I picked up my to-go order for rare steak, brisket, and some other meats. I’m saying some of the meat because there was no way that was beef! The broth was lukewarm at best like it had been sitting out which makes me feel weird about the raw meat as well sitting out with a hot broth underneath it! This is a recipe for a contamination! When I was trying to ask them where to get the food that I put in the order, the lady on the phone told me to look it up on Unilocal.I have to call back again and I asked her what was right next door to her because there were so many stores and my Google Maps was giving me the address across the street. And so everybody knows the next door shop is Jersey Mike’s Subs, not like the lady on the phone had told me very ignorant Lee. I went in there and was a little bit upset about the cold soup and the wrong directions the lady who had given me the wrong directions went in the back very very silly instead of saying sorry and she would learn where she works.

I go when I’m craving a sandwich. I get the #54 and 1… little pricey but well worth it

VERY disappointed! Was excited to find a local Vietnamese restaurant and just ordered a to-go order of spring rolls. We couldn’t even eat them… when we opened the box at home the shrimp was obviously rotten and stunk so bad! Horrible! To bad… guess we’ll have to look elsewhere.

Very good phở and generous portions. The rice with veggies and tofu was also good and had a lot of bok choi, carrot, and broccoli. Iced coffee was standard. $ 2.50 for a hot tea was unexpected since it was just a regular bag of jasmine tea in a little pot. Service was good.

The Thai ice tea is too sweet and the beef taste kinda weird, highly recommend spicy chicken wings

I don’t want to write a bad review, but something bad happened with my to go order and when I called to tell them about it… they asked me not to Unilocal about it rather than trying to fix it… Tonight I ordered to go food and when I opened my peanut dipping sauce it was absolutely covered in MOLD. So GROSS! They offered no refund and no way to make up for this. Instead they only said«please don’t Unilocal this». I’m really sad about this. I have gone here many times and this is my first bad experience, this is why I’m still giving 3 stars… But I’m so freaked out, I can’t ever go back. I’m very sad about this. I loved it here. It’s like a bad breakup :(

This place is a small little hole-in-the-wall, inexpensive and tasty! I always get the same thing. A giant(large, under $ 9) vegetarian Phõ bowl, often without noodles(funny, I know). I usually order extra bok choi. Sometimes I get the steamed spring rolls also. When I do get noodles, I tell them easy on the noodles. They serve it with a LOT of noodles otherwise. Less noodles = more veggies. YUM! The soup is fun to assemble and the portions are extremely generous. I often have extra to take home. The vegetables are always bright green and super fresh. The service is fast and friendly. We go pretty regularly.

Not a lot of phở places in Orange, but this place is actually pretty good! $ 7.50 for a small $ 8.75 for a large. I ordered a small #13 which came with meat balls, brisket, and rare steak, and it was a very generous amount that filled me up. The broth was good, not too oily. The meat was soft and fresh. They also have nice décor, doesn’t make you feel dirty. I also ordered a Vietnamese coffee and it was in a big cup. Don’t rush out the door, when they give you your check they’ll give you complimentary ché(dessert). Not much to complain about, thumbs up for me!

EGGSANDWICHANDPHOFORBREAKFAST… there’s nothing better on a rainy day. If you are looking for a SOLID Phở restaurant in Orange then this is the one! There menu has expanded since my last visit so it will be neat to try some new and interesting dishes I’ve never seen. My favorites our rare steak phở, egg bahn mi sandwich and the clay pot dish. This place is super clean and staff and owner are super sweet. Prices are mid-range for phở shops but it’s WORTHIT.

First time trying Phõ and it was super delicious! Ordered the pork spring rolls with peanut sauce on the side. Because I am sick I ordered the chicken phõ. It comes with bean sprouts, basil, jalapeño and lime wedges on the side to put in the soup. Get ready for your nose to run. A must when you aren’t feeling your best!

My parents had been raving about this Phở place they just found for weeks. So, naturally once I arrived for a visit I needed to try it. What the what? This place is not nearly as good as our old standbys in Irvine and Garden Grove – even the spot down the street from their house is better. Hopefully we just came on an off night? Because the phở was fine, and that’s what they’re peddling here, I’ll give it three stars. My beef phở was fine, pretty typical flavors, adequate spice, the meat was fresh. However everything else we ordered was awful. Their jasmine iced tea had a soapy aftertaste – as though someone hadn’t rinsed the Dawn out of the glass fully. Their boba tea was served and the boba was stuck congealed at the bottom of the cup in one large wad. I couldn’t break it up or get my straw to function. The chicken my sister ordered was spongey and dry.

I was in mood for Phở one evening and cruised in here for take out. For a low cost restaurant, the facility is actually quite nice and attractive. The Phở was tasty. I always get tendon(I don’t know how many white boys walk in Vietnamese restaurants and ask for tendon Phở), and the pieces were thick and had a good snap to them, which I like. The broth was decent, not the most flavorful I have had, but good none the less. They are mot convenient option for me headed home to get some Phở, so on those rare cold So Cal nights, I will probably be back.

Finally checked off another bookmark on this cold, cloudy December night(12⁄28) when everyone and their brother was craving hot soup, and for good reason! Brrrr Chilly Willy the Penguin says get me some soup son! I dialed up the menu and since I was craving Phở but didn’t have a souuuuuuper-sized hunger I went straight to the chase. I like beef and shrimp /seafood, but I’m normally a chicken fan /binger so I scanned their list only to find out they had not 1 but 2 kinds of chicken phở. Oh my Phở-king gawd! Decisions! XD Called up and put in a order of small-ish Phở and side of steamed rice. They said my total would be about 9.50 and ready lickety-split. Plus the people on the phone were super friendly and made me feel happy. The soup was tasty and they boxed it up nicely, with the meat, veggies, and noodles all packaged separately for proper mixing, freshness, and customizing per customer. There was more than ample broth and good helping of meat(about 10 – 12 pieces, equivalent to 1 average chicken breast), and I therefore couldn’t even finish the«small» soup. Note I have a proper appetite and ability to knock things out when needed! To me it wasn’t the absolute best broth of vietnamese soup I’ve ever had, but it was definitely tasty and warmed me up heartily. They close at 9:00 daily, so be sure to get your order in fast or else be prepared to make the long trudge to GG/Westminster for some late night soups. I actually suggest ordering while driving(though not necessarily at the same time), because this place is so fast that if you order at home, the food will be ready and cooling down by the time you are still leaving your driveway. I told them what I wanted and they literally said it would be ready in 5 minutes. Since it would take me 5 minutes to get ready and in my car, and 10 minutes to drive there I was kinda bummed cuz it wouldn’t be piping hot anymore! Oh noes… lesson learned. This place is in Orange, directly across from In N Out. Which is very north Irvine/Tustin adjacent, since it’s kind of a Phở/viet food dead-zone, it’s very nice to have this in my very own backyard. I’ll definitely be back to dine in and try more things since they have such a nice variety of menu choices(calamari and chicken wings I’m looking at you). Ample cozy seating — tables and booths — available for you with little waiting at this clean and efficient family business.

This is probably the best phở place I’ve been to in the area. To begin, I got the calamari and«unforgettable» chicken wings. The calamari was crispy and went well with the sweet chili sauce it came with. For the chicken wings, yes it was unforgettable! The fish sauce glaze on the chicken was spicy and sweet. For the entrée, I had the glazed pork with rice. It was a little sweeter than I expected but it was delicious. 10⁄10 would come again

Came here this Sunday with my fiancé and had a really good time! We had the Phở Tai(combination, rare steak & brisket), Phở Bo Vien(meat balls), and the CHICKENWINGS — UGHSOGOOD! The phở broth was hearty and nicely seasoned, it definitely wasn’t over salted and you taste the star anise and cloves(if you grew up learning how to make traditional beef phở, this is right up there). But the real show stopper was the order of chicken wings. Who would have thought that something so simple — fried marinated chicken wings — could be so damn delicious. They’re sweet, salty, garlicky perfection. Definitely going to come back to try their other goodies, but also to get some more wings!

The food here is so good! It never disappoints. I was able to try the new house chicken wing special! The owner said they just added it to the menu two days ago. It was really good. Flavorful and crispy! I got the phở with rare steak, flank, brisket. It was very satisfying. Definitely one of my favorite phở places.

#100Reviews2015 Review No. 12 Wow. I’m not even certain why I stayed for the meal. except that it was coldish, raining, and fairly floodlike outside at the time… Roommate and I were greeted and seated pretty quickly, and we were very excited, I mean, why wouldn’t we né, right? Cold night, new phở place just minutes from the house, with vegetarian options on the menu — so we thought. We ordered the crispy tofu spring rolls, which turned out to be quite tasty, and definitely a repeat performance, should I ever decide to return to this establishment. I ordered water and roommate ordered the hot jasmine tea. Sounds perfectly normal, right? Nope. Tea was served in this hinky little container that burned her fingers whenever she picked it up, no matter where she placed her hands on the damned thing. We put our orders in for the vegetarian phở, and which point the waitress tells us that the broth is either chicken or beef. We of course wanted to know why then, was it called vegetarian? Long answer short, it had veggies in it. Jeeebus, help me, it physically hurt not to roll my eyes at this point, because the waitress was telling us that they don’t make a vegetarian broth, and repeating it, like a mantra. We asked for a minute to think about our options, and the waitress went away, and came back, less than a minute later to tell us that they did, in fact, make a veggie broth. We decide to give it a shot, and settled back in our chairs to wait. And wait. And wait some more. Did I mention waiting? The tables surrounding us received their steaming bowls of phở with monotonous regularity while we sat, awaiting the miraculous arrival of our own damned soup. Finally, it arrived. No apologies for the wait, no explanation that they’d had to hunt up the ingredients for our veggie broth, blah, blah. Warily, hungrily, we began to eat. Roommate doctored hers with a ton of sriracha and other assorted sauces, and I had mine plain with a bit of lime. It was tasty enough, but the broth tasted like that veggie soup base that I get from the 99 Ranch market. That’s fine, I didn’t even mind that, I just kind of felt that it wasn’t something that should have taken an extra 30 minutes. After the waitress collected payment, we were given little foam cups of this tapioca and taro dessert, tasty, but not a reason to return. I believe that a slightly longer drive is in order for my next phở experience.

Not the best Viet food I’ve had but it’s definitely good and in Orange, so can’t complain about that! I’ve tried their phở and rice dishes and they’re pretty good. The phở’s broth is tasty although it doesn’t necessarily taste like it’s been cooked for hours. It tastes like it could be just good MSG in it. I’ve tried the thai tea everyone raves about and it’s ok. Small phở starts at $ 7ish and large at $ 8ish. This place will definitely save me many trips to Westminster and satisy many take out cravings! Unilocal 100 Challenge! 2015: 13⁄100
