Tacos are AMAZING! I love everything about them! We used them for my sons birthday and everyone was extremely impressed! They never made us feel rushed on time, and were super clean!

This is almost embarrassing, but I’m going to share it anyway. I pretty much hate all the Mexican food in this area. It’s greasy, grizzly, and just not quality food like it used to be growing up here. Long story short, my best friend’s husband Unilocal EVERYTHING in an attempt to find great food. He found The Taco Man. When he brought the food home and opened up the tacos and nachos containers I about died! I know good food when I see it and amazing food when I taste it. This place is A+++. Fresh, interesting and down right awesome. I’m addicted! Way to go Taco Man!!!

We tried the tacos. We ordered 6 beef with chorizo authentic and 1 al pastor killer and 1 asada killer. All were the best ever! We added the pineapple salsa as suggested and it was even better! Certainly a new favorite for a filling lunch! Thank you Israel, you made ordering easy and didn’t laugh at my white-​girl Spanish!

They r ok. They have interesting options but the food was not all that. On a better note my daughter liked the chicken taco.

Saw this place had good reviews so I thought I would check it out. it doesn’t look like much when you pull up but the food was excellent. You won’t regret trying it either.

Best tacos and salsa ever!!! I love coming here on my days off. Worth the drive. Try the pineapple salsa. OMG

This review is based on what happened over the phone and the lack of customer service skills. I hired this company last year for a 40^th birthday event. It went very well. I was impressed but most of all the birthday gal and their friends were very pleased. I called inquiring but having them come to an event for September 14^th. First of all, the girl I spoke with was very rude and has no business picking up a telephone call and have any conversation with anyone. I told her what I would like to have for the event. She immediately says.“What? I didn’t hear you, what do you want?” No joke. I did respond and said, «Wow, you did not hear me at all?» «Nope, she replies what is it do you want?» I am fuming. Customer service is dead! Proven 100% with this girl’s response. She then told me that they were booked for next Saturday and hung up on me. NEVER, NEVER will I do business with your company and I will pass it amongst many, many others to do the same.

The meat is juicy, the salsa is outstanding Doesn’t get better !! And the service is fast.

Called the The Taco Man to cater an event for 80 people less than 24 hours in advance. Israel & Jackie totally came through! When he showed up, I thought for sure it would not be enough food, but it was PERFECT! And so tasty! Everyone loved it! Would absolutely recommend!

Don’t get all the good reviews. As another reviewers mentioned tacos were room temp at best and I can confirm that. The asada and pastor were ok but nothing to rant and rave about. Not even close to being the best. I’ve had but not the worse. The only reason I’m at 3 stars is because of the phenomenal service received the day I was there.

THIS IS THE BEST!!! I’ve never hired a taco catering service. But I’ve been to at least 10 birthday parties with taco catering and they were just OK. BUT THIS IS THE ONE PEOPLE!!! My son’s party was held last Saturday and I’ve been getting calls on how great the tacos were and how tender the meat was. These people were PROFESSIONAL! they were not your average taco man. They also have a restaurant which we stopped and taste tested before we booked. They are not your typical taco catering by some one whos trying to make a quick buck and decided to BBQ for a living. These people are awesome! Never once did I need to instruct them on what to do. I WOULD HIRE AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN!!!

The Food is AMAZING one of the best taco’s you can get without going to Tijuana or downtown (Although I would argue these are better than LA taco’s) Definitely would be recommending them to all my friends.
So why the 4 *‘s and not 5? I went to the website to see their menu and variations of meats because I live kinda far from this place it was a risk. To my surprise this is the first restaurant website I have ever visited that did not have their menu posted online. This is an absolute MUST with pictures included, especially when these guys make some of the best food out there for a great price. Put a menu up and I’ll change it to 5 stars.

I think I got the killer style chicken quesadilla. It was very cheesy and delicious. They top it with cabbage and sour cream and salsa so it’s a bit messy but really good.

Israel has a great vision with his taco restaurant. Definitely different from other taco stands especially with the pineapple jalapeño salsa and el Campechano taco! Soooo bomb, Thanx Israel and the cook for the recommendation on the taco. My girlfriend and I were amazed and will be coming back.

I very rarely (pretty much never) rate places on Unilocal,but I felt The Taco Man deserves a great 5 star review! I visit family in the area often and heard The Taco Man was a must-​have, so we tried it. All I can say is, no joke, these are the BEST tacos I have EVER had. And I eat a lot of Mexican food. Authentic and different than any other restaurant! Definitely not your average drive-​thru taco shop where all the food tastes like every other Mexican restaurant in Southern California (and often tastes like cardboard!). I honestly thought it would be like all the other Mexican places, but I was SO pleasantly wrong! I had the Al Pastor tacos and they were SO delicious!!! Mouth watering is an understatement. And the salsa was different and AMAZING as well!
Recommendations are right, it is a must-​have in the area, and I will be going back again and again. The service was so friendly, operated and run by young entrepreneurs, you can tell they take pride in their work and I’d be happy to see them succeed and stick around so I can keep getting those tacos! Support your local taco shop and these great young people that run it. Kudos Taco Man!

The Taco Man without a doubt serves the best tacos in Southern California! He has catered many events for me and in the last 10 years providing excellent service! Israel is the best! I will continue to hire him an now that he has a taco shop in Montclair you can be sure we will be visiting him more frequently!

After many years of hiring random taco caterers, with varying results, I hit the holy grail when I was referred to Israel, The Taco Man! He elevates such a simple, classic dish to a completely other level. His set up alone made me realize this guy is as legit as it gets. All of his ingredients are fresh, his salsas have the perfect kick, and his ability to accommodate special requests make him truly stand out. I have hired him for VERY large parties and small intimate ones. Each and every time, my guests rave about the quality, taste, cleanliness and professionalism.
Israel isn’t just a taco man, he is THEE Taco Man. I truly can’t wait until the next party so I can eat some of his tasty tacos again. Do yourself a favor and hire him for your next event, your friends will think you’re a genius.

Taco Man catered for my work and the tacos were delicious! The toppings and sides were amazing as well.
I tried the Pork tacos and they were so good, pineapple topped! The salsas were all fresh and flavorful. He was friendly and professional.
