I wanted to give this place a 4 star but 1 star deducted for management. MY personal rating will be 2 star but I don’t think this is fair because this one thing that bugs me may not apply for others who come to this restaurant. First off, I don’t blame the server at all, it may just be how the business is run and since this is a mom/pops shop, they can make the rules in the restaurant but this one rule will make my family not coming back. So we were there for lunch and we’re greeted right away which is always a good sign. We were seated pretty much right away and the ambiance is great. People are having fun, laughing, song from the 80s-90s are playing on the background but not too distracting. Place is clean and staff seems to be quick on their feet. We were given our menu right away, great service and we when we were ready to order, the server is ready as well. When the server gets to my mom, she is a cancer patient(we do not disclose it to anyone we don’t know) who cannot eat a lot and she tries to order something small from the children menu. We do have 2 small kids that we usually share the entrée plate from so they were not going to order from the kids menu only my mom. The server politely say that this is a menu for kids for this age to this age. This comment from our point of view is basically, «I’m sorry, you’re an adult and you cannot order from this menu» This is the First Time In My Life the server need to clarify that this is a children’s menu. We never get this kind of statement from a server when ordering from big chains like Denny’s, Norms, to smaller mom/pops shop, to high-end restaurants like Ruth’s Chris /Lone Star that we cannot order from the kids menu. My mom always order from the kids menu because of her situation. The server did propose a different entrée but my mom rather get something from the kids menu. To make matter go faster, I told the server that I have 2 kids anyways and I will give that to my daughter. We’re hungry and I just want to order quickly. Food was served quite fast and the server went to my side further from my mom politely asking if this is suppose to be for my mom’s, and I told her, the way we eat, is always family style and we always share our food. Because we always share our food, the server bring many plates that we can use, we thank you. Aside from that, food is fresh, water is always full, the lasagna was delicious, the pancake was sublime. The kids had fun, enjoyed the food and we were out of there with our tummies full. As pricing goes, I think it is well priced for the food, the location for lunch. If you’re looking bang for your buck, this is not the place to go but if you dislike taking food home and you never eat leftover food, local to you, this is the place to go. Food was great but for me, it just got a bit unpleasant(for me) A little quick-note, for those who read this, don’t let my review sway you from trying this place because the food is delicious.

A-Ma-Zing. This is the overall experience. The food was great and the staff was super amazing and friendly. The owner came by and talked with us at length and was so darling. The food was exactly what I wanted in a birthday breakfast/lunch. Those endless mimosas were so nom. Definitely worth the time. Great value, charming atmosphere. We will definitely make this place a regular.

Great food! I definitely suggest the lemon ricotta pancakes. They taste amazing! Bottomless mimosas, what more could you ask for… and only $ 10 for bottomless. Yippee! Also, Champagne does not give you a headache.

Oh my goodness everyone working here was so nice and helpful… You can tell they’re happy to be there and that vibe adds to the amazing food. It was pretty busy on Sunday brunch time so I’d make a reservation next time but we still waited less than ten minutes for a table. The eggs Benedict and bread pudding French toast were both really good and they let you pick any pastry for the Unilocal offer. This is now a favorite breakfast spot and I will definitely come back.

Wow, I am on a roll with my five star ratings, but everything here was just wonderful on a busy Sunday. When all of the other places had a twenty minute wait, we walked right in and were seated immediately, even when this place was pretty full, too. Our eggs and pancakes came out in a timely manner, and it was great that two people brought them out together so no one had to wait, which is often the case in a busy establishment. In fact, I believe that Colleary himself served us, and he seemed like a really nice man upon first impression. I highly recommend the omelettes of any kind and the pancakes were as light and fluffy as any pancakes should be. My only suggestion is that they lay off on the red onion a bit as it seemed to be almost too plentiful, and I am definitely a red onion fan! The others at my table seemed to enjoy the mini potatoes. I was disappointed that they had ran out of their fresh bread, and I believe that they make it there. They forgot one order of toast but promptly and apologetically corrected it. We were offered coffee numerous times – far more than they needed to offer it – when usually at busy breakfast places I am waiting for more coffee. We are coffee snobs and I almost resisted ordering coffee here, but it was actually great, too. For dessert(yes, dessert) I ordered a beautiful Tiramisu for later, as that is always my gage for a restaurant(well, Italian anyway.) The cookies looked scrumptious as did the other desserts. The tiramisu was not really my favourite, but honestly how can you complain with a Unilocal check in dessert? I think that they might have overthought it a bit and should just make a real traditional tiramisu. The bathroom was fairly clean, too, although it could use a little paint, but it was better than any«diner» bathroom I had seen. The patrons and workers alike looked happy to be working there. I was so impressed with this place that I came home to immediately write this review! I had almost forgotten about Colleary’s, and although I don’t often eat out for breakfast, it has now become my number one place to visit for brunch. It was so good that I look forward to returning to try one of their other meals!

THE best breakfast in town. Been there twice now and tried different foods. The flat bread was actually super and the Roman Empire Omelette was superb. I did not have meat in my Omelette, but chose to replace it with Spinach. Yum! The Big Breakfast was excellent too, with nice portions, the eggs are fluffy and good, potatoes seasoned wonderfully and the blueberry pancakes were mouthwatering. The service was friendly and welcoming, and very client focused from keeping your coffee hot and topped off, removing your plate when done and at check out. A+++

The food here was delicious no doubt, but the service wasn’t as much. I came here for breakfast. I ordered Vitoe’s — the eggs Benedict with spinach and mushroom(asked for no meat). I wasn’t sure if I wanted the zucchini pancakes or the English muffin so the waitress let me try both, one for each egg. After I got my food, I noticed there was no ketchup on the table, and I have ketchup with my breakfast potatoes so I slowly started to eat my eggs Benedict while trying to catch the attention of any of the staff. No one seemed to notice me even when I spoke. My boyfriend was practically done with his food by the time I caught someone’s attention, who brought me a little bowl of ketchup and I continued eating. Like I mentioned the food was pretty good and I enjoyed the eggs Benedict very much, both the zucchini pancake and the English muffin, the English muffin more so because it added an extra crunch that the soft pancake couldn’t. I got the free dessert with my check-in on Unilocal and I got the lemon bar from their bakery– I’m all for sweets but this was too much — I knew that if I ate the whole thing I’d have a stomach ache, but it was good in small amounts

Breakfast… yyummy. The food was pretty good here. I got the flatbread bfast sammich, and it was yummy. Definitely ask for the green chiles to the veggie flatbread. Had egg(whites), shrooms etc. The food is expensive. It’s a wine joint, but definitely yummy. Also got some french toast cause this is elf portions here(hello it’s a wine place). French toast lacked… But that i more me than the joint cause i asked for it bone dry. The service was wonderful. Loved the waitress =D Defonitely coming back.

This place was a home run! Perfect for the day of adventure we planned. The service was spot on! I knew that when the waitress commented on my DEADPOOL t-shirt. The food was heavenly. I enjoyed it all the French toast, the eggs — everything was good. The place was busy, and yet there was not one time that we felt ignored or overlooked. I have a new favorite place. **just a side note: a party near us had a billing issue — the Manager and waitress were on it! They addressed the issue with smiles and the party of 6 left happy.

Fantastic Breakfast. We had the Eggs Benedict with sausage on zucchini pancakes. Perfect! My bride enjoyed the Bread Pudding French Toast with fresh berries and a cup of decaf. Yummy Deceiving from the outside in a strip mall. They serve lunch and dinner and also have a wine and craft beer bar. Looks like it would be a nice place to rent for a wedding reception too. A+ for the waitress as well.

I’m a fan!!! Now I have read some of the other reviews so let me be clear to what I am reviewing. Happy hour!!! Happy hour at the bar is awesome, I have not done breakfast or even dinner there. $ 5 for flatbread pizza. The flatbread has fresh ingredients. Sausage and peppers. BBQ chicken. A margarita pizza. For five bucks. You can’t go wrong. I think it’s from 4 – 7 m-f at the bar. They have five or six craft beers. And they have a large screen tv that is usually playing a sporting event of some type. Better than the ambiance or the food is the staff. The staff is great. Friendly caring and always making sure that you are having a good experience. Don’t be fooled by this place. It’s in the Target shopping center over by Dominos. When you walk in the first thing you see is the pastry counter. Walk in a little further and you will find the bar. It looks like a very high end fine dining place but truly it’s a place that I feel comfortable walking into in a pair of shorts. this place brings in some pretty neat clientele as well. I have found myself talking to more people at the bar. And trust me I’m not that guy who sparks up a conversation just because you sat near me at a bar. There’s something about this place that is just great. I know they are trying to update and improve the happy hour menu but I tell you what. This is a great place to sit, relax, have good food good drinks and watch some sports.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and ordered the Grilled Chicken Cibatta sandwich with a side of fruit. The sandwich is so tasty. Its loaded with grilled chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and their rich and creamy aoli spread. The bread is so soft it practically melts in your mouth. The side of fruit was fresh, cold, and juicy. After my lunch I asked my server for two pastries from their bakery(lemon raspberry cake ball and a macaroon). Over small talk with my server she discovered I was pregnant and what she did next was so sweet and thoughtful. After paying my check I walked over to the bakery where the server was packaging up my treats. She walked the treats over to me on the other side of the counter and handed me a little pink box that said congratulations handwritten on the lid. She also mentioned that she put an extra treat in there since I was now eating for two. It was beyond thoughtful and completely made my day! By the way the treats were so good!!!

We really like Colleary’s. While the Bistro is really good, the bakery is simply amazing. This is a great little spot for a wonderful breakfast or lunch. My son and I came here the other day for a late breakfast/early lunch. My son ordered the French Toast, and I had the Cobb Salad. My son loved the French Toast. I stole a small bite, and I thought it was great too. The fruit looked fresh and delicious as well. My salad was also really good. With tons of chicken, tomato, egg, bacon, blue cheese, and avocado, the salad was hearty and quite tasty. I would order this healthy salad again. The bakery is awesome here. It’s hard to avoid the delicious temptation as you walk past the wonderful items on the way to the bistro. The case is full of great pastries. Whenever I’m here, I have to order some muffins, croissants, or cookies to-go. The cakes in the case also look heavenly. Like beautiful works of art, the cakes are as lovely to look at as well as eat. We always drool over the nice selection of items on the way out of the restaurant. The restaurant hasn’t been open long(maybe 4 or 5 months) but has already become very busy. Since Orange doesn’t have many good spots open for lunch, most of the locals have accepted Colleary’s with open arms. The ambience was quiet and relaxing when we were here last, and the service was great too. We also liked looking at the cute Valentine’s Day decorations and pastries in the bakery. This is such a lovely family-owned restaurant. With a solid restaurant and an off-the-charts delicious bakery, I hope this newer establishment continues to do well. Colleary’s is definitely one of our favorite breakfast and bakery spots!

A Bistro In Orange! 3.5 Stars! This is the first place I’ve been in a long time that is called a bistro and actually resembles a bistro. «Whimsical» interior that is very festive for the holiday! The first thing that came to mind was«Jack’s Bistro» from Three’s Company. The set up is similar. ~Menu– 4 Stars They offer a full menu from various breakfast dishes, lunch and dinner items. I ordered the meat loaf. I also tried a pasta and the kids pizza. The items were AOK(3.5 to 4 Stars). The kids pizza, however, was super good(Solid 4 Stars). ~Service and Price-2 Stars Service was mediocre at best. We had some issues with presentation that I won’t discuss here. They were taken care of but should have been noticed prior to serving. Leaving our glasses empty and our pallets dry is a big«No No!» in my book. It took more than a fleeting moment to flag down the staff to get drinks. Now, service being 3 stars at best leaves me with the complaint about the price. I just cannot validate them charging higher end prices for steaks and pastas when the service is average. The Bistro offers a vey whimsical open feeling that is just ripe for families. In fact, it felt like it was all family there with customers even saying«Hi!» I love this! They also offer a good selection of wines and bar seating adjacent to the bakery. Yup, they offer a good selection of bakery items but I didn’t get to try them. ~Hours!!! Check Unilocal, their webpage or call for hours. Some nights they are not open. Overall, AOK and then some. This is a newer place and I am interested in seeing how they developed.
