This place is fantastic! Over the past couple of years I have purchased many items from this shop, from furniture to wall hangings to accessories. My most recent purchase was a birthday present for my husband who fell in love with a piece of furniture. Unfortunately it was too large to fit in my car. Knowing it was a surprise, they went out of their way to recruit someone to bring it to me. He was happy. Ginger and Harold are the best. Always greeting with a smile, pleasant and helpful. Always a fun exchange. I highly recommend this place even if you’re just window shopping.

Place is a rip off. Don’t think if you drop your stuff off that they care a lick about you. They highball the price at first, and if you you forget to renew your contract after 2 months, don’t expect a friendly reminder, because that’s their plan. If you don’t renew, they keep the product and then drop the price to a point where it will sell and they don’t have to pay out. Total lack of integrity.

My husband and I visited Curiosities shop this weekend found some great furniture pieces for our home. There are 2 spaces along the same shopping mall with many great household items. The owner Ginger and her staff are very willing to negotiate over prices and we got a great deal. The pieces are on the high end, but not too expensive. They are well made and in great shape. We purchased a set of chairs and a beautiful bureau. The stores have a great inventory and I plan to come back soon.

I came here, looking for a quality, but not too expensive, dresser for my adult son. There are actually two Curiosities stores, on either side of CVS. I happened into the store on the east side, and found exactly what I had been to several other stores(Consignment, Thrift, Big Box), none of which had what I was looking for. Not only that, but we negotiated a fair price! I had to walk to the larger, original store, to pay, and discovered more treasures. The owner(whose name I didn’t get) was very knowledgeable and professional. She encouraged me to return after they decorate for the holidays, which I will do.

I’ve shopped here and sold things a number of times and have always been happy… in fact, shopping here can be a real blast! Good merchandise and good prices on mostly upscale pieces!

Good selection of furniture at reasonable prices, they have a large selection of unique items. The pricing is much lower than the retail outlets and overall the quality of the items is good.

We went in today and bought a bunch of stuff for our new place in Sacramento. I am VERY happy with the service/our purchases. The prices are inflated because you barter with them to find something amenable to you both… every item we purchased was brought down $ 70-$ 250. We bought one large(nice, new!) couch, a fancy(super comfy) green chair, two small wood TV stands, and a cedar chest(for clothes storage) all for about $ 650 before taxes. This place is especially great if you want to fill your place with furniture that is not the cookie-cutter boring/super-modern stuff that you tend to find at furniture outlet stores. Everything in here is new to slightly moderately used but fits the bill for other design tastes(i.e. european/vintage/country/eastern asian). There are a lot of really nice pieces in there– gorgeous dressers, china cabinets, couches… definitely worth checking out and bargaining with them!

This places spams Craigslist like no tomorrow so I decided to check it out. OVEPRICED in a major way. I saw at least 3 side tables from Homegoods that were marked up to twice the Homegoods price. Mom and I were laughing out loud as we looked through the store. There were few, if any, vintage pieces — mostly new pieces made to look vintage, with the exception of a pressed glass ashtray from the 70’s. The kind you see and would say, «Hey, we had one of those!». The kind you can find at a thrift store or yard sale easily for 50 cents. The asking price? $ 48. I spit pop out my nose when I saw that. You could find this stuff in any major furniture store and pay less. It was all I could do not to invoice them for the gas it cost to drive there. Pros: They have a lot of stuff Cons: Generic pieces you could find anywhere OVERPRICED Few, if any, vintage items(unless you’re calling last year’s model vintage)
