Honestly, this place is great. Me and my boyfriend come here all the time, since he lives pretty close. I’m Vietnamese and this place couldn’t taste more like home cooking to me. Their spring rolls are incredible and they’re HUGE. I love them, no cheating you on food here! Staff are great and always great service everytime!

Decent phở; substantial yet not heavy. Odd choice of whip cream on Thai iced tea, but I was won over by the friendly English-speaking service and credit card acceptance(both somewhat uncommon in Vietnamese restaurants around here due to high concentration of Vietnamese speakers).

Stumbled upon this place with my classmate after doing a project in Fountain Valley for two long hours. We searched Unilocal for the nearest, highest rated restaurant around. At the time, we were deciding between Thai and Vietnamnese food but I am so glad we made Phở Oh Tasty our ultimate destination. This place is nothing short of excellent. I have been to many phở places throughout California and I must say, this place has one of the tastiest bowls of beef phở I have yet to purchase. In short, the customer service is fast and on point with waiters/waitresses highly attentive of water refills and customer readiness to order/pay, the beef broth is amazing, and lastly, I might have to cheat on my other favorite phở spots and make myself a regular here on long days after work to escape the LA traffic. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED

«Phở Oh Tasty» lives up to its name. #16 is my go-to for phở. Today’s recipe was exploding with flavor & loaded with noodles & meat! Giving 6 stars bcoz they actually carry plain fish sauce! Being filipina(with a Thai husband), this is a necessity in almost every meal! The restaurant itself is clean– clean napkin dispensers, clean hoisin sauce bottles, no bonus crumbs left on the silverware, menus are not sticky, no handprints left on the walls, and does not reek of mildew & pee.

When you just so happen to live within 5 minutes of the best Vietnamese phở restaurant in town, you’ve lucked out. I’m always astonished by the level of high quality broth, fresh veggies and herbs, and of course meats. This has quickly become one of my favorite after-work meals, and the hot soupy phở broth is always something I crave when I’m starting to feel sick or when I need a soothing meal. I encourage you to try it out.

Love their phở! Just moved into the area and my wife was looking for our new phở place. This is it. We’ve gone a couple times already and I usually get phở with tendon, tripe, brisket, etc.(which is also good here) but the best phở options are the charbroiled chicken and the charbroiled beef. Really well made meats that go nicely with the tasty phở broth. Price is great too!

We came in around 3pm on a Saturday for a to go order. The young gentlemen handling the front did not greet or even crack a smile. I placed an order for their vermicelli noodles with lemongrass chicken and an order of egg rolls. I asked what came in the egg rolls and rudely, the guy taking my order says«shrimp & pork». I had a gift card that had a few dollars left on there and asked if I can use the remaining balance towards the bill. He blankly stares and says«huh.» Omg. We waited several mins for our order. I politely said«thank you» and all he said was«mhmm». Rude service. I can’t imagine if I dined in. Don’t think I’ll be back simply because of the service. Their egg rolls were nicely filled. The vermicelli noodles with vegetables & lemongrass chicken was just okay. The marinade on the chicken was very thick(had all the herbs and ingredients all in my teeth). It was also salty when eaten by itself…

Went here because of the rating since we were hungry and in the area. Hmmmm, it was a bit of a disappointment for us. We didn’t order phở this time around, we ordered the charbroiled beef because our waiter informed us they were out of pork chop(really?!? It was only lunch time) and chicken. The kids shared a kid’s meal charbroiled pork. The rice was soggy. The beef was little over cooked. Normally, when we order charbroiled pork for our little ones at our normal Phở spots, our kids chow it down. But this time, they couldn’t even finish it. My older son who got the charbroiled chicken couldn’t finish it either. He said the chicken was bit over cooked too and a little tough to eat. We ordered egg rolls as well. The egg rolls were good and crispy. Service was slow and took awhile to get refills on water. Maybe the only decent thing here is the phở. The prices aren’t bad, but as another reviewer stated, in other areas, it is a little bit cheaper with more quality.

In Orange, there aren’t that many ethnic places other than mexican. Phở Oh Tasty is an oasis in a desert. Not as good as going to Westminster but man, there a lot of time saving by coming here. Same plaza as the Bevmo.

Solid phở place in a relatively phở-less area. It’s neither the cheapest or the best phở I’ve had but considering I can stop in on my way home from work and have a solid meal for less than $ 15, it’s a bi weekly stop. After fighting traffic, the last thing I want to do is drive even farther for phở. The broth here is excellent. It’s sweet but not overpoweringly so. Sometimes they skimp on the add ins, especially if it’s busy. Which is a bummer if you LOVE tons of basil but you have to share a single sprig with your boyfriend. I’ve had their vermicelli. It’s pretty good but nothing to write home about. I’d stick to the phở personally. Get an iced coffee with your phở and you’re set.

Phở Oh Tasty works if you are in this barren wasteland for culinary interests. The Anaheim/Orange border is a horrific place to look for lunch if you aren’t not a fan of chains, fast food and greasy Mexican and Asian take out joints. I drove a mile down Tustin Avenue… past Rotten Ronnie’s, Toxic Hell, Chipoodle and even Red Robin before I found the unfortunately named Phở Oh Tasty. Walking in I knew I lucked out as I saw a small family business with Vietnamese cooks, waitstaff and management. Thank you god. I didn’t even look at the menu and ordered a large Phở Tai and a diet. The Phở came out piping hot within minutes and after a shot of Sriracha, a squeeze of lime, a handful of bean sprouts and a few leaves of Thai basil — it was game time. No — I don’t care for the plum sauce. Keep your sweet condiments to yourself, thanks. The broth was surprisingly deep and complex with the usual suspects of clove, star anise, coriander seed, fennel, cinnamon, black cardamom, ginger and onion all in the mix in various secret amounts. This was easily the best part of the soup — as it should be. The rice vermicelli noodles were also on point and cooked to a perfect al dente. The train fell off of the tracks in the beef department thanks to it being much too over cooked and chewy by the time it got to my table. A shame really, the broth deserved better. The agreeable experience set me back $ 11.00 which any denizen of Garden Grove would laugh at for being too expensive but considering the area, I will take what I can get.

I know that a lot of people have their favorite Phở-tastic restaurants that they like to frequent, so I really wanted to share one of my very own Phở-favorite locations as well. By now, I hope that you readers have at least visited one or five other Phở restaurants too, so what really has Phở Oh Tasty stick out of the pack for me, is the Phở Broth and the heavenly eggrolls — a little more loving is packed into the taste and preparation, and it really does show. And what do you know… iPho Oh Tasty in a plaza that’s centrally located with ample amount of parking… thank the Phở gods! One thing that may be a ding for Unilocalers is the size of the location, and we all know that when there is good food, the people like to come in hoards — hence, there can be a wait time depending on the night, and since my guess is that the establishment doesn’t fit more than 40 diners, you can certainly wait a while.

I live in Orange now and I couldn’t bring myself to try a phở restaurant because of fear; fear it wouldn’t be delicious and fear that these reviews would lead me astray. Ah well, sometimes fear is too silly and you just got to take risks! It can’t compare to the phở restaurants in Westminster, but it’s good for this area. The broth was good and it didn’t «feel» as if there was as much MSG as other phở restaurants so that’s a plus. The only downside to the my small bowl of phở was that the meat quality wasn’t that great. I ordered the phở tai(rare beef) which cooks in the soup and it just felt so chewy and so bland. Aside from that, the bowl was pretty good! I think it’s weird that no one saw us or tried to seat us when we strolled in one evening. I mean, it would be nice if someone greeted us and said, «Hi! Sit here,» but there was none of that. We waited a few minutes in the front before taking the initiative to go all the way to the back to get their attention and get seated. Oh well — The phở here is decent enough for me that I’ll come here when I don’t feel like driving all the way down the 22 to Westminster.

Today’s adventure found us centered around the much anticipated, Anaheim Monster Supercross! The Monster squad and I were patrolling Katella, Ball, Tustin, and all the perimeter streets around the Anaheim Stadium ensuring that the competition knows that this is freaking Monster country. If we saw any sign of the competition, all I can say is… Scorched earth. Now with all that aggression mixed with passion burning inside of us, you can be sure that we were getting really hungry. And although a couple of our party members were your typical pub grub crowd, we were able to peer pressure them into trying something a bit more ethnic i.e. Vietnamese. So Phở it was, and after a quick search on Unilocal PHO Oh Tasty seem to be the highest rated in the near area. Once we arrived we were seated quickly. I must say that the host didn’t have the most personality, and could’ve smiled more, but he was professional enough. A couple of our party members were running a bit late, so we ordered some appetizers ahead of time, mostly consisting of both spring and summer rolls, all of which were very good. The sauces were also exceptional. When the PHO arrived a short time later it was hot and delicious. I started off tasting the broth. Sip by sip it just got better and better. I must admit this is one of the more wonderful tasting PHO near Anaheim Stadium. The only reason it’s not five stars, is because the host and server could use just a hint more of personality. Maybe smile a bit that might help? Other than that we will be back again for sure!

Hot bowl of phở after a night of drinking is the best remedy… and Phở Oh Tasty was just that. Came with 5 other friends and our entire meal(which lasted about 15 minutes) was in dead silence… bring us back to life phở broth!!! I ordered the #19 which comes with rare beef, well done brisket and tendon. The bowl came out about 5 minutes later. The noodles were soft but maintained their chewiness. Meat was plentiful. Veggies were fresh, though one of the Vietnamese herbs I like wasn’t to be found here. I ordered a side of vinegar onions and I was DONE. The phở here can be ordered in small or large sizes. Only $ 7.75 for a substantially large bowl. Surprisingly Phở Oh Tasty is better than I expected and all I had to compare it to was GG/Westminster restaurants but they still hit the spot.

How do you really rate a bowl of phở? Well, I’ll break it down into a few categories here for sake of simplicity. 1. Quality of protein 2. Broth 3. Texture of noodles 4. Accompanying condiments/veges 1. Quality of protein — it was o.k. nothing outstanding, not terrible. Arrived slightly raw as it should 2. Broth — this should really be the #1 criteria. With some broth, you can tell it’s been stewed for many hours(beef bones) and there is where the flavor really comes from. On the flip side, some phở joints will over-salt to fabricate more flavor to make up for the lack of true broth flavor. Unfortunately, the broth here falls into the latter category. 3. Texture of noodles — Not as al dente as preferred, tends to fall apart. 4. Veges/Condiments — on the light side(small portions), which does not make for a good ratio when combined with the rest of bowl. Below average quality with long wait times. missed the mark for me here.

FATSPRINGROLLS!!! Their Springs Rolls, Egg Rolls, Rice and Vermicelli dishes are awesome! Big portions and very generous with the meat and affordable prices. I usually get my Vietnamese food from Phở Vina in Anaheim Hills, but this place opens at 10am on weekends, so I come here to pick up food for my mom. Located in a small business plaza next to a Mexican food place and a laundromat. It’s small and casual and can get packed on weekends. Their staff are always friendly to me and never had a bad service here. Only complaint is their Smoothies with Boba. You can taste the artificial flavor and their bobas are old and frozen O_o. SKIPIT! But I still like this place and highly recommend their food!

Before this location became Phở Oh Tasty it used to be another phở place which I didn’t really like too much. We came back yesterday to give it try under it’s new ownership. Too be honest it was better than it was but still just OK. As we walked in we were greeted right away and sat quickly with our menus. We were provided with waters. Within a few minutes we were placing our order. Now one thing I didn’t like was that my hubby had asked for a phở soup with a combo of shrimp, chicken and beef. The waiter told us they don’t do that. Apparently they can’t combine meats in the soup. They can only combine different beefs or order exactly what’s on menu. Every other phở place we have been too has been able to do that and they just charge additional. We told the waiter that and he said«well we aren’t those places.» Rude much!!! There was no effort to try and work something out. We pretty much said I guess we will have to go to other places then. In the end he had to get a shrimp phở with a side of pork which he then added to the soup. The soup however once we got it is pretty good. The broth has a good flavor and the meat in it is a good portion. Once I add all my fixings, jalapeños, bean sprouts, lime and chile sauce it’s even better. The egg rolls were good and have a yummy peanut sauce. As for their drinks it pretty much all sugar grains you are slurping up the straw. The strawberry lemonade had fresh strawberries in it and looked great but at the very bottom of the cup was a layer of just sugar. It wasn’t stirred and even once mixed it was super sweet. The smoothie was the same. I’ve also tried the boba and I didn’t like. Overall the soup is good but drinks and service need some boasting. Place is a 3 in my opinion for just OK!

A good spot for delicious, full flavored phở and other tasty, traditional Vietnamese dishes in the city of Orange. All the essential ingredients to successfully prepare meat noodle soup are there. The meat is fresh and good quality. The broth, whether beef or chicken stock, is slow brewed and carefully skimmed of excess proteins and impurities to give it a smooth, clean yet robust flavor. The noodles are cooked just right and not clumpy. A bowl of soup is perfectly portioned: the right ratio of meat, rice noodles and broth. The garnishes are fresh and thoroughly hand-washed. A regular-sized bowl of beef or chicken phở starts at a very reasonably priced $ 6.50. A large bowl starts at $ 7.25. Other dishes on their menu include rice dishes(com), vermicelli bowls(bun), stir fried noodle dishes and popular appetizers like pork and shrimp spring rolls(goi cuon), crisp egg rolls(cha gio), sandwiches(banh mi) and crispy tofu(dau hu chien). They also have a good selection of creamy shakes, slushes, juices, teas and coffee. Flavor choices include avocado, coconut, mango, pineapple, piña colada, strawberry, taro and green tea just to name a few. Prices range between $ 2.50 to $ 3.50. Service is friendly and attentive, but not the most organized. Servers can lack the attention to details. I have dined here three times so far and each time there was a dish my dining party had ordered that was either forgotten or mistaken with another dish. All said and done, however, this restaurant is still a good choice for phở in city of Orange. A positive experience after trying one of their hearty and tasty looking bun and com tam dishes could cement many return visits for me despite the hiccups in service. Recommended.

Unilocal 2015 Challenge #73 Okay so I know I am definitely not an expert on phở, but the phở here just rang out a «It’s okay» feels for me. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and the store was about 25% full around 3pm(not too shabby). The restaurant is small and the table I had was a little sticky. Sketch water. :( Ordered #21, the phở with rare beef, well-done brisket, tripe, and tendon. It took around 10 – 20 minutes(maybe it felt longer cuz I was hungry or something– oh wait I don’t remember being hungry actually lol) but felt it took longer than other phở places. They had basil leaves, the soy sauce/hoisin sauce, the soybeans, and the standard. Maybe it was the 4.5 average rating that makes me have lower expectations. I would put the phở that they have here around the same as Irvine. They have the flavor for the meat, but their phở + broth just lack that little something that doesn’t make it the same in Garden Grove(no that little something is NOT msg haha). Service, on the other hand, is good, as we had to split the bill 4 ways and they were cool with that. They also give you fortune cookies at the end :3 Oh and for some cool reason, they remembered one of the people I was with because he was Vietnamese but didn’t look Vietnamese and the waitress was like«I know you! And remembered where they sat and what they ordered» Creepy? Nah. Pretty cool: O
