This review is for my AWFUL drive thru experience with Gabriella. There was no line but when I got through to the speaker she put me on a 2 minute hold before I can order. When she came on I ordered a large white chocolate latte. I also asked her if they already sell gluten free donuts. She said«yes we do but only 2 flavors: glazed crème filled and glazed with chocolate crème». I said«wonderful! I’m so glad Krispy Kreme sells gluten free now» and then I told her I’ll get«1 gluten free glazed crème filled». The whole time I was having a conversation with her, I was on the phone(Bluetooth) in the car so my friend heard the whole exchange. I come to the window to pay and pick up my order and a young man was there and recited a whole different order with obviously a wrong amount. He handed me my coffee and asked him about my gluten free donut. He apologized and said they don’t have have that. At that point I thought I was being punked. I asked for Gabriella who took my order and she appeared. When I asked her about our conversation earlier, she flat out lied that she told me they had gluten free donut and acted like I made it all up. If she misheard or misunderstood, she should have just admitted it and NOTLIE. My friend who heard all this in my car was flabbergasted as well because she witnessed and heard the earlier exchange. I drove off seething and as I reached for my coffee, it was a) not hot(like it’s been sitting in their kitchen for awhile) and b) it was the wrong flavor coffee. What the!

I miss the good old days when Krispy Kreme would give away a free original glazed donut to anyone that walked in when their«HOTNOW» sign was lit up. Nowadays they only give free donuts to children. I guess they want to hook them while they’re young. Whenever I come here I reminisce of my broke days of coming in for only the free donut and a cup of water. Sometime we would be 10 people deep, and none of us had to spend any money. I guess that’s why they stopped doing it XD I love coming to this location and watching the donuts getting made. Factories are fascinating The donuts have not changed. They are melt in your mouth delicious and go great with a cold drink of milk.

Late night donut run, we went through the drive through which was immediate and quick. We got the assorted donuts and we ate the jelly donut as well as the lemon donut. The lemon donut was delicious and zesty, it wasn’t too sweet and the lemon flavor really came through and accentuated the taste of the donut. The jelly donut was delicious, the first bite was a chewy delectable goodness and the powdered sugar really came through and made the donut melt in my mouth. The second bite oozed strawberry-jelly goodness — again the jelly wasn’t too sweet it was just right and complimented the donut nicely. The coffee donut — as you can see — was not our favorite. It was just boring and the coffee flavor was extremely basic. Not my favorite. Overall, a good experience. Not bad for a late night run :)
