Save mart is our local grocery mecca. We always receive friendly & helpful service. The prices seem somewhat lower than the competition. After shopping here for years, we have come to realize the following: We utilize the bakery much more than we should We visit the produce department less than we should. The seafood area is a favorite. The Deli is amazing. Great meats and cheeses. Their sandwiches are fantastic. The whole place is SPOTLESS! Seriously, I think surgery could be performed here. They have the BEST staff. Always willing to go the extra mile for any requests.

Walked up to a cashier and he closed down his register as 6 + stand there and watch me standing embarrassed and literally disrespected as if my money wasn’t good. Way to go save mart I used to frequent this place until I started to get to know the lazy 40/50+ year olds who hold prejudice in their hearts. My money is good as both a black and gay man and I could’ve been helped but instead I took my small purchase to self checkout. Hopefully the older cashiers will be replaced with more self check outs and we can eliminate rude interactions all together.

Come to make a small purchase and need to write a check because I left my debit card at home. Step 1. Proceed to the self check out and attempt to pay using check. Machine tells me to wait for authorization but no one but the cashier was available. Step 2. Cashier comes to fix problem but tells me they don’t take checks at the self service check out. Now I think I’m being punished by the human for using the self check out. Step 3. Proceed to the cash register for human to check me out. Turn over my check and I’m told she can’t take my check because the check number is less than 200. Step 4. Proceed to Winco where I can pay by check at the self service check out and they don’t care about the check number.

This is an old store that I’d hate to see closedown. I like to shop here when I need a couple of things and don’t want to fight with Walmart’s busy parking lot and ling lines inside. They are overpriced in many ways especially at their deli a sandwich cost $ 10 one at Walmart it’s only five. I love their cakes and wish they would do full-size muffins for a decent price. I hate that they lock one door at a certain time at night, I always seem to park on that side. The staff are nice and the managers really great, they also bag your groceries and walk you out to your car.

I live close, and come here only when I need to buy a couple of things and don’t feel like dealing with the lines at Winco or Foodmax. Now I understand why it’s never crowded! Bought some frozen raw shrimp they’d packaged in a Styrofoam tray, and when I opened it at home, more than half of the shrimp were white with freezer burn. Ended up just throwing it all away. Also, three times now I’ve purchased jarred items that I notice later expire within a month or less from when I purchased them! I think this must be because their merchandise doesn’t move fast due to lack of customers. It is a waste of money for me because I’m throwing away unused product. You know it has to be bad here when I’ve found fresher ingredients at Foodmax!

Friendly staff but it doesn’t live up to its namesake. The prices are much cheaper at winco and sometimes Safeway

I really hate to leave a bad review. Normally everyone that works here is really nice. I have a speech impediment. And tonight the cashier gave me a stamp to collect for the pot set give away and said«when your convolutions stop you can use that. «. I guess she assumed I was faking it or could stop my stutter. Needless to say I was very disappointed to be treated this way. I have had many cashiers giggle a little as I start to speak… then they quickly apologize. That is fine. I understand some people have never met a stutterer but this cashier was very insensitive and rude. I hope this changes.

They usually have what we need but the place is almost always dead, with no one to help us when we can’t find something. At least some of the pricing is good. We did have one issue once when my husband left without the paper towel he purchased. When he got home and realized he was without, he headed right back. We are only maybe half a mile away, but when he went back to the checkout he used previously, the man had already forgotten him and threw quite the fit that Brandon wanted his PT. Eventually a manager was called out and they checked the security cameras…(really Save Mart?) but he made it back home. I only choose to go here when I’m too tired to brave Winco.

This place has some serious issues with integrity. I live close and will only come here when in a bind. On numerous occasions I have found price discrepancies on adversised, and non advertised items. The worst is the meat pricing. On almost any occasion you can walk into this store and find the price per pound on packages that varies from the price shown on in store ads. Many times multiple different prices on the exact cut of meat sold in the same bin. I have pointed it out to mgt, numerous times only to go back a day later to find the same scenario. I even went so far as to take pics and report them to the local news… Avoid this place if possible.

I love the location and the help out to the car. The employees are always wonderful… kinda old, but without the old store smell as much as I can tell. Why only 3 stars? It could use a major facelift.

You are blowing it SavMart — I opted to pay a bit more when I grew weary of the bum fights and trash at Winco, along with their piss poor vegetable and fruits. I dealt with you removing check stands and depending on the«self service» stands, which I always have to wait at when I have a bottle of booze. but getting rid of the small baskets and telling me that«they all were stolen» just does not cut it. I am not going to opt to push a big basket around with you hoping I will fill it up. I will start going else where and watch you go out of business along with everyone else in that strip mall.

Yes the prices here are 1 or 2 dollars off, but in my mind that is okay, because I am getting way better service than Walmart or WinCo. And that is the reason why most people come back. The staff here is great and is super friendly. If I need something, I don’t need to hunt anyone down and they will take you to that aisle and personally show you where exactly it is. Try getting service at WinCo or Walmart, or any other grocery stores. Yeah, I didn’t think so. Also… I hate walking into a store and the person working is just looking at me and not saying anything. Not with this store. Everyone will politely greet you and ask if you need help. Why do you think people go here or Bel Air? It is because they get good service. If you want to save a few bucks, then go next door to WinCo and be greeted(not) with ghetto trash workers, bag your own groceries, and have no customer service. Again, you get what you pay for.
