This Niffer’s location didn’t quite live up to the bar set by the original Niffer’s in Auburn. I ordered the ½ French Dip sandwich and a cup of soup combo. The waitress(who was really friendly and attentive) suggested the poblano cheddar soup, but it came out lukewarm and was way too thick for my taste. Maybe the thickness wouldn’t have bothered me if it were hot, it was just… blobby. Best word I can think of. My sandwich was okay, but certainly nothing special. My mom ordered a chicken breast dish that she normally orders at the original location, but the chicken was so tough and rubbery she couldn’t even chew it up. Next time I’m in downtown Opelika, I’ll visit one of the other nearby restaurants and save my Niffer’s visit for the Opelika Road location.

2 words Fried Oreo’s! Good food, excellent service super friendly. Had the sliders and tots so good. Also chicken fingers and burrito were good too. Corn nuggets yummy appetizers But the star was the fried oreo’s. Ate outside on the patio very relaxed.

Extremely rude staff… they would give bon qui qui a run for her money. I have been going here since I was a kid but lately they have not been the place that I grew up knowing. The orders are generally wrong when I go, the staff is rude and seem like they couldn’t care less about you’re experience.

I was in town on business and wanted a good burger and beer. Located on the downtowns square near some railroad tracks, the outside patio is the first thing you spot. When you walk in, you are greeted by an open layout with a small bar tucked away in the back. That bar is exactly there I headed. The bartender was pleasant friendly and knowledgeable. I ended up ordering the Chipotle burger with tots. Unfortunately, you could not get the burger to order and that was a bummer. The burger was cooked medium well and that took quite a bit away from the burger for me. The tots were on point, but the burger not so much. They try and mask the overcooking with the toppings, but it sadly just does not work. Overall, the burger issue was nothing that would keep me away in the future… but, I may search for dinner elsewhere before hitting Niffers up for beer to round out my night.

Meh! We followed all the billboards and ads that said Niffers was the best burgers in the area. I feel bad for the locals because if this is the best, you folks are deprived! I got the black & blue — decent amount of blue cheese but the burger was extremely dry, was missing the blackened spices and the bacon was undercooked. The kid got some gigantic 1 lb burger with fried egg and bacon — his was super dry too. Burgers need to have a little juice and moisture or you might as well eat shoe leather! Cajun fries had no seasoning and the tater tots were overcooked and hard. Drink special was $ 3 margaritas. Absolutely no tequila in my drink. Service was not good and certainly not friendly. She never checked to see how our food was, refill drinks, etc. She seemed more involved with the few customers sitting outside. We should have gone to Wendy’s — I’m sure the burgers would have been a whole lot better!

Food and service were excellent. Like the atmosphere. And, I noticed the health rating was a 99! The menu has a great selection of entrees to choose from. Will definitely go back the next time we are in Opelika or would be worth the drive.

Good restaurant. Newly renovated downtown building. Hardwood floors, open space, plenty of TVs, music. I had the turkey avocado sandwich… it was OK. Casual, sports bar type feel.

I’ve been here about 3 times. My parents go more often. It’s a great atmosphere with great food. Last night I went with my parents. The kitchen was a little off their game. I ordered orange and blue burger with Cajun fries. The burger was overcooked & the fries were plain w/no seasoning. My dad ordered the pepper jack burger w/extra bacon and they forgot it too. My mom got the country fried steak dinner, it was right and man, was it a lot of food! Two huge country fried steak patties. The server, Jennifer, was good. She caught the food mistakes & corrected them before we even said anything. Mistakes happen, no biggy. We come back because the service is great & the food is almost always perfect & delicious!

This was my first time at this location bc I usually go the one on opelika rd but this location is pretty nice too. Great family atmosphere with a kids play area. All the burgers are really good. The corn nuggets and chips with their signature dip is awesome too.

This is for the Niffer’s in downtown Opelika. We’ve been here a few times and the food and service are consistently good. It’s a burger joint with a menu of ‘specialty burgers’ and the typical ‘shabby chic’ kitch on the walls. They’ll do black bean or garden burger substitutions on anything and I usually get the Chipotle burger with a balck bean patty. Not the greatest thing I’ve ever had but pretty good. Prices are decent as well(~$ 20 for 2 people) We’ve been to the one up a lake Martin as well and it’s pretty good as well. It’s definitely got a spot on the potentials list if I’m thinking about going out to eat.
