This place is great! It’s small theater but that’s what I love about it the middle of the floor is the stage and it’s literally right in front of your face. If you get front row or close you literally feel like involved in the play because it’s so close. It’s nice too because where other places sometimes you can’t see the stage this place you won’t have that problem. We always go to the Christmas Carol and never disappoints! Really it’s a amazing Christmas experience every year. Really gets me in the Christmas spirit. It’s perfect every year the actors and actresses are amazing. There’s always a short intermission where you can get treats like candy, hot chocolate, or pop. There all reasonably priced and great. If your debating on this place just come it’s always amazing experience and you’ll love it especially for the holidays!

So we have been going to a play here and there for years. This year I bought season tickets for my wife. I’ve been very impressed with every play that I’ve seen. I amazed what they do with the limited stage that they have. On the other hand because the stage is in the middle it brings a intimacy that I haven’t experienced with other theaters. My favorite play so far was Les Miserables. Very high quality theater. What a great way to be entertained. We are hooked and will continue to be season ticket holders. Well worth the price of admission!

The shows here are magical. They do so much with so little. I did not give 5 stars because they are in much need of a larger newer building. I really dislike the theater it self but the actors, costumes, staging is superb.

We’ve seen a dozen productions here and have really enjoyed each one. The small stage and nearly 360 degree action makes even the most popular plays unique and fun. The range of actors is impressive(and the child actors don’t make me cringe). This is the first year we got season passes and we are loving it! Even the plays we knew very little about have been fantastic. My only complaint is that you cannot go to the restroom while the actors are on stage. There is too much rushing on and off stage with props and stage pieces that you will really get in the way(and possibly hurt). But holding it until intermission can be a little rough.

My wife and I were fortunate to attend the Christmas Carol. So good! We loved it and didn’t want to leave the magical feeling that it brought. Thanks Hale Theatre!

HCTO’s production of Damn Yankees was really fun and I’m always impressed w/what they can do in such a small space. Don’t miss this one. It’s really a treat!

My wife and I have really enjoyed the entertainment and shows we have seen performed at Hale Center. It is a very unique set up and makes the performance very personal and in your face. I don’t know how the actors do it with basically having an audience on all sides. I recommend HTC highly.

My favorite live theater in Utah County! Just saw«Peter Pan.» Intimate, creative, innovative. I have never seen a bad production done here! The Hales & Swensons are incredible people and if you love to perform, audition. Excellent theater to work at!

Such a great place to see a play, small venue which makes it an intimate event. Haven’t seen anything that we haven’t liked.

Came for the first time to see«Big River». The venue is small… about 200 seats. I was amazed how the used the revolving stage. Every seat in the house is a good seat unless you have a 7 foot man sitting in front of you like I did(they can’t help that). I would have given 5 stars if the seats had more elbow room, it’s quite a tight fit even for average size people.

I finally made the jump and purchased season tickets this year for my husband and myself. We’ve always loved this theater — they put on amazing productions and have even more amazing talent. I’ve yet to experience a play there and leave disappointed. We were even willing to brave the terrible seats for this experience but now they’ve been replaced with shiny and soft new seating!

I love this theater. They have the best local talent and best costumers. They also have a costume rental shop in the basement. Where you can rent the beautiful costumes that graced the stage. Costumes like the scarlet pimpernel, hairspray, Christmas carol, Phantom of the opera, and a bunch of Disney. If you can think it up they can set it up.

Good performances, pretty good parking and excellent proximity to main roads/areas. My only gripe is the seating is UBER tight and cramped. I hate that more than anything in the world. I’m also fatter than fat so you might fare better.

Great place. A hidden gem in Utah County. The play are much more interactive because you sit so close to the actors, and for the most part the actors are great and very talented. You almost can’t get a good seat. They’ve been trying to build a new theater because this one was built forever ago, but the economy has really slowed it down. The first date with my wife was here.

This place is amazing! I saw Jekyl & Hyde here, along with some comedic play I’d never heard of. Both were done very, very well. The acting was on par with broadway productions. The theatre has seating that surrounds the stage so each seat is good, and the actors use the space well so no matter where you’re sitting you don’t ever feel like you’re behind the action. I’ve been to several of the local theaters in provo/orem and this one was the best by far. It was always a very enjoyable and impressive experience!

I’ve attended a few plays here. The facility is a bit old and small, but the seats are almost all good because it is small. The acting is usually quite good with many of the actors being acting students at the local universities. It is worth going and checking it out. They also rent costumes and teach some classes.

This place always entertains. We went even to some shows we had never heard of and were pleasantly surprised. The acting is really quite good considering a local playhouse. This is theater-in-the-round so there is very limited seating but each seat is a good one(except maybe in the corners). Tip: Don’t miss a chance to see Christmas Carol in December, a seasonal tradition.
