This is a nice place to a girls brunch. I ordered a custom made omelet & their dutch pancake.(Not all for me took half home for the bf… hehe) Anyway, the omelet & dutch pancake def don’t compare to the one I’m use to at Original Pancake House(San Diego location… tried their Anaheim location and not up to par). The omelet was a little dry and the dutch was missing something. It’s a little bland and not as fluffy as the one I’m use to. Maybe I’m biased. BUT one of my gfs ordered the blueberry pancake, my other gf ordered the french toast, and another one ordered the waffle. Their’s was YUMMY. I’d def try this place again. It’s a little on the pricey side, around $ 15ish if I recall correctly but they have a patio outside and they also serve Mimosa’s & Bloody Mary’s ;)

I love 3 Palms but for certain foods specifically and the service. The owners are very attentive and accommodating. They are just genuinely nice people. Even when the lunch crowd rolls over from UCI Hospital, they make time for you. Outside seating is always available which is nice. I go for lunch a lot and dinner from time to time. Their salads are to die for. I love the chicken/apple one. Yum. Also, they bring hot french rolls as soon as you sit down. Double Yum. Burgers are great, pastas are very good, soups… meh. Their chicken salad sandwich is very popular but im not so into mayo so its not for me. All in all, if you want good food prepared in a relaxing environment, then 3 Palms is for you.

Located in the Ayres Inn on Chapman and State College in Orange, this café is surprisingly good. The breakfast buffet is complimentary to guests from 6am to 9am but if you walk in during those hours, I doubt anyone is going to say anything to you. Bacon, sausage, french toast, pancakes, country potatoes, scrambled eggs, salsa, cheese, cereal, breads, and pastries alongside juices and coffees, all at zero cost. Regular menu items are also very good and priced fairly. It’s not the best but it’s definitely a nice, quiet, and affordable place to drop in for a quick bite. Everything else nearby is either in the Block or down the way towards Disneyland and it’s not a fun place to be. I do recommend the 3 Palms Café for the locals as well as those staying at the hotel. Cozy and smart with dark wood and lots of natural light.

I know, I haven’t been saying much since I got my new job as a professional telemarketing scumbag(Mortgage Loan Originator to those of you in the know), but I’ve pretty much frequented all the fast food places within walking distance of the office. Being one not to jeopardize a parking place, I pounded the pavement and found the 3 Palms Café, of the Ayers Hotel. Since I have my lunch break at 2:30pm, I pretty much avoid all the crowds, which is only A Good Thing. I was the only customer and my server was attentive(kinda hard not to with only one customer), sat me down«anywhere», so I opted for a east-facing window. After a quick glance at the menu, I opted for the patty melt with onion rings and an iced tea. At first, I was thinking I’d pay an arm-and-a-leg, since it’s a hotel restaurant; a tad on the high side for a seafood dish or an appetizer. Patty melt was nothing to write home about(heh), but at least they gave me some mustard and the red onions(always an unexpected change) were caramelized nicely. The onion rings were just a touch on the overdone side, with a couple of them being on the almost-burnt scale. It was also a pleasure to lounge in a relaxing room, look around and enjoy the tranquility that you can’t find at the Wendy’s next door and the poor mentally-unstable homeless people interrupting your meal. I rate four-stars, good, but not great. Tax and tip took the total to $ 11.23.
