavor and had veggies that I love like spinach and mushroom. I was able to substitute the hash browns for fruit with no trouble at all. My boyfriend ordered the chicken fried steak. He hesitated at first having no luck at other restaurants with this specific meal, but this time he was satisfied! He said it was done very well and would eat it again. You can tell that it is a family owned business that you can support in the city of Ontario. Very much like home and provides good portions of food at reasonable prices!

I had never been«not greeted» at a restaurant before, although they were busy. I felt like another receipt number. I had a 3 pancake stack, two scrambled eggs, and hashbrowns, the basic American breakfast, and it did not meet my expectations at all especially since this place has been around for a long, long time. Hashbrowns had an old oil taste, eggs were so so, you can easily tell they are in a rush when making your food and paying no attention to its quality. Pancakes were definitely not soft and had nothing to it. I even put a lot of syrup, which by the way, seems to be diluted in either oil or water, no taste at all. This is my first time here and decided to give it a chance, but no luck. They do, however, have a nice interior, very cozy, although I am there to eat, not to feel cozy. Do not recommend it to breakfast lovers, I can only imagine what the rest of the food tastes like.

Service left a lot to be desired. The busser came over and asked, what drinks do you want? No greeting, no thanks for joining us, nothing. Drinks came quickly though. Waitress took out orders, never repeated the order, just write it down. One the food was delivered she came and asked if we needed a banana or dessert. Lady, I just put one fork fill into my mouth! She didn’t ask how the food tasted. She never came back to refill our waters or iced teas. Foods was just ok overall. French toast tasted like Denny’s, hash browns were also like Denny’s. The home fries were AMAZING though. I got a veggie omelette, the veggies were cooked inside the omelette so it was watery, I couldn’t finish it. The biscuits and gravy were nasty. Some bites were salty, some were peppery. The biscuits were hard as a rock. The food came out really fast though. The décor is kind of a Hodge podge of random things. They had a small TV on that had professional bowling on. The restaurant wasn’t full but it was super noisy! I don’t think we’ll be returning.

This place is like stepping back into the 80s, it has a dinner feel at the entrance with a large vaulted ceilings room with carpet dating back to its opening years. The menu is traditional with daily specials. The staff was welcoming and quick. Our food came out very fast. I had the iron skillet, it had a weird after taste. The home potatoes were tasty and the pancakes were delicious. Overall it was a good place to try out if looking for a quick breakfast restaurant.

We had a big party in the back. The waitress was by herself with no help from any of the staff for serving. It made for a poor experience. We had to send food back that didnt get ordered correctly and our bread was burnt.
