We love this restaurant. Excellent drinks. Even better oysters. However the last 2 weeks we have gone to eat oysters and they were out. Once last Sunday and tonight Saturday. I just don’t understand how I can call to be sure they have them and 20 minutes later they have sold the last 8 dozen. Order more on Thursday. You might be surprised how many you can sell over the weekend. I’m sure we will try again. Michael and Jane Seckinger

Waited too long to get service. The server was all alone to tend to a full restaurant. There was no sign to seat yourself so the entrance was confusing. There were bugs crawling around the wall. Would definitely not go back.

Normally a good place to come to grab a quick delicious bite… Came in tonight around nine for a burger and beer and boy were they slow. Not overly busy but appetizer of a half an order of fried pickles took 30 minutes and burgers came right out after that. Almost cancelled everything but was so hungry that we didn’t want to try someplace else. Burgers were hot and good but fries were cold and undercooked. Didn’t want to hear they were«sorry» again and just ate the burger and paid. Very disappointing meal … this is the second time in a row that we have had an experience like this here. I hope they address it as we used to enjoy coming here.

Bartender was awesome. The food was ok but decent tap beer selection. The area is q bit of a ghost town scene but I loved it. Wish that the food was a bit fresher and had a little more flavor, was average bar food style, nothing too special or to bring you back.

This is more of a bar joint to me. Im not crazy abut their food, I ordered a couple burgers and chicken tenders for our kids. They kids didn’t even eat there food!!! When I went In to pay for my order there was ¾ girls standing around that could have have help me but none of them did. There was beer spilled all over there counter tops. If your looking for a place to sit and enjoy yourself with you family. This is not it.

This place is more a bar than restaurant. Food was barely OK. nice servers. Service was quite slow. Didn’t have anything remarkable. I had a chili burger. The chili was likely from a can. The burger was over cooked and there weren’t even any chopped onions. We were just visiting the area. There are several spots that look similar in the Historic Railroad District. I’d recommend trying one of them. However, if you just want a beer this could be just the ticket.

If you are looking for good burgers, wings and beer in Opelika downtown this is a good place. Heard they had good seafood, but did not try the options. Quick service and the cook made sure our burger was done okay. Worth a stop on if in the area.

I was a part of history in that the original Jefferson’s in Jacksonville, AL was a favorite of mine. So, when Jefferson’s opened in Opelika I was thrilled! They still have some of the best wings and burgers I’ve ever eaten and they’re one of the few places locally with raw oysters. Everyone who goes with us remarks about how wonderful the food is. The problem? The service. You’ll never see the same waitress twice and they seem to be in a constant state of wait staff turnover. This leads to average to below average service and often times your order will be mixed up or take entirely too long. If you’re not in a hurry and have basic expectations for service, the food is worth the trip every time!

My first visit to Jefferson’s was not a good one; however, I’ve been back numerous times now, and each time is delicious! I’ve even taken my family here when they come to visit. On my first visit I ordered a Ceasar salad that had so much dressing on it, I could’ve eaten it with a spoon. The dressing wasn’t even good. The cook HAD to know that when the chicken is swimming, you’ve put a little too much on it! My husband and I decided to give it another try in hopes it was just a fluke. I haven’t ordered a salad again, for fear it may be another terrible experience, but I have found a couple of dishes that I LOVE! Hands down my favorite item on the menu is the chicken finger sandwich, with the chicken tossed in the medium wing sauce. Their sweet and sassy sauce is also pretty amazing. It’s like a honey mustard meets bbq sauce that’s exactly as the name suggests, a little sweet and a little bite to it. My husband loves the philly sandwich. It’s fully of ooey gooey cheesey goodness! I’ve tried their regular fries and they are just okay, but their curly fries are really good. My only real complaint about this place is the service. We usually have to wait a few minutes for a table, but that’s expected since it’s a pretty small place. With that being said, there’s no reason it should take twenty minutes before the waitress realizes your cup is empty. There always seems to be enough servers to go around, but the service is continually at a snail’s pace. The servers are always friendly, so I try to be patient. It’s something they really need to work on, though. All in all, I’m a fan of Jefferson’s. I just know it’s never going to be a quick meal.

For a burger and crinkle fries that looked so appetizing, it ended up tasting average. I had to dump a layer of my own BBQ sauce at home and more ketchup on the fries to taste anything. The fries were also stale.

I like the sports bar/restaurant atmosphere. Had hot wings both times I’ve eaten here, the wings are really good. Many levels of hotness to choose from. I got a grilled chicken wrap for lunch, it was ok. The wrap ended up mushy from the juice coming from the chicken. I wanted to get the grilled shrimp but for lunch it just seemed to much to eat(2 sides and texas toast). I did notice that its their special for sundays, so maybe I’ll go for Sunday dinner and try it out. Also would liked to have seen a veggy side, like the southern staple green beans! I mentioned to my husband, it would be fun to come during football season, lots of flat screen tv’s!
