I had chicken soup and spring roll! Yummy! I will keep this on my love it list. The food is fresh and the service is top notch. They offer a 10% discount for cash. Be sure to try this cozy little strip mall restaurant… You won’t be disappointed.

Came here once cause was craving for Phở, near my home, and didn’t want to drive all the way down to Westminster. Bad mistake, I ordered a Phở Special bowl large… when it came out, it look like it was a bowl serve for a child, little noodles, a few pieces of meat, broth was awful. Worst yet, the bowl cost 8 bucks! Ridiculously overpriced! No bean sprout. I learned my lesson and never to eat Phở in Orange city anymore, just drive straight to Westminster and get delicious Phở for $ 5. This place will run out of business soon. Didn’t even bother leaving tips!

I forgot I came here until Unilocal reminded me. Speaking of Unilocal,I still hate this freaking review system. Can we get some half stars please? This place is a solid 3.5 but I can’t go up to the 4. The thing is, when I look up places, I usually won’t go to three star places but will go to four star places. I feel guilty not giving them four but it wouldn’t be fair to the superior Phở places. But if you’re in the neighborhood and want some Phở, by all means DO go here. Don’t get me wrong at all, it’s good and you’d be a fool to drive all the way to Garden Grove/Westminster if you’re already in Orange.

The only reason I have rated this place a one star is because I cannot give it a negative 5 stars! Problems: 1) The men’s bathroom was flooded with water by the wash basin 2) the paper towels in the bathroom were gone. The Food: 1) I ordered some egg rolls. they were watery and tasted like cheap, Chinese egg-rolls yuck! 2) I ordered the Bo Vien with no noodles and beef meat balls. THESEWERESWEDISHMEATBALLSCUTINHALF!!! Broth was VERY weird, did not taste authentic at all. 3) I also tried the Spring Rolls, YUCK! They were shredded lettuce, a bit of vermicelli and a few tasteless shrimp in a rice wrapper. The sauce was Hoisin sauce instead of traditional sauce, TERRIBLE!!! In closing, DONOTWASTEYOURTIMEHERE, ITISTERRIBLE!!! Go to Broddard, Phở Vina or Garden Grove or Westminster for better Phở. ALSO if you even THINK of using a Credit card expect to pay 10% more for your food! QUICK, RUNTHEOTHERWAY, SAVEYOURSELF, AVOIDTHISPLACEATALLCOSTS!!! ITMAYTAKEYOURLIFE!!! We will NOT be coming back to Phở of Orange.

While I’ve had better phở elsewhere, I have never had such good service. I work nearby and come in several times a month for lunch; at my second visit, the proprietor remembered my name! He is solicitous without hovering, so it’s a great place to settle down with a good book for an hour and sip my way through some delicious phở. I always get the phở, which is light and tasty. I’ve also had some of the smoothies, which are a bit watery and the boba a little too squishy for my taste, but they hit the spot on a hot day.

So-phở-king good. As a preliminary matter, the proprietor of this fine establishment could not possibly be nicer. Keep him in business, please. It pains me that this place is so lightly patronized. Don’t get me wrong — I’ve had some better in Westminster. But this is solid phở. I usually get the soup combo. A «small» bowl(it’s plenty big enough) of chicken breast phở with a shrimp spring roll. The spring roll is light, fresh, and delicious. The chicken breast is lean but not tough. The phở comes with your usual assortment. Bean sprouts, basil, cilantro, lime and jalapenos. I usually ask for extra jalapeño, but I’m not normal. I love the old-timey American musical music playing in the background. I think my only complaint about this place is the über-thick chopsticks. TIP — bring cash. The menu prices include a 10% «discount» for cash payment. So you pay 10% more with a credit card.

If I could rate this place zero stars I definitely would, luckily for them the host/waiter was really nice. Now on to the bad: — expect to pay 10% more if you’re paying with a card — what kind of phở restaurant does not have tripe?!? — the Bo vien(meatball) tastes like Swedish meatballs cut in half. It didn’t have the density or chewiness of typical Bo vien. — the herbs plate that comes with your bowl of phở consisted of just cilantro, sprouts, and another herb I don’t know the name of. Where’s the mint?! I didn’t even finish my bowl and I’m a fatty, so save your taste buds and head over to Westminster for legit phở. This place is watered down bad Vietnamese food.

First to review the joint and one of its biggest fans. However, I’ve gotta concur with Dan B. — as of late, the place has changed. I was willing to pay a few more bucks in order to get some good phở and vermicelli dishes closer to home — not having to travel to Westminster or GG for them… if the food and sides are on-par with what they are serving out there. I called P.O.O.(yes that’s the acronym) and asked for a to-go«v7» dish(as seen here in this photo i took: )… the owner said that they no longer make the dish. It was at this moment that I decided to pull my Unilocal card and ask in a sad voice, «but, buuhhuuut, do you knowww who I aahaam?» He couldn’t remember me for the life of him. Oh well :( I hung up feeling pretty bummed out. Ever since, I’ve been strictly going to Phở Lu in Saigon and getting the large(giant) bowls of Phở with a ton of jungle leaves or whatever you wanna call them on the side for $ 6 bucks and some change. Like most Viet places, you pay cash or you suffer ding in your credit card for fee! Either way, the other day I got a large Phở Tai there, ate it in-house, then took a vermicelli/shrimp/eggroll/beef dish home for my lady and it came out to just under $ 14 bucks. Oh, and the portions — HUGE! The quality — fantastic! Authenticity — in the 90th percentile(just kidding I don’t know shit about percent of authenticity)! Sad to say, if I had ordered the same at Phở of Orange, it would’ve come out to well over $ 25 bucks, and probably(and don’t hate me for this) wouldn’t have tasted as good. Unfortunately, after the call where they told me they had stopped serving that dish(with no explanation), I haven’t called or been back to P.O.O. since. Great owner(s), good service, fine if you don’t want to travel out of East Orange, but these days I need to save a buck… no hard feelings. It’s as simple as finding something better for a much cheaper price elsewhere — as a consumer, 9 times out of 10 you’ll go for it. Best of luck to this place and the owners.

Strange down turn suddenly. I took my kids here for PHO and we were the only people in the place except for 1 other couple and it took 25 minute to get phở? I’ve been here maybe 10 times over the past year or two because its close to my house. I love the super nice guy that runs the place. But the quality and service has gone down since a few months back. They have removed the napkin /spoon /chocpstick stations we’ve all come to expect at a PHO joint and now have tacky maple syrup jugs with watered down Hoisin sauce and Sriracha. ???wha? See my photo of them. It’s sad when we had to call the guy over 3 times to fill water, bring extra napkins, and ask for the bill. We were the ONLYPEOPLEINTHEPLACE and still had to ask for attention. I’m never going back. Sorry, Bye guys.

Empty, kinda scary. This guy is actually not that nice, he kinda acted like an ass. Not too many options. The Thai Iced Tea isn’t good here, and that’s pretty hard to screw up. I wasn’t happy with the«sweet» guy yelling at me about not being able to have a side order of fried tofu because he wouldn’t make enough money off of it. Wow, really? Ok. I guess he doesn’t need anyone’s business, since I was the only one in there during lunch. I paid $ 2.69 for the crappy Thai Iced Tea and left, maybe it was a blessing in disguise.(he did save me at least $ 15 and a stomach ache) It’s too bad, the old owners had great food and good service.

If you like cup of noodles shrimp in your Phở Tum, then I highly suggest coming here. Giving this place a one star because they played some Disney classic oldies in the background with their poor attempt of making your experience magical. Go to Westminster or Garden Grove for the real shit!

If you are looking for a good bowl of Vegan/Vegetarian Phở, this place wins. I do eat meat, but choose to eat vegetarian food most of the time. Most Phở places use the traditional meat broth for all their bowls, even the vegetarian ones. The vegetarian Phở is amazing, with fried garlic bits and tons of flavor. Other places that have a vegetarian broth option tend to have no salt and no flavor. My only negative point for this place is that their Phở is more pricey compared to the other local Phở places. Do note, that with the prices being a tad bit higher, I still go here over the others. So if you plan on being in the area and want a vegetarian bowl of Phở, try this place out.

My mom is a good cook and she never brags about her cooking. People compliment her cooking and she always says her cooking is not good. We went to this place and asked about the phở. The guy said that their family recipe phở was so good. He also said that he didnt even like going to Bolsa because Bolsa phở places served fatty and bad phở. I ordered phở tai cin and soda chanh. Soda chanh: I had many soda chanh in my life and that was probably the worst one. It was not soda chanh. My companion even said that’s probably no brand lime soda with sugar. Tai cin: The«non fatty» meat was fatty and the broth was sweet. I couldn’t eat my phở. sorry Like I said before… my mom is a good cook and she never brags. Don’t make fun of other restaurants if they serve better phở than you. Just saying… Nice guy though. 2 stars! Phở of Orange is not yummylicious!

Very solid Phở! As the cab driver dropped us off, he mentioned that he was Vietnamese and had never heard of it. I was getting nervous, but after a 20.00 ride I decided to make the best of it. On this visit to Phở or Orange, I ordered my staple Phở. Spicy beef noodle with shrimp spring roll. The flavors were great. The peanut dipping sauce was really nice. The price was right and the service was efficient. Total after tax about 9.00. No complaints from me or my dining companion on the lovely evening in Orange County.

I have been here at least once a week for the past 2 months, and this place has really got it goin on. Just come in, get some sweet sweet top quality phở lovingly made by Traing, and have a chat with Linh. If you are feeling like switching it up from the regular beef or chicken phở, give the chicken and bamboo shoot soup a whirl. Like chicken noodle soup from the days of old, but with a Vietnamese twist and way better.

Once upon a time, on a rainy fall day, two Orange County girls were on a quest to find some phở. After the first place was closed(it was a Sunday after all), we read about Phở of Orange on Unilocal and decided to try it out. Not a soul was in the restaurant when we got there. The owners here are incredibly friendly and helpful with the menu if you haven’t had phở before. They have a great variety of options(including vegetarian if you’re looking for meatless phở). A regular bowl(which is still HUGE) is $ 7.50 and a large(which I imagine could feed about 10 people) will set you back $ 8.50. Pretty much what I’d expect to pay for phở anywhere. I got the spicy chicken noodle phở which was deeelicious. It had the perfect amount of spice(our server asked me how hot I wanted it when I ordered too which was nice) and a lot of noodles and just the right amount of chicken. This is really a great family owned business with quality service and quality food. The best phở I’ve had to date. And so, the two Orange County girls lived happily ever after, with their stomachs satisfyingly full of phở.

What the Phở! This place is great! They have delicious phở and a large variety to choose from. A regular bowl will run you $ 7.50, or if you’re feeling phở-tastic, a large for $ 8.50. My girlfriend and I have been here three times and it’s consistently delicious. We struck up a conversation with the owners last time we were there. They are super friendly and very attentive to your needs. I’ll definitely be coming back to support this local business!

Gosh, this must be the fourth or fifth phở place in this spot in the last several years. Very clean with nice décor. The owners are super nice. I ordered a small size phở tai and café sua da. The soup had plenty of noodles and beef. The broth and taste of the beef was AOK. I would not go out of my way to eat here, but might come back in a pinch. Café sua da was AOK-3 stars. A bit sweet and not too strong. My bill was almost 12 bucks for the small phở and the café sua da. wow.

New Name for this place: Phở of Orange New owners purchased this location, used to be Super Phở. The new owners are awesome!!! One of them Linh, is just about the most gracious guy I’ve ever met. He is really REALLY interested in making your dish the way you want it. The quality is excellent, and everything I’ve tried on the menu is delicious. If you’re not sure what you’re in the mood for, just ask Linh! He’s great at helping you narrow down the menu to exactly what will hit the spot. He’s revamped the menu… everything just tastes so clean and healthy now. I especially love the Tofu & Veggie Phở. Really! Huge chunks of pan fried tofu swimming in tastey broth. Not too salty at all. The spring rolls with peanut sauce dip are also a favorite. The pork fried rice is perfectly seasoned. I’ve also sampled the porridge that too is nice and warming on a cool day(though its been pretty warm lately!) Since they re-opened, there hasn’t been a lot of people there… I think it’s because everyone thinks the old business closed and it is no longer a Phở restaurant, but it sure is! And better than ever! The décor inside is pretty low-key, and mom & pop-ish… but don’t let that dissuade you from coming. The eats there are nomtastic.
