Great food. Great service. Great sushi. Only concern is the food is just not up there for a 5 star. Then again, a 5-star from me is a life changing place. Go to Shoga if you’re super hungry because the portions are GIANT. Recommendation: Sushi Rolls or Nigiri Get the Salmon Salad thing.

I really like this place. My favorite things are the Tina tataki, squid salad, any of the spicy rolls and their miso is great! I love their fresh roll that has cilantro, such a nice fresh element. I would highly recommend going, we are regulars!

BEST sushi in Utah County. Lunch is less than 10 $ for two traditional rolls and miso soup. The building is small and cozy. The service was awesome. I will be returning.

Clean. Prompt service. Had miso soup, tataki, and 5 rolls. Cost $ 69. Everything fresh and tasty. For the price it’s as good as I’ve had anywhere.

Great authentic place to eat sushi and japanese related food. But the price is expensive.

First time to sit at the bar — and just had an out of body experience eating a custom freestyle Chef’s roll — fresh spicy tuna, creamy avocado, butter escolar, paper thin lemon, cilantro, roe, chili pepper and unagi sauce. I couldn’t stop oohing. Then you pair it with perfectly grilled hamachi kama(yellowtail cheek) with lemon and sea salt and I was ready to kiss the chef and do the happy dance! Customer service was on point. Chef’s skills and barside manner — incredible. Taste — balanced, clean, fresh, freaking amazing! Cost — high end taste and delivery for great value. Plating and atmosphere — sit at the bar for one on one banter with the chef or do a table. Wait time isn’t long. The restaurant doesn’t smell like a sushi joint. Bathrooms are clean too. They close on New Year’s day and Super Bowl Sunday. I’ve been here quite a few times — it’s up there for miso ramen, squid and seaweed salad with tako, tempura BUT second to none for hamachi kama and the freestyle roll. Divine, delicious and damn good!

Being in a land locked state, it’s hard to find a good sushi spot, especially in Utah county. Shoga is definitely my favorite in my area. As far as I can tell, their fish is fresh and their flavors are good. I’ve had a variety of rolls here and they’re always good. The gyoza is some of my favorite I’ve had! Boyfriend doesn’t eat seafood so he always orders the Shoga steak. It’s delicious. He claims its one of the best steaks he’s ever had. They also have acorn squash in their tempura veggies and its dreamy. Definitely my go to place in Utah county for sushi. Oh and they just relocated around the corner from where they used to be. So if you thought they left, they didn’t!

My boyfriend and I ate here last night, and it’s soooo good. The Vegas and UB rolls are great. But our favorite was definitely the spicy calamari roll, which was a nice surprise. We already want to go back and get another. I’m not sure if this is always the case, but there wasn’t a trace of spiciness. But it was so fresh and amazing and we were fighting over every piece. It’s a pretty cheap roll too– only $ 8.95. Also, our waiter, Arrio, was awesome.

I’m from the coast, so I have high standards when it comes to fresh seafood. I felt like the rolls here were great. Well balanced and quality fish. The servers were attentive and my glass was never empty. Great spot in Orem.

This place is just OK for me. Maybe it was because I got the rainbow roll & it just didn’t have much flavor. Everything else we ordered was a bit better, but nothing to write home about. What we did like was the dynamite, and the fresh. The place is nice. Our waitress was very sweet.

I was devastated when Shoga closed earlier this year, and could not wait for them to open at their new location. They are by far the best sushi restaurant in Utah County. I have eaten at Shoga more than 50 times and keep coming back. Friendly employees, great sushi, fast service. What more could you ask for? Six months ago I moved 15 miles further from their location and have several sushi places that are closer, but still find myself going out of my way and driving further to get sushi from them.

As far as sushi goes, it was 4 stars. Definitely some of the best sushi in Utah valley. The ramen was also good. The meat wasn’t too fatty and there was a good broth to everything else ratio. The service was pretty great. It was quiet when we went in and started clearing out the longer we stayed. Ramen w/soy broth Spicy tuna roll Salmon roll Yellowtail roll

Shoga is the best sushi you can get in Utah County. It’s come to the point where when we come in, we just ask Alex to make us some rolls and he never fails to bring out something delicious and fresh. The rolls are pretty large too, so you’re definitely getting what you pay for. If you’re looking for an app recommendation try their tuna tataki, you won’t be disappointed. For those who don’t care for sushi, they do have great alternate options that don’t sacrifice taste whatsoever. The staff is always friendly and kind, and service is excellent.

If I could give less than one star, I would do it! The service was the Worst I ever had. Long story short — After a long wait, there was a mistake in our food, and we were big group. I asked the manager politely if they could bring what I ordered. He literally told me «I don’t give a shit». Of course I left, and will never go back to this awful place!

8÷14÷15 ate here tonight with my family while here in Utah, didn’t know what to expect as far as how good the food was going to be but we are sure glad we came. I was craving sushi so I convinced the the wife and kids to eat here. Everything we ordered was delicious. The shoga steak my wife and daughter ate was really good. My son had the Teri chicken and I had three types of sushi. Food came out timely and our waitress was very attentive. I’m giving them 5 stars!!!

This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Utah County. The Tuna Tataki is such an amazingly simple dish and they get it right every time. I often say I want that to be my «last meal». Anytime I have tuna tataki elsewhere I am left disappointed. The sushi rolls are fantastic and if there is something you want that isn’t on the menu the sushi chefs are happy to oblige. Wait staff is attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is very nice. I will always be coming back. ***A quick note to the people that think Utah is too far from the ocean to have decent seafood, do yourself a favor and learn about how the seafood and shipping industries work. You sound like a fool when you say that the fish isn’t fresh.

Waitress’ we’re kind, the house salad was good. However the miso soup was average, not excellent. I probably won’t eat here again, the fish was not fresh and the amount of fish they give out on their rolls, sushi, and sashimi was sub par. Also the rolls were served on chipped dishes, which carry bacteria(not what you want around raw fish).

The bento box for lunch was great so I’ll give this place a couple stars! It came with a lot of chicken that was tasty and fresh. It lacked a sushi roll that many bento boxes include, however. The sushi was terribly fishy; it didn’t seem fresh. Our server disappeared and we were literally one of two tables there so it wasn’t because she had her hands full. I got up to use the bathroom and, voila, she was sitting at the bar just hanging out. We won’t be back.

Meh. Be aware if trying this place that they have no liquor license… So no sake or Sapporo. Miso soup way too salty. Sushi rolls average… And only a few selections that don’t have fried stuff in them. On the plus side, prices are reasonable, service was fast, and it’s a nice atmosphere.
