Blah as it is so close to my house the fact I am super lazy and will not go there after a long day at work says something. I could go over to the frozen section at albertsons and heat it up at home for the same taste. You can also go to the ranch market and get a salad bar 5 times the size. The last time I went here the service was unbearable the girl brought me the wrong order and when I went and told her she rolled her eyes shrugged and walked away and fifteen minutes later I got my food.

This place is packed. People standing around waiting for tables to be cleared and cleaned. Line is out the door and only one person taking orders. The owner needs to get his customer service skills down. The one star is for hopelessly lousy organizational skills with customer service.

Great food. Ok prices. Tacos are amazing. Breakfast all day is convenient too. Very clean dining area inside. Always nice employees too.

I’ll keep it short and sweet. Shitty service. They always pout. Seems kinda rude if you ask me.

I live near by, so for the convenience, I go to John’s place once a while. I like their Gyro, chicken strips are not bad either. It’s not bad, but definitely not the best.

Nice little«throwback» style restaurant with its décor. I had the breakfast burrito and it was delicious. My daughter had the pancakes and liked them. We will come here again.

Tried to call this place several times the past few weeks to inquire about food and drink specials. Is this place even open?

Food quality has gone down over the years. It is pretty expensive for the quality of the food that is decent. Breakfast burrito is pretty good however

My family and I have been going to Johns Place for years. We’ve noticed the quality has been going down lately. After this morning we will never dine there again. My mother and I were served breakfast with a bite(yes, a full bite mark) in a piece of our toast, followed by the discovery of several hairs in her hashbrowns. We left immediately and called the county health department. So gross!

I ordered a BLT sandwich and what I received was either a joke or a complete lack of quality control on properly making a BLT sandwich.(See the Pic) B — Bacon L — Lettuce T — Tomato Unfortunately, they only put in 2 slices of Bacon and actually charged me a WHOPPING $ 10.45 for the BLT combo. I am never going back to this place again and anybody reading this should avoid a place like this for being so stingy and ignoring a customer complaint. John’s place is more like a Scrooge Place when it comes to sharing the Bacon on sandwiches. The other points I was disgusted with: 1) Ketchup bottles look like they are from 2008 that have been refilled about a 1000 times. If you are going to reuse ketchup bottles, at least have the decency to wash them. 2) Soda Fountain and Salad Bar is next to the bathroom. I could smell the stench coming from the Bathroom when getting my drink. Is this even legal for sanitary purposes? 3) The Fries smelled weird! That’s all I’m going to say.

My family and I live near johns place and have been going there for years and recently it has gone down hill and fast! The quality and quantity of their food is terrible! The owner seems to not want to put a dime back into their restaurant. It is a shame since there are really no quality American style restaurants around OPA.

I’m giving it 5 stars only for the Greek salad with grilled chicken. I have not tried other dishes here. It is a beautiful salad with nice grilled chicken and delicious toasted pita bread, a generous helping of delicious feta cheese, kalamata olives, tons of veggies — a very generously made salad and fresh and healthy. I always get it and my kids love to share the chicken bread and tomatoes with me. It’s huge and enough to share with another person. Also I like the atmosphere there — it is just an easy going place that tolerates my young kids.

Went through the drive-thru …ordered a club sandwich and a BLT. told them«NOMAYO»…the girl repeated back to me, «NOMAYO»…when I picked up the sandwiches, I confirmed…“NOMAYO”…the girl agreed…“NOMAY” as she handed me the bag with the sandwiches… I got the sandwiches home and opened the bag… both sandwiches thick and saturated with Mayo. I’m sure the kids at John’s Place thought it was very funny… I put the sandwiches in the trash and will never go back to John’ Place!

Perfect place for a bite to eat. Beautiful atmosphere wonderful Christian music playing in the background and the food is terrific and a perfect price for the amount of food you get and the quality.

Prices have skyrocketed. Like up 40% for most stuff, and you are not getting anything more for it. Food is acceptable wide-spectrum diner stuff. Clean and bright with lots of windows. This is NOT a 1-dollar-sign restaurant, as it is rated, and I’m out of reasons to support this local independent anymore during my days in the canyon.

I’ve been here a few times so I decided it was time to write a review. Solid 3 and a half stars! It’s way better than a fast food restaurant, with large portions and decent prices. It’s more like a diner but you order at the counter then they give you a number and you sit down and they serve you in On my last visit I got the kids breakfast and it was quite a large portion with a huge pancake. My fiancé loves the breakfast burrito… that thing is HUGE. I had the grilled cheese once and it was just a basic grilled cheese but still good. The salad bar inside the dining room looks fresh and alot of choices. I was here at breakfast time so they were just setting it up. We had to wait almost 10 minutes for our food but it came out looking like a fresh home cooked meal. Overall, this place hits the spot and fills me up. I don’t go out of my way to eat here, but the few times I’ve been here over the past few years it’s been good.

So the place has a more old ruby’s style look and it kind Of looks like you’re eating outside from the inside if that makes sense, lol… As far as food goes, I got an avocado omelette… My opinion nothing special and way over priced. I gave this place three stars because the booths were super cozy!

I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and got this nasty mess. It’s like mayo mixed with BBQ sauce. Also this cost me $ 8 and i only ate the chicken. Very disappointing

Well it’s a diner that serves breakfast all day(AWESOME), the usual hamburgers and patty melts and they even have some dinner specials. I attempted to order the meatloaf and I asked the person working there if it was any good and they looked at me and were like«umm I don’t know». Meatloaf is usually my diner go to meal but I guess today is different, so I ended up with a hamburger and fries. Hamburger was good nothing special, fries were hot out of the fryer and were cooked to perfection, crunchy on the outside, soft in the inside. The décor of this place is pretty awesome, although I wish I would have worn my Don Johnson outfit!!!
