Excellent chicken and waffles. Red beans and rice were cooked to perfection and turkey greens were fantastic.

I was very surprised when I first came here. Before it was an Italian restaurant that wasn’t bad but Italian is a dime a dozen out here. Maple house though is very very good! I saw how it got quite a bit reviews for being open a short time. Better then I was expecting to be honest. Only thing is a separate time we ordered pick up and the sidewinder fries didn’t come with the cheese sauce or whatever it was called. Either way I will be a regular

small diner, friendly service, black cooks so you know the chicken is going to be bomb! chicken combo comes with 2 sides & a leg, thigh, or 3 wings. sides were a good size, but chicken was pretty small… but everything tasted good! check in for a free kool aid

Before I talk about how awesome the food was, I would like everyone to know that I had excellent customer service! It was our first time and a lady named Patience waited on us. She was the epitome of excellent customer service. I considered asking her if she would like a job working for me :) but I need her to wait on me next time I got to Maple House… And I will… The food is amazing, hands down. Mac and cheese and waffles are to die for.

We stopped by last night for Dinner for the first time and let me tell you the food was Great and service as well. We didn’t wait that long and it was worth it. You must go everything was delicious! Now we don’t have to drive far for good Chicken and Waffles. Thank you!

This place offers good soul cooking, with scratch made fried chicken, waffles, greens, and Mac and cheese. They even offer Kool-Aid as a beverage! However, the food always takes super long to get and I feel that they are a bit too pricey for their portion sizes. I’d still recommend this place for those who haven’t been before.

Went here for dinner tonight, and firstly, let me say: the other commenters are right that the food takes awhile to be made. I, for one, LOVE this. If you’re prepared and plan accordingly it’s very nice to have your order made fresh for you. If you’re in a rush, wait until you have time, ok? That said, the wait was worth it. My husband and I are staunch Roscoe’s supporters and this place is REALLY good, plus a helluva lot closer. Their waffle is better than Roscoe’s, though I prefer Roscoe’s chicken. It was all very much on point though! We will definitely go here again.

The three of us(my daughter and my little cousin) were celebrating my kid’s 14th birthday and wanted to try something new. Maple House had been on my radar for some time, however, I typically didn’t venture this area. To my surprise, it is located in the same complex as My Delight, which was a score for me since I hadn’t had a cupcake from there in a while either. It was about 2pm at the time, and it was somewhat busy. We were seated although it took for them to take our orders because there was a large party that so happened to be ordering at the same time. Nonetheless, the ladies that worked here were very pleasant. We got a little bit of everything, waffles, fried chicken, mac n cheese, bacon and cheese potato wedges, and an omelet. We all really enjoyed the crispy, tasty fried chicken! You could also tell there was a lot of love .and BUTTER in the mac n cheese. Potato wedges were battered and crispy outside, soft inside. Unfortunately, however, I wasn’t a fan of the waffles. They were quite dense and heavy for my liking. The omelette was also just OK. Overall, we had an enjoyable meal and may find our way back in here in the future.

I haven’t been to many chicken and waffle places but this one has good reviews and it we in the area I was visiting. I placed an order through eat24(which is pretty useful). When I got there the order was ready. The place is pretty big and fairly clean… until you get to the counter. It’s an open kitchen and when you look in… the place is a mess. The waffle irons were all dripping batter and there were some type of shavings all over the floor. Aside from all that, the food was pretty good. I thought the Mac and cheese was mediocre but everything else was great. The rice and beans had a lot of flavor and the chicken was crispy. Everything seemed small compared to the waffle though. It was huge! I got the red velvet one for extra. It was super good. It wasn’t very sweet so it was perfect with the syrup. I also used the check in offer but when they gave us the kool aid I don’t think it had any ice.

I was anticipating this meal for some time hearing that the food here is pretty good. Unfortunately I just walked out without being served. It is 10:50 a.m. on New Years Eve and the place is not all that busy. Looks like there’s only two waitresses. I was seated and waited 10 minutes and no one came to take my order. Plenty of empty tables so I don’t really understand but the problem is here but my sense is that the service isn’t that great all the time. The waitresses seem to being just ignoring me. Oh well it could be just a one time situation. Wanted to add a bit more to this review for the benefit of the management. The hostess seated me in an area where there were several tables that were occupied. There were many unoccupied tables as well. I was asked what I wanted to drink and received water. No one ever came by to say they were busy and they will be right back to get my order. 2 waitresses we’re going back and forth delivering food, getting ketchup, etc for the other tables that were occupied and had food. Someone at least should have come over to me and said we’re swamped right now, which they weren’t, it will get to you just as soon as we finish with the other tables. Communication with the customer is everything in this business. While I was waiting I had the opportunity to view all of the food at the other tables as well as the food that was coming out of the kitchen. Nothing that I saw looked that interesting that would have me to come back to try it. The waffles look pretty ordinary as did most of the other stuff that I saw being served. Doubt that I will come back here again but if you live in the area and haven’t already check them out you should probably give them a try. Hopefully you’ll have a better experience than I did.

The chicken was so good! Not going to lie the wait was starting to irritate me since I had a demanding hunger in the back of my mind but once the food came out phew So worth the wait!

Drove past this place and then looked to validate it on Unilocal.I was in the area and tried it out, so here we go. The order consisted of(2 people): chicken wings(3 each) waffles(original and red velvet for $ 2 more), turkey greens, rice and gravy, red beans and rice, and mac & cheese. Chicken wings: on first sighting I noticed that the wings were tiny. They were like the size of the drumettes you buy for appetizers. They had a nice golden crispy crust, but I feel like it lacked a little bit of flavor. Maybe I should have gone for a breast but I may have gotten a B cup when I like my breast to be a D cup or larger. Waffles: decent sized Belgium waffles with average flavor. The red velvet waffle was good, although a little dry and not as fluffy and moist as the original waffle. The cream cheese frosting on top was good and kinda made up for it. I’d recommend you ask for a second scoop of it and spread that and very little syrup on top. Greens: for turkey greens there was not much turkey in them; and by not much I mean literally one shaving of turkey meat. Not and thin as a shredded beef sandwich, but not as think as a fajita slice of chicken either. Flavor was just okay. Had to add hot sauce to get the flavor popping. Rice and gravy: «really» good flavor on the gravy, not too thin and not that thick jelly like consistency. No addition was required to make this side destroyable. Mac and cheese: good flavor, taste like they added sour cream or something to make it have a little bit of tang to it. Maybe add the bacon to help the flavor over all if you get this side. Red beans and rice: again it was good but nothing to write home about. I found two pieces of sausage inside of my bowl of this side. The pieces were the size of a quarter cut in half. Over all the $ 14 for a dinner meal could have been worth it had the chicken been adult chickens and not baby chickens. Give this place a go and judge for yourself because everyone has their own view point.

Note: do not come here if you are in a hurry. Their food takes a little while to prepare but it is SO worth it. My friend and I both ordered their red velvet waffle — and it was delicious. It wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet, and it was topped with a cream cheese dollop and comes with a side and choice of chicken meat. I chose Mac n cheese and chicken breast, as recommended by my server. The mac n cheese was creamy and rich, and the chicken was nice and crispy on the outside, yet so RIDICULOUSLY juicy and tender on the inside that it could make a grown man cry. I enjoyed every single bite and the wait was worth it.

It’s local and not a thousand miles away + They serve delicious waffles + Cool aid on tap + Always a table available + The chicken is as great as your friend says it is + After hearing some praise from a fellow fried chicken/mac and cheese enthusiast I knew I’d be coming in. The area lacks a good soul food type of menu. There are a few places outside of the local radius, but not many off Mountain. The one thing I would bring up straight away is to be patient. The chicken takes a while and it is definitely worth it. Goods: Red velvet waffles Mac and cheese Greens Fried chicken Red and purple cool aid Onion rings The fried chicken is some of the best I’ve had in a really long time. Well worth the wait. Extremely juicy and crispy all at that the same time. The side fiddle of mac and cheese is always rich, creamy and uncomplicated. FYI they are not stingy with the cool aid. I must of had 3 refills on my last visit. Sugar high for the next 3 days. I like that when I come here there is never a crazy wait period. This may be due to the fact that their location is not as obvious as the other surrounding businesses. If your within 10 miles of this place I highly recommend coming trying it.

Chicken and waffles? Sign me up. Walked in about 12:30pm on a Monday afternoon. Place was half full and they were doing a lot of take out orders at same time, then slowly filled up. Place has different sections for seating, inside by kitchen it is warm enough to make you feel toasty. We sat next to window and with the shades pulled down it was still about 10℉ warmer than anywhere else in there. There is outdoor seating but alcohol is not allowed. Now for the food. They have various lunch specials for $ 12 that all come with a waffle and a side. You can treat yourself to a Red Velvet waffle for $ 2 extra. I opted for 3 wings and yams. Good sized portion for lunch but I did think the wings were a bit smaller than I prefer. The taste was excellent. Whatever they do to the seasoning was perfect, plus the wings were fried to the right consistency; not saturated in oil. The red velvet waffle was amazing! I didn’t eat all of it because I had some sweet potato pie thoughts in my mind. At first they brought me a regular waffle but they corrected it after I pointed it out. Took about another 5 minutes. Paired all that goodness with a couple of Stellas which is on draft. I noticed check after I left and I was billed for one domestic beer. Yeah! That’s bonus beer 2 days in a row. They also have the traditional domestics and shock top on draft plus a variety of bottled beers and wine. Then I decided to order the sweet potato pie and that totally screwed my trip to the gym but it was so worth it(I shared a few bites with the wife). The pie itself was worth the visit. They do sell whole pies for $ 12. Brandi, our server was very kind. She came by several times to check on us. Looked like she was working really hard between all the tables and take out orders. She definitely gets 5 stars. The reason for the 4 stars is because the wings were very tiny, not much meat(wimpy). I thought of that old Hefty vs wimpy trash bag commercial for comparison, I know I just dated myself. Also, the wait. It took 30 minutes to get an order of 3 small wings. There is a note on the table that states fried chicken may take up to 30 minutes to ensure proper cooking but we didn’t order that much. I had plenty of time so it wasn’t a big deal but if you are short on time probably best to call order in. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some good food at a reasonable price. Just remember it takes a while to get your food. Happy eating!

We were in the area for the weekend and randomly stumbled on this place through Unilocal while looking for breakfast restaurants. It was kind of busy on a Sunday morning, but still plenty of available tables. It was nice and sunny outside so we sat outdoors. There was some sort of gathering event with vendors, low riders and music in the parking lot so it was nice sitting outside while listening to reggae music and feeling the light autumn breeze. TIP: Check in on Unilocal to receive a free kool aid drink! Cherry or Grape flavor! I got the cherry flavor and it was a nice little refreshing treat. Lol. Our server was friendly and efficient. Food: + 2 Piece Thigh, Mac n Cheese, Candied Yams & Waffle(Dinner Entrée) $ 13.95 This was surprisingly a lot of food for the price. Although the chicken was on the smaller side, it was lightly battered and tasted delicious. Not too heavy and not oily either. The waffle was huge and fluffy. The mac n cheese were AMAZING, so much cheesy goodness. Highly recommend it. The candied yams were not too sweet and good as well. Overall, I truly enjoyed the food here and the prices are right.

A little soul food located in Ontario. Its towards the mid-back of the Plaza. Near one of the entrances. Right next to the 10 freeway. When I saw this place open up, I had high hopes. I love Roscoe’s and this place is about 15 minutes away from me. I went in for Brunch on a Sunday. It was pretty packed at the time. We were able to be seated right away, but then the wait started. Lucky us. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They are always giving us refills and the owners came to talk to us. The Waffles were made to order and so was the friend chicken. The chicken was really good, perfect texture and flavor. Waffles were awesome too. Call me a fan, now I can come here and enjoy the food and service. You can tell a restaurant is good, by the sheer diversity of its patrons.
