READ! I don’t want to give them a bad rating because it’s really bad for bussiness. They don’t take any form of card so it’s cash only. I didn’t have cash so they pointed me to a atm. I went to get $ 20 out but then they couldn’t break a $ 20. They sent someone to go get change but I was in a rush. I ended up paying $ 20 for my food. The food was good and really nice people but if anyone reads this that knows them. Please let them know that they need a card service. It’s 2016. bussiness could fail just because of that.

Oh man this food was amazing! This is a a mom and pop place. If you’re looking for delicious food, this is the place! The black mole is amazing, the best I’ve had! The taste of the mole is complex, sweet and spicy! Highly recommend this place!

Food was very tasty. The server was a sweetheart & even gave us extra food to taste. They do make their food from scratch and to order so it does take time to be made but it’s worth the wait. I’m definitely coming back to this little spot.

I am giving this place 5 stars based on the food only. For the last couple of years, when I come to S. Cal I always eat at El Moctezuma(used to be next to the Hyatt in Garden Grove then found it in Santa Ana). Anyways, this trip it was closed. So on my last day in area, I tried El Moctezuma 3. My husband was hesitant because it looked sketchy from the outside. He went in and ordered to go memeles and chiliquilas. The rest of the family wanted to eat some place else. I tried both plates and they were both delicious. I mean even the corn tortilla she used for the memeles had flavour. I let my husband taste since he was going to eat someplace else and the next thing I know both of my dishes were gone. It was that good. Good thing the family went someplace else to eat because both dishes were spicy, but spicy with lots of flavour. This place isn’t cheap, at least for what I ordered, but I will be back.

I’ve eaten here several times for lunch and it’s always been very good. Service is a bit slow since it’s just one lady taking the orders and making some of the food. Otherwise the salsas are delicious, handmade fresh tortillas and tasty aguas frescas. I recommend the chilaquiles con pollo and the black mole. It’s obvious that the proprietress is very proud of her food and it shows in the quality. Prices are also very reasonable.

Awesome mole– homemade tortillas — reminds me of my mother’s mole. Chilequiles were yummy. The table salsa very tasty with a nice kick. Try the melon agua. Clean restaurant, friendly service.

Great authentic Oaxaca style Mexican food. Must try. Feels like your eating home cooking and not from some chain restaurant. The owner Guille makes you feel right at home and like I said earlier the food is like your eating right out of a Mexican kitchen at your friends house.

I’ve never had Oaxacan food before but it definitely was tasty! Definitely a ma and pop place! My friend had take me here to originally try this one dish that is basically a «Mexican pizza» consisting of carne asada, chorizo, chicken, layered on top of lettuce tomatoes, cheese, and black beans… ALL over a handmade tortilla. Instead we shared the botana literally was like a boat full of food! It had four sopes(covered with black beans and queso fresco), two cheese empanadas, a pile of delicious chorizo, four slabs of grilled pork, two pieces of grilled nopal, nopales ensalada(chunks of nopales, tomatoes, onion… basically a cactus pico de gallo), and two kinda of cheeses: Oaxaca(?)? Cheese and queso fresco to go along with two LARGE handmade tortillas! OHHHANDALSO A GIANTMORTAROFTHISDELICIOUSFIERYSALSACONCOCTION!(Literally kept eating spoonfuls as my mouth burnt to death) Food was delicious, had to also order some horchata(which is freshly made inhouse!), by far one of the best horchatas I’ve had! Perfectly spiced and not overwhelmingly sweet like ones I’ve had before! Would definitely come again!
